I think a specific point needs to be emphasized. I have spent over 500 dollars on poe1 over the course of 10+ years of playing. When December 6th comes, I get in poe2 early access for free because of my previous contributions and ALL of my purchases from the last 10 years in the first game are available in the second game. Poe2 comes out and I don’t have to spend a dime on it, not for the game, not for microtransactions, and my last 10 years of investments to this company has not gone to waste because even now I can still use it in a completely new game. That whole concept is completely unheard of in gaming. Every sequel that comes out for any game is a completely new game that you have to pay for and you are starting over from scratch, nothing comes over from previous titles. You also NEVER see games pull microtransactions over from previous titles because they try to capitalize on players having to buy everything again. Poe2 isn’t just a cool new game, this is a revolution of gaming history. The only thing we can hope for is that this game is insanely successful and other companies take note.
It's a genius strategy by GGG, but it was also almost necessary. The biggest initial playerbase for POE2 is the playerbase for POE1, and we all saw what Everquest2 and Destiny2 did to their respective companies by splitting and angering their playerbases. Hopefully, the many more mainstream elements of POE2 will draw many more players, growing the GGG fan base... like all of my IRL buddies who play D4 that I can't get to even touch POE1 (and I understand why).
Every single thing you get in POE2 is the direct result of YOUR money. You are literally seeing your investments into GGG pay off. The endless content, the endless systems and mechanics, all of it is because you supported the game and the developers. This genuinely never happens in the gaming industry. Most of the time, the money spent on MTX goes right into the pockets of corporate executives. POE2 is a genuine win for consumers.
Except I didn't buy anything ever, my friend felt bad for me and bought me some stash tabs after he found out I was playing for 2 years with no tabs as well.
@@ialphasoul2460 THIS alone, says SO much about the Devs. They dont need to do this, and people would spend the money for all the tabs etc, but doing out of the goodness of their heart, unheard of. Best Devs on the planet
thats why im buying the 100$ supporter pack from the get go. Its the best game of all time for me, and this is the only dev company besides fromsoft I have the deepest sense of respect for.
@@dimvots6729no one would care if d4 was good but even then you have to pay for the game and the expansion was not worth the cost lol But remember Poe is obviously f2p while on launch for d4 just to get early access you needed to spend 100 dollars
@@culguyvegeta Does it? PoE1 has nearly 2x the players of D4 right now (on steamDB, both gams have secondary clients ofc) in the midst of the worst content drought it's ever had. Even if GGG made half per player than Blizzard does it'd be coming out even. Once PoE2 comes out it won't even be close. It also helps that PoE costs way, way less to make and maintain for GGG than D4 does for Diablo.
@callmeconvay7977 not really. D4 is a paid game, that's coming off a paid expansion that has generally been received well. You said POE makes more money than D4 and that statement is straight up not true. POE might be extraordinary game better than D4 by a mile, but it's still an indie game.
translation: GGG is such a better game company, they puzzled why they keep making less money than Diablo. So they took a hard look at their own POE1 and decided to make a POE2 that appealed to a wider audience and attempt to get some of that mainstream revnue.
I'm sorry if you're a die hard D4 player and you hate this news....but it is hysterical in my opinion. We literally have the "General Manager of all things Diablo" coming out right after the presentation and seemingly trying to take credit for GGG's work by saying the game should be called "Diablo like" lol. It is a Diablo like game....Diablo 2. Which as far as I'm aware, Rod was just a player like us of and not anywhere close to the driver of that creative vision. Hysterical in it's desperation is what the tweet was. Any Diablo player trying to make the switch? The community at large for PoE is not Gatekeepy despite some bad actors who may be loud. Diablo 4 ain't being canceled...but the writing is on the wall for where the cultural zeitgeist is gonna be starting in 2 weeks.
@@dimvots6729 You can enjoy both, but it's hard not to wish that D4 was more than it is considering how much bigger the studio is. I enjoy eating processed fast food once in a while, but it's just not the same as a home-made meal from a local restaurant, even if it's a bigger time commitment.
Two things for your points. 1) I've been seeing a lot of Diablo 4 weirdos get defensive over PoE2's announcement. Don't be a weirdo. 2) The PoE Community is honestly super excited about an influx of players. Not only because the obvious but because it means a healthier market.
