QUICK REMINDER flipping your canvas is a really great way of showing what you need to work on! BUT ALSO REMEMBER that a lot of things will look better flipped one way, so if you flip your canvas and everything looks weird or bad, remember that not everything about it needs to be fixed or is a mistake, sometimes the new angle can make a normal or good looking thing look strange! ♡
I’ve been watching Casey since 6th grade I’m well into high school now they helped me learn how to be a better artist and be confident in my art thanks Casey for being the teacher everyone needs
Pro tip: if your doing thick linear that closes (it won't work if the line art is open-ended) select the area outside the thing you are coloring on your linear layer, then invert your selection to color in your subject! This is quick and easy to do, work it out if you have any problems!
This is a great tip but the problem with flipping it using the cursor thing is that you can only flip one layer at a time, not everything on the screen. You can flip the whole canvas by going to the wrench -> canvas -> flip horizontal and then the whole canvas and everything on it will be flipped.
This stems from some internal bias where we see what we think we're drawing until we flip it. Flipping it is like looking at someone else's drawing. The internal bias resets and goes from subjective to objective. Also: only flip it about once every 20 minutes or it'll stop working well.
"Holy shit, two cakes!" This idea has helped me overcome so much anxiety around engaging in my hobbies. Nobody but you cares whether somebody else made something better than you. They care about the fact that now, there are two cakes.
What do you mean “something they don’t tell you”😭 nearly every artist I’ve seen has talked about how you should flip your canvas or made the joke about when you forget to flip the canvas.
I personally suck at doing poses and over designing and rely on the mirror option for any tips that could help me? Also I love your art and videos they're amazing and your personality is amazing and I'm always happy watching your videos
No really because I just got an iPad but I've had to draw on paper for the longest. I flip my drawings upside down to the side, in all different ways because it helps me get the lines the way I like them. It's silly but it works for me 🖤
You can set your lineart layer to “reference” by clicking the layer and a popup should appear with several different settings for it. By doing that, every layer below the set Reference layer will have it as a “boundary”. So using the fill tool on any layer below the Reference layer will only fill in between the lines of it. However, this also will disregard the lines/defined shapes of any layer below the Reference layer, so you need to toggle it on and off.
Nah I always gotta brace myself before flipping it💀
Me drawing the best thing I've ever drawn and then i flip it and it looks ass,I always wanna throw the pc out the window every time
FRFR☠️☠️☠️🤡
i'm too afraid to see my goofy ahhh mistakes
*We* always

¿Y eso qué tiene que ver?
if you're doing art on paper you can also use a light table to flip the sheet and essentially do the same thing
Love the art style 😺

The whole flipping canvas thing I kinda found that out by accident 😂😂 now I constantly do it that it’s apart of my action buttons
Omg, you should make a sticker pack of just really cute things! 🥺❤️

And feel always as you described😂😂😂... But thank you... It will help... I think! 😂
The commentary and that facial expression in the beginning 😂

You can flip the canvas with the wrench > canvas v "Flip horizontal."
I just hate that the flip canvas counts as an "undo/redo action"
I be facepalming and rubbing my face when I’m abouta flip
Same for a sketch pad and mirror
I love your style!! What brush are you using in this video?
Do you have any tips for traditional artists?

It's easier to flip the canvas by going to the wrench and then to canvas to flip all the layers
I’m about to get procreate on my phone and I’m watching vids in people using iPads and their making me jealous with their iPads😭
I thought you were drawing a pregnant character because the title had procreate in it
Nice work!

His name shall be The Galant Sir Gideon, and his noble companion, Bert the Dragonfrogfly.
Which brush are you using for colouring? All the brushes I have tried have that streaky overlap.

So cool!
My art always looks crooked when I flip it and then when I fix and flip it again IT LOOKS MORE CROOKED WTF
Which type of pen did you used for this art?

AHH does anyone have a link to the bg music? I can’t find the exact cover 😢 great video btw Casey!!
Hey. Do you mind telling me what brush you used for the lineart?
Do you know how to color without going over the lines? Love your content`🥰

Traditional artists be like: " am I a joke to you?"

Are there any hard/flat brushes that are not similar to air brushes or have like the weird low opacity thing.
