This is a great list. Context on the farmers market (cuz I was used to ones that only occurred once a week), they have a state farmers market in SW Raleigh that's open every day, with several different sections/buildings (there are also weekly ones on Saturday all over the triangle). For shopping, I would add Southpoint because it had that indoor outdoor combo and feels very contemporary. For dessert (ice cream), I would add the Howling Cow for having local dairy and a great view with rocking chairs. Bonus, there's a great shady hike nearby at Yates Mills Park!
Looking to relocate from Florida to the Raleigh area for a new job, is there any areas you would recommend to stay away from. Does Raleigh have a bad area?
Bad may mean something different to everyone but my guess is that with the rapid growth and infrastructure projects, I would imagine the reputation of several neighborhoods will change over the next decade, so it's kind of hard to say!
I completely agree, there's no doubt areas will rise and fall in popularity but I would say there will be more on the rise than fall over the next 10-15 years with all the development going on.