Quick correction/clarification: Weapon sets don't have completely separate skill trees, but rather only differ by 12 skill points (presumably; assuming the 2 per act we've seen in the showcase). So if you are a fire + lightning mage you probably want to mostly take general elemental damage nodes, and then specialize your weapon sets with 2-3 dedicated fire and lightning clusters.
D4 going to have hundreds of thousands of players next season as well but if you want we can bet on it. It caters to casuals, it does the exact same thing but opposite to poe. And casuals are simply many.
D4 & other MMO HnS ARPG's devs will get pressure from PoE2 and I love it! Let they compete each others, push them to make game better then we - players will get the most benefit from it.
These games are not competing with each other, PoE is for the more aggressive and dedicated aRPG fans, where Diablo is for the most casual. They can both exist.
I've never bought this argument. I am a late 30s dad with 2 kids, I game for 6 hours a week max. I can recognise that D4 is a completely empty experience and PoE is filled with exciting content. Last D4 season I played, I'd done everything I wanted to do in a week and a half. In PoE Settlers I quit the league 6 weeks in having done more than I ever had in a league before (32 challenges) but still having tons of content I hadn't done.
@fang_xianfu i disagree, I work 2 jobs totaling around 65 hours a week, I enjoy both games for different reasons. It's extremely disingenuous comparing poes 13+ years of content vs d4s 2. That said, I love poe way more, regardless of Diablo making way more money than poe has.
PoE1 was already vastly superior to D4 besides the visuals and cinematics. This game was the reason I quit D4. I couldn't believe a ten years old game with mostly outdated grsphics could be so vastly better than a brand new AAA game developed by thousands of persons. It was an eye opening experience haha. PoE2 will only further put Blizzard to shame
Is path of exile casual friendly? I want something in depth to sink my teeth into. But i dont wanna play a game that requires me to play it like its a full time job. A couple hours every day is totally fine.
POE2 seems to have streamlined alot of things that were the most complicated parts of the first one. So i think you will be fine, the only thing that would take a little bit of time to get used to is the passive skilltree. But even that isn't that complicated if you look at it long enough
@@agav2345 ya it’s the WarFrame and Demon souls of ARPG … I dono how kids in gaming today will like the mental side of it this 15-20 second era lol and every game nowadays is full of hand holding.. this game will not provide any hand holding neither does the map they want you to get lost in there like going hiking and getting stranded you just gotta figure it out 😂 this game is going to test casual gamers in ways they haven’t been tested … it may be a hit or a game full of complainers like in Diablo 4 I heard they nerfed so many things so that everyone could win an get the same super special gear so nothing felt special anymore because everyone has it ..…. With POE you gotta earn your stripes the game is all about tough luck I would say Diablo is feminine the mother giving you everything spoiling you … POE is the harsh and disciplinary farther you will hate it but you will appreciate him later for the lessons learned which will be the rewards you get from the struggles it’s like destiny 1 raids .. I loved having gear that most people didnt have and I earned it with sweat and tears many nights of frustration and anger but it was with a loyal group and we all did it together those are memories I will never forget ..it was so rewarding .. I just know the gear in POE are gonna be insane that and a lot or most people won’t have them and will dream, cry and wine about how much they would love to have it including myself but we’ll all need to go through the gauntlets of fire to earn it ….this game caters to the hardcore gamers which is great for all of them because they will have something dope to show off and they’ll have content for years it’s a great game for hard core content creators … I’m happy for them
PoE is definitely not casual-friendly in that you need to put a lot of effort into understanding mechanics and building out your character and content. I would argue that PoE is casual-friendly in that you don't need to play that often or for very long sessions to make meaningful progress.
I play POE1 as a casual, just by playing to experience the seasonal league minigame, and quitting around act 5/6, before the locked in nature of my messed up build matters. But the full game? Not casual friendly. Last Epoch is much much better for casuals.
@PatrickF.Fitzsimmons "back on top" War within sucks, it's pure cope. Diablo is dead, overwatch is dead, starcraft is abandoned, wow is only kept alive by addicts that can't move to another game.

