@@brostenen You missed out if you weren't minding the demo scene in the 1990s, here's one of the classic examples from the 7MHz Amiga 500 demo vintage: ua-cam.com/video/jziQBWQxvok/v-deo.html Or, if you want something with more of a dance floor vibe, I got the impression that Fairlight/CNCD's Ziphead from 2015, may have been paying a bit of homage to this Spaceballs demo from 1992: ua-cam.com/video/89wq5EoXy-0/v-deo.html

@@hermitgreenn Mmmm, have you used Notch? It's what was used to create this demo, the message is hidden in the "NOThing to see on this CHannel" opening portion, deliberately. I assure you, all of NOTCH, runs in realtime, all of the time.

he used a software called notch, i believe he either made it or was coded some part of it. and the thing is that this for me is impressing on just the monitor but pair this video with i think 3x 4k projector plus concert grade audio setup. Aka ASM 2019, like it just blew my mind away at how good and far software or even code can go.
Does that count as a Megademo again? For me - yes. The only downside I see over 2nd reality (or much of the conspiracy stuff, which is not as all-out as this) is it's less Immersion, like looking through a pane of glass. Which it is, I suppose.
This is the best i have seen in YEARS!!! The scene is BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Don´t know how many times i've been watching this demo now. Absolutely brilliant in all aspects. Syncronisation and innovation 100%
You cannot possibly fit any more style into 5 minutes than this demo
smell of 90's spirit ....... scene is great again ... and demo is an art again ... marvelous work
AGAIN ! 1
I dont remember any of this from back in the 1990's. Sorry to say.

@@grey5626 I did watch demo's from the late 1980's and forward. However I was never a part of the Demo scene as such.
Every few seconds a new visual language, once a day there will be dissertations about that outstanding piece of art.
Has to be watched a few times to appreciate the phenomenal coding, music and all round presentation in this masterpiece.
Agreed on music and presentation, but doesn’t notch do the coding for you?
@@jasperd.5734 Yeah, but the people who made this demo are the coders behind Notch.

Demoscene makes the best music.

I desperately need air ! OMFG, I can watch it over and over again
what an incredible piece of electronic artwork. fantastik
Holy Mother of God! That is next level stuff!
Watching this at 0.25speed and still blown away
thanks for this!!!!!!!!! love it sooooo much!!!!!
love this demo more and more and more
Created with one of the most advanced real-time VFX tools ever created- Notch.
Probably developed by one person too (smash)
Yes...fairlight did the vast majority of the work on the software.
The final demoscene demo. 30 years of evolution ends like this.
I am in awe.
I love it
This is incredible.
Amazing work of art
Massive. Really massive.
After Effects would take 5 days to render this on the same GPU.
To be fair, the pre-render phase wouldn't take nearly as much. It's give and take.

This IS definitely something different and original!
U can fill 300 pages in a graphic design book from dis. Impressive !
Which would cover the basics of the loader. You'd have to buy the other 16 volumes to learn the demo itself.
pure awesomeness.
Hoooly shit! ASD cleans his shoes with this design. Absolutely amazing stuff. 5:20 of brilliant design! LEARN THIS DEMOSCENE!
How do you come up with this stuff...pure art.
I love all those distortions! Can anyone tell me the name of the song?
Did anyone answer ? Or did they master the audio themselves ?

Did the demoscene do a full 180 and is now underground again?

Amiga never died, Commodore on the other hand...
Winner, easily. Thought it was nice to see a demo from Orange as well

Amen Break YIHAAAA
wjat gfx card do you have?
I AM ULTIMATE & SAD
badass :)
Now. How they would use NVIDIA RTX?
how would they need nvidia RTX it runs prity well on vega to for realtime though i screwed my encoder settings up heh
Not necessary for this demo, it ran beautifully in on a 4K 120Hz display on a GTX1080 I had in a laptop from 2016.
it deserves first
omg
What's your system? This demo runs like ASS on my I7 & RX 580 :(
so good but, I was wondering how much real code has been involved in this production? this demo looks like been made in 'demo app' in 4 days

11th place, WTF? I want to see the 1st place then!
This actually won, I guess they just meant they were 11th to be presented.
Booring, almost fell asleep.. just chaotic stuff, none of my interest, and acid beats - omg, thank you.
