This is a quick and easy way how to make a healthy breakfast smoothie in the Vitamix with many different kinds of fruits, protein, and oatmeal. This is a very balanced meal with lots of fiber, complex carbohydrates, protein, and a valuable source of essential vitamins and nutrients.

You can use pretty much all seeds from any fruit or vegetable. Think of them as the building blocks for the plant, they are packed with vitamins and nutrients. As far as I know papaya seeds are the only ones you dont want use, as they do not make your drink taste very good. The skin, cores and some stems can be used as well. It all blends very smooth if ran for 45-60 seconds. I wouldn't recommend using any pits or rinds though.

I just got my Vitamix and have been wondering about using the whole fruits, seeds and all. I didn't think about putting the oatmeal in it. Good advice. I'm sure you were giving more great advice, but you tried to talk over the blender and failed lol I had to turn down the volume because it was just too much. Maybe next time you could talk before or after it's all blended ;)

About 20-24 oz of this will usually keep me full for about 2 hours or so all by itself. I have started to drink this along with 3 or 4 scrambled eggs in the morning for added protein for my workout regimen and that makes for a more filling breakfast.

I like to use the muscle milk vanilla protein. Its one of the best tasting Ive ever had and it blends really well with different fruits.

Raw oatmeal works grat. I now only use raw oats to try and cut back the amount of sugar in my smoothies.

@GrieverKai A vitamix 5200 blender really depends where you buy it. From the website is about 449 but with tax it will be around $500. Though I bought my 5200 from Costco for about $430 in total so always try to see if your local Costco or Any wholesale store is having any Vitamix demonstrations for the best price.

Its strawberry instant oatmeal. I have tried other kinds as well but I think the strawberry is the best tasting. I also use strawberry yogurt for my morning smoothies which I didnt use in the video. Granola is also good to use.

Its the 5000 model, it has the same power and speed as the newer 5200 model.

I use 4 oz plain yogurt and steel-cut oats in my breakfast smoothies. I simmer 1/2 cup steel cut oats in 2 cups of water (that's 2 servings) for one minute the night before and let it soak overnight in the fridge. The oats soak up 90% of the water. They soak up more water if you let them cool at room temp for about an hour before putting it in the fridge. Instead of doing it overnight, you can make several up ahead of time and store them in the fridge. Everything else I do the same.

Well you cant be that lazy if you use this machine almost everyday. It is a great habit to get into and it certainly is a lot quicker and easier to make if you have your fruits prepped and ready to go. When my bananas and pineapple get ripe I'll usually cut them up and freeze them. If you have everything prepped and bagged then it makes it a lot faster to make in the morning.

A cheap blender definitely will not do the same thing as a Vitamix. In a cheap blender you get more of a chunkie than a smoothie. The Vitamix is on average 2-3 times more powerful and 2-3 times faster than most store bought blenders. They are made of much higher quality materials and have a lot more capability than any regular blender. If you can find one at a Costco road show they are usually the best price there. I believe they're right at $400 for the new 5200 model.

The cyanide is bonded and will only break down under VERY specific cases Vitamin B-17 aka laetrile is not toxic to human (*everything is toxic in large enough amounts) please see "A world without cancer" G Edward Griffin where Vitamin B17 is discuses at length. Then ask why you have never heard about it or even see it mentioned in a nutrition book? Very interesting stuff, please go watch it's 60 mins worth every minute IMO. Peace and good health to all.