Tho im sure most of the PoE community dislikes or even hate modern Diablo, any Diablo player is more than welcome to jump on board. Diablo doesnt treat you right guys, doesnt value your time nor your money :/ Dont be frightened of the systems of PoE i remember years ago when i first started playing PoE i was lost as hell so i asked about the mechanics and stuff in the Global chat and people were more than happy to help me out, even enthusiastic about it. Love you PoE community
I suspsect the majority of the POE player base plays Diablo4, but the converse is not true. I enjoy POE league minigames, but the rest of it can do without. We're not afraid of Path of Building, we just don't like the locked-in non-experimental non-exploratory gameplay it creates. POE2 looks like an amazing step in a direction I can support. I fully expect to uninstall POE1 in favor of POE2. Diablo(4) will remain. My greatest hope is that I can get some of my friends who only play D4 to try POE2.
@@davidj9977 this is such a hard take for me to understand. All that flexibility is in PoE if you just want to shut PoB and play your own way. Some content creators like DM and NyxVellum did exactly that on their first playthrough in the last year. Then in the endgame you have atlas passives and juicing strategies to let you experiment with tons of different styles of play. Meanwhile D4 has... almost no customisation, almost no build diversity... Almost no endgame...
D4 is not in trouble. There will always be a lot of people for who PoE2 will be too hard and complex, who just want to press "I win" button and have some casual fun.
that's funny, becuase I consider POE1 to be the more simplistic "i win button" of the two. There are quite literally zero and one button builds for POE1. I'm looking forward to POE2 being harder, becuase POE1 puts me to sleep. I hear they detuned the difficulty from early playests, and that makes me sad.
@@davidj9977 yeah, but it takes a hell of an effort to create that "I win" button :D (speaking as a PoE veteran who realized more than hundred of own builds without any guides). What I meant was game simplicity and causal-friendliness of D4, which is guaranteed in my opinion to sustain most of its current customers.
I'm tired of people not being able to compliment Poe without throwing shots at Diablo. People can play both. Tired of fanboys trying to paint their own narrative and thinking a gaming company is some gang or cult that you have to swear your loyalty to.
I'm tired of people not being able to compare two different games in the same genre without fanboys screeching that they shouldn't compare them because they have their own narrative of thinking. That gamers shouldn't be able to compare games lest they offend the lesser game company and the fanboys.
No, Blizzard isn't in trouble because they had ample time to improve D4, but now the buzz for POE2 is hot; Blizzard should keep the same energy and do nothing. Similar to Ubisoft, don't wait till sucker punch reveals a new trailer for the Ghost sequel. Now, remove your game to fix it. It is suitable for them. Bioware is next. Keep putting trash out. Soon, we will see a documentary on the decline of gaming because players are getting tired of 💩 just like these shit movies
If POE2 will be as INaccessible as POE1 for the more causal players than poe2 will just be another niche ARPG for the nolifers or streamers... The amount of grinding required in this game puts any existing ARPG in the ground... Just silly... not at all suitable for the more casual players. You just don't get enough currency, gear or anything to do anything.
@ItalianSpartacus I'm glad you called yourself out for the clickbait, honestly do you find if you don't make these titles your videos do worst? Your presentation is top notch I've always enjoyed your videos. I also agree that with seasons you can play more than 1 game, Diablo is my favorite series but this year I've play last epoch, d4, torchlight infinitive and I'm super pumped for poe 2! Keep up the great videos and if you can cut back on the click bait!
24:50 we know this. Your point will stay as they are. But you can get additional weapon specific points from optional bosses. And those are alocated only with certain weapon.
I really hate this narrative that D4 is in trouble....feels like those who don't actually play it consistently and only speak from the outside the reason such a sheer amount of folks play D4 is that it is accessible...so many dads out here with only a hour a day and just wanna sit down and get down and PoE 2 while more streamlined is going to not be as appealing to the casual player....PoE is almost certainly going to be better...but contrary to popular beliefs there is room for more than one game...those folks will still be playing D4 .so i do not disagree about PoE looking awesome it's just this ridiculous concept that D4 is going to die....well crap just seen the part of the Video till you pointed out what I was saying lol..thank you and glad I kept watching 😁...who cares what you prefer just play what u find fun who cares what folks say..ppl been saying D4 bad/dead since the first seasons pre patch...but between all the launchers the gane still has MASSIVE amount of players
Diablo IV was competing again PoE. It can't do anything against PoE II. Someone forgot to do market research while in development. Blizzard didn't read the room well.
