    Hey man, just an FYI, you should NEVER stack blocks. Always use one block of the total height you're trying to achieve.

    Same thing happened to me. I added a 2.5" in front and wanted it level, now the front is a bit higher so I ordered one for the back to level it out.

    Why lift the truck and place on jack stands to only lower the rear axle to place tires on ground again? Just remove the lower shock bolt, 4-nuts from bottom bracket and bracket, then old u-bolts, place a block of wood on a floor jack or bottle jack under the spring, in front of the spring perch on the axle and lift. Place block between spring and spring perceh, lower. jack and install new u-bolts Do the same on the other side.
    And as noted before; NEVER STACK BLOCKS.

    Great look. I have a 2016 platinum, looking to put 2 or 2.5 plates in the front. You think I’ll be able to fit 34” tires, going to use factory rims. Have same as you. 20”

      I have an 18 with a 2.5" level with Ridge Grapplers in 34's. 275/65r20 (narrower) but it fits not problem (no trimming anything or cutting crash bars). 35/11.5r20 would have fit as well. A buddy has 35/12.5r20s on his 16 with a 2" level and he has no rubbing and no modification to the crash bars.

      I did go back and trimm them. Had to get a good blade for the sawsall. The front level is a Rough Country spacer. The back is just a ebay block, nonbrand.

    So I have a 2.5 inch lift in the front of my 2020 f150. What size rear block should I get? Stock one is like 1.5”. Should I get a 2 inch block or 2.5 to level it out? Also could you just loosen the u bolts then jack up on the leaf springs enough to slide the blocks in and out? Seems easier and faster?

    I have a 2014 f150 xtr. I want to level it by 2 inches. All the videos I’ve seen say or do the front only. That levels it. I’m in Canada and called a tire shop. They said I also have to lift the back by 1 inch. Total cost $880cnd!!

    • @ricardosworkshop
      @ricardosworkshop  4 роки тому +1

      That sounds expensive but it depends on what they do. If its just a spacer in front and block in back, with alignment. Is shouldn't be that expensive.
      If they replace struts/arms/spindles... it could easily be that expensive.

    • @GoProGoalieUzi
      @GoProGoalieUzi 4 роки тому +1

      Ricardo's Workshop hmm why would they need to change those other parts, I guess if they say there worn out...but that could be a money grab. I just want a 2 inch level..not spend $880 lol

    • @ricardosworkshop
      @ricardosworkshop  4 роки тому

      Right. A 2 inch level is simple and easy. But it does change the angle of the control arms. And could wear out the upper ball joints. Usually this is not a big concern but if you really want to keep the geometry correct, it does involve more parts and more money.
      That being said. I went up 2.5" and didn't change anything.

    If the truck is on level (should always jack vehicles when level) ground, you do not need to block the tires. Jacking up a vehicle doesnt make it go downhill.
