Hi all I only saw messages now. I did it through Fortinet, the company I work for is a partner of theirs, the course was challenging but because I work in an environment where I am use to most of the technologies surrounding cyber security, it was manageable. Good luck guys.
This reminds me of the gentleman who you previously interviewd who also has an engineering background but now working as a consultant. He mentioned that engineers are at an advantage in a business setting becasue of their problem solving skills.

My other Cyber Security interests are Forensics, GRC (Governance, Risk and Compliance) and Threat Intelligence, that I have picked up interest in. I also have a BCom Law degree that i first did before going into cyber security. Question.....: Is there a market or demand (locally or internationally) for the above mentioned cyber security interests of mine.

Work/life Balance - the first 2 years you will not have work/life balance as you need to put in extra hours to upskill yourself and master the day to day expectations of a cybersecurity consultant. One you get the hang of it you can efficiently manage your time Code- yes if you will go into penetration testing, no if you will do the other facets of cyber
Day to day job of a cybersecurity- to simply if l will break it up into 3 parts Team meetings - these are internal meetings you will have with your managers to review work you have done and plot next steps. Average of 20% of the time Execution - you will spend most of your time doing the work, which depends on the project you are on. For instance, if you’re on a cybersecurity strategy review project you will spend time reviewing your clients cybersecurity posture and coming up with recommendations to improve it. 70% of your time goes here Client interactions- 10% of your time. This is presenting work to clients, getting their feedback etc
How Khanyi, could you please elaborate more on the graduate programme? Within the graduate programme was your role an associate? And also, consulting is well known for travelling to clients, which provinces and countries have you travelled to as a consultant? Side note: this was such an informative interview ❤

Why those certs - they align to cyber strategy and governance. They are recognised globally