Been a Diablo fan since barely being able to run the brand new D1 on my first computer, but I still haven't bought D4 (got to lvl20 on a free week). This looks a lot more worthy of time and 30$ than D4, but I'll still wait for 1.0. I won't contribute feedback, so I might as well discover the full game. One thing you didn't mention: how does it work with season? I hate the idea of starting new characters every time when a single character takes forever to even get to 90%. Seasons should modify the whole game, not force you to either ditch your wip character or ignore then and only play the base game, imo. Edit: still looking for more PoE2 content though, nothing like starting informed! Also, thoughts on Darktide in 2025? I like Vermintide, still haven't bought Darktide because I'm bored of Nurgle/Plague/Zombies.
It seems like every single design decision made with PoE2 is a direct response to a pain point from D4. If word of mouth spreads too much and PoE2 achieves breakout success, then D4 is going to be in trouble unless we see sweeping changes to the whole game.
Nonsense. I am a casual player, not elite in any sense, that plays games several hours a day, not 12+. I will be playing both D4 and POE2 for the foreseeable future. I love D4 seasons and I am sure I will be play POE2 Legends too. There is no reason for the hate. I can see the appeal of POE2 for elite games and streamers but most of us are casual players and will enjoy both.
I'm incredibly excited to play Poe2 , this is everything I wanted and more. The art/art style , graphics, spell effects, ost , monster/boss design, changes to the systems, skill gems out of gear, in game wiki, better explanations and more , it looks amazing The bosses in poe2 are so well done, souls like with good hitboxes, mechanics. I love that you can dodge and the bosses in maps don't just melt I bought the EA pack for Poe1 in 2012 after 4500h , here we go again a in Poe2
I hated POE1, but this POE2 looks amazing. Feels like we are getting a blessing after the people I won't name, destroyed Dragon Age. I was hoping to put hundreds of hours into that. Now it looks like I can instead put hundreds into POE2 and even play it with my wife. Once Civ7 comes out, I'm dropping everything until Elder Scrolls 6 comes out.
@@italianspartacus On the one hand, I agree. On the other, I do feel if don't go against the slob along with its enjoyers, it will eventually become the norm and the whole gaming industry will suffer in the long run. I don't want pc gaming to become soulless predatory goo like mobile gaming market.
Yes, they can all exist in the same genre and timeframe, but my time is limited, as is my money, so I have to be more discerning as to which one I want to play.
D4 is not in trouble. Aside from being the most profitable ARPG franchise (surpassed only by Diablo Immortal), even with all the bugs, balance issues, crashes, loot wonkiness, and lack of endgame, it still appeals to casual players better than any other...and since Diablo is a pay-then-play game, we all already paid for it (multiple times). My greatest hope for GGG, is that POE2''s many mainstream focused changes work out, because I can't get any of my friends to play POE1.
My two biggest issues with PoE: 1) The gameplay itself plays like a "bullet hell" game instead of a fantasy rpg. 2) The loot system is designed like a casino.
Yeah I like this too, u don't need optimized setup. This way u just select one and continue playing. We can spend time fiddling with supports in the endgame.
If anyone thinks POE 1 or 2 will kill Diablo 4 you are delusional. It does not target the same audience and D4 has a lot more casual gamers who support it
one of the earlier videos showed one character shooting gas nades and the sorcerer using a flame skill to burn it all down. So synergy is very much possible
Absofuckinglutely man. Hence that section saying both games can be good. Am I going to stop playing Diablo when this launches? Definitely. Am I going to go back to Diablo on the seasons that interest me? You bet. That's the point of these games, you cycle them in seasons. Sometimes you just want a specific esthetic the game provides!
@@italianspartacus Sorry, I should have elaborated, that wasn't meant as a jab at you, more the community at large. The fanboy stuff I see everywhere is just so cringe. Like you said, Seasons allow these games to be cycled and they can coexist just fine.
Man this stuff is looking very nice. I am normally a typical goth necro summoner eldritch warlocky player and the witch will be fun, but that mercenary looks dope
Bro I wish that has an easy way to import peoples’s builds, (passive skill tree points etc) . I definitely felt the hype for the expansion but as soon as I saw the tree I knew it would be a road block and that I’d have to wait for a guide or feel like I was going to make a mistake. A
When you started talking in the first few minutes about having to buy in game currency in order to get early access. You should have made it super clear that PoE has never had pay to win transactions. If I hadn’t known about PoE, I would probably immediately assumed how having to buy in game currency in a “free” game. This has to be a crappy pay to win game.
