Love the forged Welds! Best of the best there. Enjoy the 9's 👍
Thanks! Dipping into the 8's now! 😈
Nice vid, very informative we have the same color Redeye. I haven't got to the point for drag radials but, I will definitely use this as a reference. Thanks
Awesome, appreciate that! Sounds good, let me know if you do! 🤙🏻
Thanks for posting this. I'm considering a drag setup for FasNuf.
Looks pretty nice
Thought you were Canelo Alvarez for a second
They look badass!
Thank you🤙
I know this is a older video but damn, that Redeye looks mean with the beadlocks!
I finally got a WB Redeye in Frostbite color 3 weeks ago.
I was pretty confused on the back spacing but I think I have it figured out now.
I will most likely go with the Weld Laguna wheels on mine.
What back space did you get? How are you liking them?
You have to use metal valve stems if you NHRA race your car with the bead locks. Found this out on my redeye.
Thanks Mark, I didn't know that.
Do i have to modify ANYTHING to make these fit? Spacers, end links, etc
Looks great.
Thank you!
Di you also change the front wheels? I think your 315/50r17 Street R when paired to the the Weld 17inch wheels will comme out to be a bigger diameter than your stock tires. Did you notice a transmission problem? How did you resolve?
Hi Chris. Nice wheels and tires and very helpful vid and good comments/responses. Did you have any issues with speedometer or brake/traction control systems with the larger diameter tire on the rear (29.4 vs 28.4) compared to the stock 305/35R20 fronts? How do the 315's MT's compare to the 305 Nitto's on the street? Thanks
Hey John, I'm sure it goes without saying.. Can't get anything to hook on the street lol. Haven't noticed any issues with the speedo, tac or brakes and I just ran the car last night 9.45 @146.99 with a 1.36 60' in 99% humidity.
As for traction control it does still engage, however when street driving (very rare these days) I put the car in sport mode. Which is the least intrusive setting. Might as well letter' eat💪
@@KelleysGarageOfficial WOW is 9.45 a record? I have not done the power mods you have. Still in the planning phase trying to figure out what I want and what I need to do. Tires and wheels are no brainer. Dif brace and driveshaft for stock power with a wheel and tire is another decision.
I know this video is older but I thought I would give it a try. What valve stem size did you use. .538 or .625?
What did you torture the lugnuts too when you installed them on the car
Cool video 😎
Thank you 🙏🏻
@@KelleysGarageOfficial at what whp are bead locks needed🤔im only at 400whp myself but I can only imagine its around 900whp or more
Great video! What kind of lift is that? Thanks for the video!!
Thanks David! It's a BendPak MD-6XP.
Great video man!!
I just ordered mine. Did the wheels come with tpms sensor? If not, where did u get your sensors? Thanks!
Awesome! They don't come with tpms sensors. I didn't install any on mine because I didn't find it necessary. I always keep my pressures under 32, so the dash light is always on anyway. I swap these out for my factory rears when I drive it on the street. Hope the video helps your installation! 🤙🏻
Good job of Breaking it down
Thanks man, glad it could help!🤙
Hi Chris...Happy New Year. Did you ever consider going w/ a 15" wheel? Are there any Widebody Redeyes down there running a 15" beadlock? I know you have to change the end links but wondering if you also have to cut up the plastic wheel well and flatten the body fold line behind it.
Hey man my bad just now seeing your comment. As you've seen there's a lot that's been happening during the new year lol. You are correct about the use of shortened end links with the 15's. I have not heard of anyone needing to cut, trim or hammer in the inner wells. I know the narrow body cars need some of those adjustments, not so much for us wide body guys.
@@KelleysGarageOfficial Thanks looking forward to you new mods
The set-up looks badass dude. Is the 17x11 specs specifically for the widebody hellcats? I have the chance to get a set of 17x11 S71s wrapped in 305/45 for a steal. Im not sure if they'll fit my non wide body though. They're coming off of a redeye
Sorry, just seeing this comment. You'll need to find out the back spacing for the wheels. The backspacing on mine are 5.8.
