No More Parties in LA might be my favorite Kanye song of all time, his flow is amazing, the Kendrick feature is amazing, the sampling of so many different vocal clips and he stitches them together in a way that works together but still feels sporadic, the BASSLINE, 10/10 song

The Life of Pablo is one of Kanye's best albums In my humble opinion. The reason why I love it so much besides the music is how he branded it and changed it overtime. This might sound weird but I think I am on to something here. The title, "The Life of Pablo" explains the meaning of the whole project. Last minute touches to songs, sporadic changes, Kanye not in the right state of mind, adding new songs, etc. He uses the title as symbolism for this album. This is him, this is "Pablo Picasso" who also did last minute changes to his works. Though the album has its flaws, it still brings a distortion that interests me while the artwork is aesthetically perfect for the vibe of it. I think its amazing.
the Pablo is also a reference to Saint Paul, who in the Spanish Catholicism is known as Pablo "Saint Pablo". Who went blind through a great light and through his faith in God, his vision was restored, hence the record opening up with Ultralight Beam, creating a parallel with the Light Paul saw

if you haven't heard the album, i'd recommend you to at least give those transitions a listen

He is stalling. He said he was going to review Culture II Which has over 20 tracks on it and is getting poor review. The only other top 10 album left to cover now is Black Coffee by Joe Bonamassa and Beth Hart which is a blues rock album and he doesn't cover blues rock albums. Stalling allows him to find another alt rock or hip hop album to cover.

Donda is TLOP 2. People are currently hating on it calling it bloated, inconsistent, half-baked, under-developed and pretty much everything they said about Pablo. So quickly do people forget history. When this dropped it was met with criticisms of Kanye being washed up, of the features saving the song, of it not having focus - hell the song I Love Kanye is about people comparing current Kanye to old Kanye.
And look at it now. Its considered his last great album. A certified classic. I'm just waiting for Donda's moment.

Anthony I love that you are willing to admit that tastes and perceptions change even as a music critic over time, or alterations to the album. I really respect this review because of it. So many times a critic is trying to cement that their first review or impression is the end-all-be-all of accuracy, but often times a relisten will change a perception, and often they're unwilling to change their views because they're too busy trying to defend themselves.

I think a big part of the "hearing the album for the first time again" was the fact that the press rollout was so huge that when you heard it the first time it was hard to truly appreciate it, so going back 2 years later it cleansed the perception, plus it was mixed better and edited