D4 will still be around it’s for casual players, when POE 2 hype dies down and D4 players playing POE 2 will realize they don’t have the time to grind they will go back to D4. This does not mean POE 2 is not good, just mean it not for everyone.
I think us Poe 1 players are greatly under estimating how much we will be wanting automations for buffs and auto trigger skills. We will be pressing dodge/roll, life flask, mana flask, main skill, combo skill, buffs on cooldowns, weapon swaps and trying to use key board to move 😬
From what we've seen you'll only be doing combos against bosses or super tanky rares, it shouldn't feel annoying. Also weapon swaps happen automatically when you use a skill now. If you press spark, it automatically switches to your lightning staff. With all that being said, there are automation meta gems for this reason 😊
@ so in Poe 1 there are a few skills we can use to combo like flame wall, lightning conduit, desecrate. Outside of leveling they never get used, especially since the DD nerf because pressing 2 buttons to deal damage is a serious disadvantage. And in d4 no one likes the generator skill/ damage skill play style for similar reasons. The most likely reason they limited flasks to life and mana and took away the utility flasks is because we will be pressing so many buttons the devs are already trying to cut it back some. It’s just something I’m seeing that nobody else is really seeing
@@sethjones6711 No one uses combo skills in PoE1 because they barely increase your damage against bosses. Pressing a single button to drop a 1500% hammer that does 3x damage to a stunned enemy is something people will consider using. People don't like generators in Diablo 4 because they do zdps against trash mobs and you have to spam core skills to actually kill stuff. In PoE2 your main spammable skill is enough to kill weak enemies. You are looking at it from the perspective of other games that fail to solve these problems rather than a game that succeeds at it. Combos are for single target, 1 button skills are for aoe map clear, and if you want to automate something just use a meta gem like cast on ignite/stun/kill/shock/minion death/etc.
@@neppity5887 I’ll make a prediction now that the best builds in Poe 2 will be builds that find a way to use one skill. I’ll also make a second prediction that end game builds will go for tankyness to a degree that we will not have to worry about pressing the dodge or block buttons…. Just remember how much we cried and complained about having to press our flasks buttons over and over until ggg made instilling orbs.. Poe players hate pressing buttons but now we are ok with it? Once the fresh paint wears off we will be back to being crybabies complaining about our hands cramping and wrists hurt…. Just watch all the gameplay, every class they show is using multiple skills on mobs and even after the big combos there is still mobs left.. 3000x more damage only feels cool when the screen gets deleted. I’m telling you man, it’s going to wear you down and you’ll be looking for ways to maximize just using one skill
@ Your prediction is pointless. Jonathan has already stated 1 button builds will be viable with insane gear, but by that point you'll already be 1 shotting a boss on the first stun/freeze anyways. He has also already stated that he expects people to find broken interactions. I'll make a counter prediction; anything mainstream that is deleting uber bosses using 1 skill with trash gear is going to get nerfed in Early Access, even if it works at first. Look at the gameplay, sorc was basically afking through mobs using ball lightning and all instances of boss HP getting nuked down were after debuffing the boss first. How much do you want to bet they didn't even have minmaxed gear/builds? If your entire life revolved around playing Mines, DD or LA Deadeye for the past 5 years of league resets just wait and copy whatever takes the least amount of gear and brainpower to play the game. Just don't be surprised when a boss is taking 1% of its life every single attack because you refuse to press 2 every 20-30 seconds during a stun or freeze lol.
So is Path of Exile 2 a "games as a service" type game? When you said you could get access by spending $480 in Path of Exile 1, that sounds like it's one of those games filled with microtransactions. I've never played the series, but I couldn't get into Diablo IV because I hate enemy level scaling & was hoping this might be different.
