BLURRYFACE the label probably thought it didn't have commercial appeal enought for the radios. like what!? or lana prefered not to, what I think it's pretty hard, because this song is gold. Anyway,,, we'll never know.
AlanG. It didn’t get a video because Lou Reed was supposed to be in the mv but the day he got to NY to make the video with Lana he unfortunately passed away... so sad
Ultraviolence: greatest masterpiece to ever exist, even better than born to die. Ultraviolence is defiantly a 1000/10. Such a dark beauty. Hopefully there will be a darker album than this in the future.
This album will forever have one of the most special positions in my heart. It's so dark and beautiful. It's sad that most of the people want her to do more of mainstream stuff. She's a gem. Why destroy her vision and authentic creativity? This is one of the most authentic albums along with Born This Way by Lady Gaga out there.
+Lian Ryans I agree. It's because people are so short-sighted and out of touch that they want something that would sell like crazy because they want to pander it to the mainstream and that's something that we know that Lana would never do. LDR is awesome because she won't let anyone tamper her authentic creativity.
Actually this is not the most authentic.... Her producer pushed her to go through the places she's been with this album... She did this because she was forced and that went great. Don't know how to feel about it tho.
OMG couldn't agree more. Ultraviolence and Born This Way are my absolute all-time favourite albums. The darkness and depth of each transports you to THAT dimension, urgh beautiful.
I wish lana made the whole album a visual album and all the MV can be on a VHS Camcorder. This was my favorite album / era but I'm sad she ended this era really quickly.
+Joey Costilla honeymoon is a visual album lol you're right. It tells a story and even the vinyl record and everything the pictures and the melodies everything is romantic, it tells a story.
Imo, Ultraviolence is way better than Born To Die. I'm getting sick of all the hate on Lana because she's not making Born To Die 2.0 and "she's not cool anymore". I feel like I'm gonna love Honeymoon even more.
+Chris Bowers sooooo what do you think of honeymoon? I think it beat born to die but not ultraviolence, never omg I don't think any album will beat ultraviolence
Don't forget Florida Kilos and Gun N Roses. I have this picture of what a Guns And Roses video could be but unfortunately it can't come true since I'm not around Lana/can't contact her and tell her my idea.
I'll just never forget when this dropped. I'll never get tired of this era, this album, this vibe. I feel like a different part of me was born when this dropped and yes that sounds dramatic af but idc. It was so new and raw and exactly what I needed at that time in my life.
It's 2021 and I miss this so much Don't get me wrong, I still love Lana and everything that she does but This album made me feel something that no other piece of music has ever made me feel! I just put that comment here and hope to find others who feel this too
It's so nice to see positive comments on Lana's music for a change. All of her albums are so controversial based on a superficial pop-culture reference. But her music represents a visit to a dark fantasy land where everything that seems so pleasurable is so bad. Her music lets you escape to a world where lust and opulence trump logic and reality. She is truly one of the most exquisite song writers of our generation.
She should have made music videos for every single song on this album, including 'Is This Happiness' and 'Flipside' two of her most underrated songs. This era came and went in the blink of an eye.
Accidentally came across some of my mum's Christmas shopping, could see the ultraviolence vinyl in the hmv bag (meaning she must have purchased a record player too)...IM SO EXCITED FOR CHRISTMAS NOW!!!
*ULTRAVIOLENCE* I love the chord progressions and tempo changes throughout this album, what a beautiful masterpiece made by such a creative, smart and talented artist.
I Think I'll Never forget this album When I listened to it first I Was like "huuuum it's really good" but I wasn't expected to still listening to it in 3 years and here I am. I love this album more years after years and now it s a part of my life.
Pedro Cajeira she didn’t forget... a lot of shit happened in the background.. most of this footage was never used because the label said it had too much drug use. Also, judging by these lyrics alone you can tell she wasn’t in the best mental space at that time in her life. But either way the music is what matters most.
No matter how much I listen to all her songs and her albums and love them of course !! I will not love them as much as this album ultraviolence is my album until I die even if I remain the only one who loves this album in the world
This is the album I would have wished to get music videos from every song. I still hope Lana will release an album which has an music video from every song.
It makes me so sad to think this Ultraviolence era and persona she's created is already over. Ultraviolence is my favorite and I was hoping there would be many more music videos and other promotions like she did with Born to Die and Paradise.
Tin Cole Lana talked about it in an interview, I forget which interview, but she said there was drug use etc in the original video that her label didn't like so it had to be cut out, but she ended up recording a more simpler and surreal video which we got
Ultraviolence is my favorite Lana album! It was a perfect album! The music, lyrics, beat, everything! It brings me so many memories, I forever will love Ultraviolence and Lana!
I totally love this album and I'm so addicted to these songs : West Coast Ultraviolence Old Money Black Beauty Pretty When You Cry Money Power Glory The Other Woman 😊😍
All ive listened to so far is Ultraviolence, West Coast, Shades of Cool, Brooklyn Baby and Sad girl. Cant decide which one I like best (I long purchased the entire album).
While I enjoy Lust for Life and the new direction Lana's world has taken but there is something too monumental, too beautiful that was achieved with Ultraviolence that I think, she will always try to emulate in someway or the other. It feels like an era gone by in a cool, breezy haze.