Hey Chris. No rubbing or anything? Im being told I have to bang out my wheel well or run spacers in rear for 315 50 17 for my widebody. Hmmm
Hey man, just now seeing your comment. You will NOT need to use spacers or make any adjustments to the wheel well. That is in reference to the Weld Wheels. As for other manufacturers, I can't speak on that as I have no experience with other wheel types for this platform.
Great video my friend! Do these rims accept the conical style lug nuts ?
Thanks! Yes, they do.
so no need for balancing them?
Chris I have the same red eye as you and want to buy the beadlock wheels as well. What are the specs for the wheels? Need offsets specs for front and rear bro, thx! Your car is a beast! Keep up the dope videos!
The beadlocks are 17"x11 S70 with 5.8 backspacing. The fronts are 18"x5 S70 with 1.6 backspacing.
Thanks man! 🤙🏻
hey Chris...what do you use to clean the tire/track rubber off the paint and wheel well? Thanks
A lot of the time I hit it with a pressure washer, soap and water. If absolutely needed I'll use kerosene, it's a bit messy but it definitely works💪
@@KelleysGarageOfficial Thanks Chris...I didn't think the pressure washer was going to do much but I'll try it tomorrow. Definitely have used kero before to clean parts.
I have a standard hellcat (non widebody) can I fit these wheels without any fitment issues? I’m looking to install some 17x11 wheels in the rear.
I'm not 100% on the standard body. There are a lot of people that run this setup but in order to do so you'll have to hammer in the inner fender.
Im sure you get this question quite often-here it is again haha: At what HP/TQ level would i really need to run Beadlock wheels on my FBO narrowbody Hellcat Charger????? im currently at 785hp756tq. thanks in advance
I would recommend running a beadlock at around 900+ whp. You'll need to install supporting mods in the rear end if you plan to run beadlocks, lockouts, axles, AAD arms etc..
What’s the specs on the wheels like back spacing? They look awesome. What spec would you also recommend for the fronts?
Thanks man, it took a long time to get the car where I want it! The wheels are 17x11 with 5.8 back spacing. For the fronts it all depends on what size you want to go with. I see a lot of guys run 20x8's. That's probably what I'll end up getting down the road.
Chris Kelley do you plan to lower it on springs would this setup work with lowering springs?
Yes, it's already lowered. I installed KW adjustable lowering springs on mine. There's a video on it, too! 👉🏻 ua-cam.com/video/8Tsd1U__WUg/v-deo.html
@@KelleysGarageOfficial quick question, did u need to replace your sway bar endlinks
Nosirr no changes needed for the wide body's.
Sorry if I over looked it, but what size are the rear tires? 305/45/17??
They look great on the car btw!
315/50/17
Great job did you build your rear end for those kind of wheels?
The diff is stock 3.09 gears with a DIRS diff brace and that's all. Knock on wood, we haven't had issues with anything yet and we just ran a 9.45 @146.99 last night😎
@@KelleysGarageOfficial wow that’s really promising gotta get that going for my Redeye then thank you! Great numbers by the way congrats!
Thanks man! The Redeye is definitely a great platform!@@KOFilms797
@@KelleysGarageOfficial Jesus thats fast....
Did the bead lock require any modifications to fit properly?
Nosirr. The wide body doesn't require any modifications to fit the 315. Just make sure to get the correct backspacing when ordering the wheels.
Will this wheel size and tire 315 fit a scatpack widebody without doing anything
Did it come factory with 305s? If so, it should fit no problem.
Those look extremely nice! Are those S70 wheels and did you have to replace the sway bar end links? Sorry for the 20 questions. I'm wanting to do this as well on my Redeye.
Yes, they are 17x11 S70s! No changes are needed to fit the Redeye. Everything was included in the video, so it was really easy. No worries, happy to answer any questions you have.