It's free to play when the game fully launches! The MTX is purely cosmetic OR related to inventory/stash tabs. I never bought any in PoE1 and I was fine, but I also didn't really hit the endgame hard. Enemy level scaling is sort of a feature of the genre, so I'm not too sure if you're going to enjoy this as much. Like endgame gets progressively harder depending on modifiers you apply to the systems you interact with
Who cares about d4. Poe fans don’t even care if this game even exists. I see people coming to Poe videos talking about d4. Poe fans don’t give a sh1t about d4 we are on another league wake up. Poe 2 just revolutionizes Arpgs 10 bars above the standard arpg to a point it has become a new zone/style of game. I call it true arpg pc game all other arpgs feel like mobile games to me or console games.
@ u sound hilarious. Like ur think ur tough or superior for playing poe… itd all games bud drop ur superiority complex about it im sure this is all you have in life but still try to act like an adult. D4 sucks btw…
I bought Diablo 4 as my first hack n slash top down thing to play with some friends. But that game was very repetitive for me (and at later levels i had bad luck with getting the stuff that i needed for my Bear Druid......did not help either). I heard great things about POE 1, but i am not sure if I want to try POE 2 since Diablo was really not my jam. On the other hand, i do like games where your class is tweakable at the point of that it no longer looks like the starter class you choose. So I go for Mercenary, but it ends up being a straight out monk for example.
I wonder if this is a game you can just jump in as a newbie. I had my eyes on the first game for a while, after Blizzard kept disappointing with the Diablo games. I really like what I've seen from PoE2 so far. I've been told you need a Ph. D in quantum physics to understand PoE's basic mechanics though.. which is why I never gave this game a try.
If you look into what the witch, ( this games necro) she gets pretty crazy in terms of what she can do. Im not a big minion guy but honestly, it makes me want to try it
Poe2 looks good . Unfortunately Nobody pushing it can do so without mentioning d4. Because D4 is the actual king and poe desperately needs to steal that fan base . Most d4 players think poe1 is garbage cus it is . Poe2 better be amazing.
So early access is about a year or so long? The supporter packs like the 480$ one and the reset are these only available for the yr until official release?
@italianspartacus u think they will the same as they are now or modified after official release. Gota somehow convince wife to get me the 480 pack. Lol.
@@italianspartacus that's very cool. If you do it that way does the price get cut for having the pack below the one you have. So for example if buy 100$ pack and eventually want the 480$ pack if do get that later will the price then be 380$ or do still have to pay the full price even if do upgrading packs.
I think its more because of the tweet that came out feom the d4 game director trying to throw shade and now lot of people are just clowning on him and its pretty funny tbh lol
Looking 4ward 2 play that game a lot, 06/12/2024! And looking 4ward 2 play that Mercenary class! Who's with me? Mercenaries, join the fray and bomb up that game! :D
There is not one chance POE2 will have more players than D4. Thats a youtube streamer commenter bubble. 80% of the players from D4 are not looking at anything else anyway. Blizzard is like macdonalds or coca cola. You can make a better burger or soda, people used to their fast food will keep buying the ones they know. Was the same joke with LE killing D4. They sold 20+M copies and they are on gamepass. Blizzard games on console are strong as well. POE2 will never compete. And POE2 will remain intense trading game with shaddy mechanics, this by itself exclude 80% of the potential market. They can keep dreaming but it wont happend.
Diablo is fine. The neckbeards don't realize how many people actually play Diablo because it's a more casual game. There is room for both games like POE and Diablo.
A d4 player here coming to poe2 and not looking back, I have a question, if I add a support gem of poison attack to let's say a firewall skill, then fire some projectiles through that firewall, do those projectiles also get poison dmg to addition of fire?
we dont know how they are doing it for poe2, but at least with poe logic, the firewall would do fire damage and poison damage with chance of proc ignite and poison. BUT, uniques come to play in these type of builds, by example there is a dagger that convert part of fire damage into chaos (poison) and poison chance is equal to ignate chance. My guess, for poe2, is that the proyectiles would get fire damage but the poison gem will only affect the fire wall and not the proyectiles. But, if uniques are to be expected, then there is probably a unique that will allow you to circunvent this issue.
so sick of these bud. they already have our money they could care less. Sure theyd lov to sell you a $40 flippin horse but they already got their money. And you and I both know youll buy the next Expan just to try it out and see how things are. They not in trouble they just going to lose all player count. they are not a live service free to play game that needs constant store purchases to survive.
