- In today's video we cover the southern districts of the Raleigh area including ITB, East Raleigh, & South Raleigh. I'll tell you which areas are more rural, where you can find larger lots, where you can find walkable homes and the best features and amenities of each area. In part 2, I will cover the areas to the North and West of the city to give you a good idea of which locations might fit your needs best.

Another great video, Ellen and kudos to that frappucino-sipping editor of yours.
Haha, thank you!! And I think he was eating a snow cone! 😅
This is SO great thank you!!!!
So glad it was helpful! I’m glad to chat if you have any questions! epitts@harmonyrealtync.com
Glenwood South and The Warehouse District are downtown. They are literally named districts of downtown proper as defined by the city. In those cases, it isn't a fuzzy boundary.
The city has many defined areas that don’t necessarily represent the way everyone defines things. They say Costco is in north hills. I think that’s a huge stretch. I’m not trying to be an authority on the official city definitions. I’m just trying to introduce newcomers to different parts of the city and what kinds of things exist there. 😁
Hey Ellen,
Great video and information,
I need a suggestion from you, as I am moving from Florida to Cary NC.
I have a 5 years old kid, so please suggest to me where might have to take a chance to rent a house.
Feel free to email me! I’m actually getting ready to rent my house. Maybe it will work for you? Ellen.pitts@hunterrowe.com
465,000.00 for a nice home in an ok area of Raleigh is very cheap. I just moved from Seminary Hills area of Alexandria Virginia and a home like this is at least double that and the property taxes leave you broke!
Please, do Durham
It's on my list!
What area would be ideal for custom homes ?
You’re most likely to get a completely custom home on a tear down lot inside the Beltline. Other good places to look are falls lake area and chapel hill or durham. Actually durham and chapel hill seem to have really unique and interesting custom homes.
@@EllenPitts Hi, Elena. Additional question from Seoul, Korea! What about Jordan Lake for a custom home?
Yes, absolutely!! Jordan lake is a beautiful area with many neighborhoods that have large estate lots. You might see addresses that are considered Apex, Pittsboro or Chapel Hill all in the Jordan lake area.
@@EllenPitts Thank you so much!!
