Why is that such a shock to so many? Being that we are all human, it stands to reason that a job doesn't make all evil and in a protest there will be intelligent, decent folks mixed in with shitheads. I think social media has allowed people to be so hateful so easily that we have become accustomed to the expectation of good and evil, no grey area. Or maybe we are too lazy to think about the situation and just assume the worst. For those two, there are hundreds more that feel the same. It's sad to see people shocked over the fact that eveyone isn't out to loot and burn and hate the law and whitey. It would be even more awesome if more people would think before they do. Cheers.

@@FOCKTARD The point of the protest is to prevent police violence against innocent people. Not all cops are bad, but there are also good ones out there. I hope you'll be able to understand through the protester's perspective because imagine having to learn how to protect yourself from the people who are supposed to protect you. I don't hate the cops, I just hope the bad ones don't try to use their power in an a abuseful way to hurt others. To me, I want everyone to be treated fairly by all officers no matter the race. I also want those who abuse their power to face the consequences without leniency involved. So, while you may assume that we want all cops gone, we don't. We just want to feel safe.

After police had those pictures taken of them kneeling "in solidarity", eyewitnesses reported that they afterwards put on their riot gear and started assaulting the protesters and shooting them with tear gas. This crap is propaganda for the police to win public support that they don't deserve. They police are still out there assaulting civilians and reporters.

I hope and pray that the next step is for the good people among the protesters to realize that they have been heard, that further destruction is doing more and more damage to the cause, and to just stop. When you are a good person, protesting a just cause, but criminals are using these protests as a human shield from which to commit horrible crimes... there have been arsons, looting, murders, assaults, and rape... at some point, people need to decide not to provide cover to the criminals. @Hector Aldozar Man people like you really grind my gears. Just say what you want to say, don't pussyfoot around with sarcasm especially on a platform where your tone of voice and facial expression cannot be seen to convey your message.
We see, I think, two state patrol officers in any detail during this video. Which is in no way representative of the demographic make up of their numbers. You keep making it about race in every instance and that will get you no where.
Those protesters broke the law which is why they're being arrested. They no doubt were given every option to cease and desist, but they stood their ground on their protesting knowing full well the consequences, which for them being peaceful will no doubt be a slap on the wrist and some hours detained. Minor losses when compared to the crime against Floyd, and their voices are heard.
You sir are part of the problem. Mind sets like yours, at least from what I can glean from your comments, only cause other people to make poor choices of it comes to situations of violence after or during protests that devolve into riots. Which will put the officers in those situations who's job it is to keep the peace into even more difficult positions. I don't need to remind you thats when people get hurt and killed on both ends.
The people here did well on all ends, and the news showed us exactly what they needed to without any bias or obvious agendas.

I was a NYC Police Detective for 18 of my 21 year career. I worked the street during the 80’s and 90’s when NYC was absolute pandemonium. We were getting close to 3000 Homicides a year, there was a Crack-Cocaine Epidemic going on. We’ve dealt with the most violent of criminals that at times it would take 6-8 of us to restrain and handcuff him. I don’t know how they do it elsewhere, but in my day, the protocol was to contain, restrain(if needed), handcuff the prisoner, get him on his feet, place him in the police car, and get him out of there immediately. Believe me, I’ve gotten more than my share of an ass whooping from strung out violent people. It’s nothing personal on both sides. Cops do not respond to a location unless 911 is called. I watched that film from all angles about 50 or so times. And when a handcuffed man’s failed attempt at begging for “Somebody” to save him from a police officer, then there’s a problem. I can’t speak for 2020, but in 1985, when there was no video cameras and cell phones, if a NYC Cop did that to a handcuffed prisoner, he would be immediately removed from the scene by a Supervisor, and at the end of the tour of duty, that Cop would’ve got the Shit beat out of him in the locker room. That Piece of Shit Cop set Respect and Trust for Law Enforcement Back 50 years. I’ve seen it many times in my day. And sadly, I’ll see it again. Remember, when you do good, no one remembers...when you do bad, no one forgets.

I always wondered why the media didn't highlight this. Glad I found a clip of it. WCCO did an amazing job covering the riots, especially Max. It's a shame we've devolved further since then.

Thank you for being there, we need you, our country needs people liked you. Please be safe, stay healthy and God bless.

This man being interviewed said more than he may have known. "We want to convey the message that we are all not the same...They are them (referring to the violent protesters), we are us. This is the very message that every member of law enforcement wants heard as well. This commonality is a perfect way to actually start the conversations that are so desperately needed-

@@SSKMusicBeats shouldnt the peaceful protesters have the same obligation to stop or not follow the violent ones, as they claim that the police should do when dealing with bad cops? So in other words even if antifa are the origin of the riots, they are not forcing the rest to become violent as well. But they are. And that makes them just as much the problem.

These idiots are being used for propaganda. They obviously haven't been beaten yet.
The entire world is watching right now, wait in a couple months when everything cools down, gonna be a lot of arrests, broken bones and "he was reaching" for my gun. You think the problem was 4 cops and the good cops should have got rid of them years ago ... when all these journalists go back home, Minnesota PD will come out to play, they are being embrassasd right now in front of the entire world as buildings burn.
Controlling people hate being embarrassed, they hate it very much.

I feel like it would be a good call to push for a direct and exact action, such as demanding that a police with any accounts of excessive and unneccessary violence be instantly removed from their service, would being together many passionate voices into one strong and powerful wave. Nobody can decently argue for violent officers to keep their jobs. I personally feel that a group demanding this change nationwide would greatly affect and improve the safety of Americans and bring justice back. I feel like asking for this is a way to really make a difference in the most efficient manner possible.

Yeah that's what the whole movement is about. People disagree on the details but the only way to end this cycle is create some accountability for police. If they don't do that these protests may end but they'll be back in 6 or 12 months when some more people are murdered