Uh.. You literally said beta test in your comment lol For those who aren't aware, characters during the beta are exclusive to the beta. Launch will be a fresh start. Once beta ends, all characters will move to a "beta" league, they do not move into standard. If you want to beta the game 6 months before official launch, then you can pay to opt in. Otherwise you can wait for the official launch with the additional classes, specializations and missing acts. Do not misunderstand, this IS a beta, it is not the full game.
its early access, an early access that doesnt have the whole content that is set to come out on the full release, people really trying to be nitpicky here just to end up falling on their faces
Wrong move by d4 is paid dlc. If only it's free add on many will play specially those wjo bought vanilla version. Many will play it on xbox game pass but some hesitated because dlc is not included
I would like this post mutiple times if I could. 🎉
And your MTX rolls over 😭🥹

PoE1 has already been better than D4 for a very long time. Did anyone think D4 had a chance compared to PoE2?
"for its audience." Not everyone can get into PoE 1. PoE 2 looks way more accessible.
Yes. It still makes more money than POE.
@@culguyvegeta who cares money atm? Poe is the better game 👌
GGG was so ahead in the ARPG game so in order to actually have any meaningful competition, they decided to compete against themselves with PoE2.
translation: GGG is such a better game company, they puzzled why they keep making less money than Diablo. So they took a hard look at their own POE1 and decided to make a POE2 that appealed to a wider audience and attempt to get some of that mainstream revnue.
trueeee

Two things for your points.
1) I've been seeing a lot of Diablo 4 weirdos get defensive over PoE2's announcement. Don't be a weirdo.
2) The PoE Community is honestly super excited about an influx of players. Not only because the obvious but because it means a healthier market.

Quick correction/clarification:
Weapon sets don't have completely separate skill trees, but rather only differ by 12 skill points (presumably; assuming the 2 per act we've seen in the showcase).
So if you are a fire + lightning mage you probably want to mostly take general elemental damage nodes, and then specialize your weapon sets with 2-3 dedicated fire and lightning clusters.

PoE2 will only further put Blizzard to shame
trying to describe why PoE 2 is better than Diablo 4 is trying to tell a Karen though a brick wall that shes wrong.

This video should be a prerequisite to playing PoE 2. Lots of important information. Can’t wait to make a “Pet Cemetery of Cholula” build

Diablo 2 Resurrected: Diablo 4 is in TROUBLE
The art/art style , graphics, spell effects, ost , monster/boss design, changes to the systems, skill gems out of gear, in game wiki, better explanations and more , it looks amazing

Iam pretty sure that you can designate skills to a specific weapon, you dont need to manually switch.
My two biggest issues with PoE:
1) The gameplay itself plays like a "bullet hell" game instead of a fantasy rpg.
2) The loot system is designed like a casino.
The support gems tab showing only some recommend skills is a huge W to maintain new players
Yeah I like this too, u don't need optimized setup. This way u just select one and continue playing. We can spend time fiddling with supports in the endgame.
If anyone thinks POE 1 or 2 will kill Diablo 4 you are delusional. It does not target the same audience and D4 has a lot more casual gamers who support it
I'd love to know how this game would scale if I played alongside 2 buddies, and how much the diffculty could keep up with that to remain challenging.
one of the earlier videos showed one character shooting gas nades and the sorcerer using a flame skill to burn it all down. So synergy is very much possible
I'm stupid so I gotta ask, will you receive a discount if you want to upgrade to a higher supporter pack?
As long as you upgrade before they swop out to a new of supporter packs u get 100% credit for buying lower tiers.

Bravo, D4 and Poe 2 can exist just fine the drama is so overhyped for no reason just play what you like
When you started talking in the first few minutes about having to buy in game currency in order to get early access. You should have made it super clear that PoE has never had pay to win transactions. If I hadn’t known about PoE, I would probably immediately assumed how having to buy in game currency in a “free” game. This has to be a crappy pay to win game.
I'll just play Diablo and path of exile like an adult.
D4 will still be around it’s for casual players, when POE 2 hype dies down and D4 players playing POE 2 will realize they don’t have the time to grind they will go back to D4. This does not mean POE 2 is not good, just mean it not for everyone.
Thank you for being honest about your click bait title… I respect it 🫡😂
I love your content. You always make great videos. Thank you so much for the information dump.