@@KelleysGarageOfficial Much appreciated. Am enjoying the videos so appreciate you putting them out there.
What are the pecs on the wheels size offset ext
17x11 5.8 backspacing
Hi Chris haven't seen anything in a while hope everything is OK. Was these wheels 10 or 11 inch wide?
Hey hey! Haven't made any videos lately.. Might start working on one this weekend.
The spec on my beadlocks are 17x11 5.8 backspacing
@@KelleysGarageOfficial thanks..I guess you didn't have to make any changes to the inner fender well for clearance w/ the 315/50R17. The 17x10 with a 6.7 backspace should have 0.9" less clearance. Do you think it will rub? (can you slide your hand around the tire without hitting the wheel well at the inner brace 9 o'clock on the driver side)?
The wide body doesn't need any customizing with the wheel spec I mentioned previously. I don't know how the 17x10 fit. Maybe try reaching out to Weld, Tim will take great care of you. @@jcasey460
@@KelleysGarageOfficial thanks
Is there a certain socket you have to use on the bolts i noticed the bolts themselves have a lot of grooves on them
Do you mean the black and polished lug nuts? From the video you can see we ended up not using them due to Jegs sending the wrong size. I want to say the socket needed is a 12 point 3/4.
@@KelleysGarageOfficial thank you very much!!! i got my beads and i been following the video but noticed none of my sockets can fit the bolts definitely going to get some in the morning
All good man, glad the video helped! I may have misunderstood you.. Are you talking about the lug nuts or the bolts that go on the beadlock? @@Mr.Extraextraordinaire
@@KelleysGarageOfficial the bolts that are used to secure the ring onto the wheel itself
My bad man it's a 12pt 5/16@@Mr.Extraextraordinaire
Can I use these on reg body? Or no because I see you have widebody
I'm sure you could. They would just stick out of the wheel well... A lot!
What was the offset on these wheels? Did you need to do any sort of modifications ?
17x11 with 5.8 backspacing. No modifications were needed for fitment.
@@KelleysGarageOfficial I ordered some 17x10s 0+ offset with 5.5 backspacing and I’m hoping it clears
🤞🏻
Thanks for the video....Ive also got a Redeye like yours and Im following your build.. Could you include links?
Sure! Any specific links you're looking for?
You may have already answered this but do you have the link to the wheel and tires? More questions to come thanks for your time...✌️

You said lugs are 14mm x 1.5 , why won't stock lugs fit then ?? Looking for lug info please
You need a thin lug nut. Stock won't work
@Kelley's Garage thank you , do you know what's the best nut to use ?
Go to O'Reilly autoparts and pick up a set
What valve stems did u go with ?
Stayed with the same valve stems that came with the wheels.
wheel size? did u go 17x11? what backspacing? thank you
They are 17x11 with a 5.8 backspacing. No problem!
Thanks for watching, and please share if you found our video helpful!
@@KelleysGarageOfficial nice thanks for the info! Ordering a set of welds for my redeye. Do you know the difference between the 5.8 backspacing and the 6.2? Also did you have to modify anything to get them to fix? Thanks!!!
@@KelleysGarageOfficial😊
What was the offset, bs and width of your wheels?
The beadlocks in this video are 17"x11 Weld S70 with 5.8 backspacing. And the fronts I got to match this set were 18"x5 S70 with 1.6 backspacing.
I have since sold both and just switched to a 15" S70 beadlock with 18" Full Throttle front-runners. 🤙🏻
@@KelleysGarageOfficial That's bad ass bro. Keep up the good work
What’s the information of the wheels how can I order them?
These wheels are no longer available. You'll have to find a private seller if you like this style.
My track wont let you run rubber valve stems. They must be metal. I tried to do everything on the cheap and ended up having to take them back for metal valve stems. Check your local track rules.
Thank you for the heads up. My local tracks have never said anything to me. Guess I'm one of the "lucky" ones.
Did you have to balance them ?
He said he did end up balancing them.