This is the definition of Summer 2014
MxxnLigght So much memories With this album 💖
2014-15 for me
This is the definition of Summer. Every year.
IKR
MxxnLigght IT IS. Summer 2014 was amazing
People never listen to the lyrics and that's why they think all of her songs are sad.
Right!
Yasss
they're not depressing they're about love
Lilian Barahona depressing is not the same as sad. They are kind of depressing... to some extent (well the atmosphere definitely is.)
How is depressing not the same as sad? Can a song be happy and depressing?
I feel sad because Brooklyn Baby didn't get a music video. I mean, it should be a single for sure.
do you know why it didn't get a video? It's one of my favorite tracks from the album
BLURRYFACE the label probably thought it didn't have commercial appeal enought for the radios. like what!? or lana prefered not to, what I think it's pretty hard, because this song is gold. Anyway,,, we'll never know.
AlanG. It didn’t get a video because Lou Reed was supposed to be in the mv but the day he got to NY to make the video with Lana he unfortunately passed away... so sad
I’m pretty sure the Brooklyn Baby unreleased music video was shown inside this album trailer (0:54 “I’ve got feathers in my hair”)
@@facciodanny8093 I think the same and I guess that some part of Brooklyn Baby is in this video.
Ultraviolence: greatest masterpiece to ever exist, even better than born to die. Ultraviolence is defiantly a 1000/10. Such a dark beauty. Hopefully there will be a darker album than this in the future.
Daisy Babees well there’s no dark albums anymore, and it’s for the best
Well nfr is amazing as expected but I would give anything for another album like ultraviolence
Honeymoon is darker
Ultraviolence is the best album of the life.

The rock sound doesnt suit her
You mentioned two of my favourite albums. Try "To bring you my love" by Pj Harvey and then tell me if you liked. ;-)
Loving the black and white
It amazes me how much songs can bring back so many memories
I feel you. But this album for me... brings back memories I dont want to relive ever.
It's such a throwback to the 60s and 70s
Chris Bowers same D: 2014 was a terrible year with good music
oh yeah.. brings the nostalgic and a lil bit sad feeling
Saya Minatsuki for me , depression...
Is anyone else obsessed with Cruel World?

Obsessed with all yer songs in general :) :)

It's so underrated
I wish lana made the whole album a visual album and all the MV can be on a VHS Camcorder. This was my favorite album / era but I'm sad she ended this era really quickly.
brett talton all the uv videos were the same lol that woulda been hella boring tbh

preach. btd was amazing. ultraviolence was breathtaking and now Honeymoon is gonna be godly. I can't fucking wait.
Born to Die was a great album, especially with the song Ride. However, Ultraviolence was a majestic masterpiece!
+Chris Bowers sooooo what do you think of honeymoon? I think it beat born to die but not ultraviolence, never omg I don't think any album will beat ultraviolence
I think honeymoon was sooo dope, but ultraviolence was a bit better. I just love lana and i love all her music that she puts out.
+Chris Bowers Same Baby💖💖💖
I really hope they make a video for Old Money.
I want it to be a single. It would do really well if they pushed it.
Antonio Rivera I think it's better than west coast, I love west coast but I actually think they're all better than west coast.
Don't forget Florida Kilos and Gun N Roses. I have this picture of what a Guns And Roses video could be but unfortunately it can't come true since I'm not around Lana/can't contact her and tell her my idea.
How about the whole album :)) But Old Money should have a video it's just so beautiful
Rupaul I'm an upcoming singer who would love to work with someone who has great ideas...

I can't believe she still hasn't won a grammy. Lana is the personification of art.
While I enjoy Lust for Life and the new direction Lana's world has taken but there is something too monumental, too beautiful that was achieved with Ultraviolence that I think, she will always try to emulate in someway or the other. It feels like an era gone by in a cool, breezy haze.