I think they both have excellent necromancers tbh. It's entirely possible to get enjoyment out of both.
Look at poe2 witch reveal trailer to see if you like it.
pumped to watch you grind this game out, lots of potential (Frank from chat)
Poe2 looks good . Unfortunately Nobody pushing it can do so without mentioning d4. Because D4 is the actual king and poe desperately needs to steal that fan base . Most d4 players think poe1 is garbage cus it is . Poe2 better be amazing.
What is garbage in PoE1 ?
I'm taking 2 days off for this, servers better not die on me!
Thanks i really appreciate your work.
So early access is about a year or so long? The supporter packs like the 480$ one and the reset are these only available for the yr until official release?
I think they're available after because they still do supporter packs for PoE 1
@italianspartacus u think they will the same as they are now or modified after official release. Gota somehow convince wife to get me the 480 pack. Lol.
You can upgrade it gradually! So just buy one and slowly upgrade it! :)
@@italianspartacus that's very cool. If you do it that way does the price get cut for having the pack below the one you have. So for example if buy 100$ pack and eventually want the 480$ pack if do get that later will the price then be 380$ or do still have to pay the full price even if do upgrading packs.
Yup! You pay the difference I believe!
Poe 2 ea has more content than all diablo games combined
Im beginning to think it's physically impossible for PoE players to not talk about Diablo 4 lol.
I think its more because of the tweet that came out feom the d4 game director trying to throw shade and now lot of people are just clowning on him and its pretty funny tbh lol
Have you thought about revisiting Darktide Sparty? I just went back and it's so much better and flushed out.
Not until they add more classes! :)
D4 already finished its business and you're aaying they're in trouble. What a load of bs. Poe2 won't affect anything no natter how good it is.
D4 was in trouble the day it launched.
Blizzard deserves to fade away.
Me and some friends un- installed
D4 to make room For poe2
That's my message
Can’t wait to start come cutting sounds like a awesome thing
Diablo will never die, it's just some marketing bs. All streamers start bsing that and they come back.
A d4 player here coming to poe2 and not looking back, I have a question, if I add a support gem of poison attack to let's say a firewall skill, then fire some projectiles through that firewall, do those projectiles also get poison dmg to addition of fire?
It doesn't exactly work like that but there's ways to get these kinds of results by mixing the right weapons with the right gems
we dont know how they are doing it for poe2, but at least with poe logic, the firewall would do fire damage and poison damage with chance of proc ignite and poison.
But, if uniques are to be expected, then there is probably a unique that will allow you to circunvent this issue.
you cant be in trouble if you are dead
we dodged a bullet when tencent bought GGG,prolly they play poe1 a lot,and sonny dont play diablo immortal
D4 was in trouble from launch! The game was always unfinished.
so sick of these bud. they already have our money they could care less. Sure theyd lov to sell you a $40 flippin horse but they already got their money. And you and I both know youll buy the next Expan just to try it out and see how things are. They not in trouble they just going to lose all player count. they are not a live service free to play game that needs constant store purchases to survive.
anything D4 puts out will be bugged ...they can't fix the mega bugs they got now
So if i dont pay 30 euros/dollars to beta test i have to wait till spring ........ doesnt sound like free to play to me.
Uh.. You literally said beta test in your comment lol
For those who aren't aware, characters during the beta are exclusive to the beta.
Love your channel.
Appreciate the support!
I really tried playing diablo 4 it was boring the snowy beginning areas are depressing even diablo 3 was fun with it's areas the game was dry
Nah D4 will be fine and I’ll openly and casually grind both games at my leisure 👍
Wrong move by d4 is paid dlc. If only it's free add on many will play specially those wjo bought vanilla version. Many will play it on xbox game pass but some hesitated because dlc is not included
Diablo 4 went from BAD to DEAD... It's that simple.
Diablo 2 was absolutely amazing. It just went down hill. Why change a good thing idk 🤷🏻♂️
Money🤑
>Diablo 4 is in TROUBLE
this is true, but not because POE2 exists, D4 was a shit game to begin with.
That monk gameplay 👌🏼🤌🏼
They are not direct competitors
I think the game that's most gonna be hurt by this is POE the first
Cheers, succinct as always. Thank you.
POE > D3
POE 2 > D4
