There is already a lot of IT in Surveying. Most people get into surveying through a geo-informatics degree. Most of our softwares are made by Surveyors with the help of IT people though.
Im a Quantity Surveyor with a Monitoring and Evaluation post grad. M&E is data analytics based. It saves me good when combining the two. However all l can say is Data analytics is a sort after skill in every industry and one has to recalibrate one's profession towards a bias in data analytics.

I did my Btech Financial Information Systems in 2013 with TUT.Next year i am starting masters with MANCOSA.

But not everyone can get a CS degree, and obviously, this is not advice, just showing others what they can do, especially with those degrees with no jobs. They can get into tech but definitely not advising scholars not to consider a degree.

Both can work, find one that aligns with the type of skills you have. If you have web development and Data analytics skills I’d say create a website with all the relevant projects. But if you have only data analytics skills, having your projects on GitHub still works perfectly fine. Just find a way to have recruiters access your GitHub projects on your resume maybe by using a link or by having one of the greatest projects you’ve done as an intro to recruiters accessing your projects on GitHub
