3:39 Xanthorrhoea preissii
44:27 Chamaerops humilis cerifera
44:40 Schefflera delavayi
Wow! A very happy man in his tropical paradise ❤
I was looking forward to seeing this vid as soon as I saw who you were visiting, great tour Kris and I really enjoyed seeing Kevin’s incredible plant collection and beautiful garden. There’s too many stunners in there to choose a favourite! 😃
It's a great garden created by a true plantsman. I couldn't believe how lucky we got with the weather as it was torrential rain just a few miles away.
This is the third time I've watched this video, each time I discover something new. What an excellent tropical garden, with lawn! I struggle to grow Nolina I've managed to kill 3 in the last 4 years, what's the secret?
Great, thanks for sharing
Stunning. Thanks kris for sharing this beautiful garden 🎉
You're very welcome
Lovely garden, love to see plenty of plants that have been going a while, there where multiple my (rather unexperienced) eyes had not seen at such size before 😄 Great atmosphere from the background music. The way you talk already has a calming effect on me, he music accompanies it well. Thank you for another great tour!
Glad you enjoyed it plus the addition of the music. Hopefully calming and interesting
Great video, genuinely nice bloke 👍🏻
He is indeed
Really good video. But I wonder why you need the music - I think it is very intrusive - what’s the point of it. Just my point of view I suppose.
I've also had the opposite comment saying the music's relaxing so it's personal preference really
@@YorkshireKRIS Yes it is. It wouldn’t do for us all to be the same🙂
Really interesting to see a garden that has a long time develop. Really enjoyed this video.
Glad you enjoyed it
Amazing he can grow these outside in UK
Juania 👀👀👀
Love the natural look of the tree ferns .what an amazing garden.
Brilliant video,Kris, and great to see both Kev and his garden. Really impressive garden - that jubaea!!
The Jubaea is incredible, but so is the rest of the garden.
Thanks for sharing Kris and Kev brilliant
Glad you enjoyed it
Some years ego i was see pictures after a hard frozedemaed year, this garden come back again, this is wonderfull👏
Very nice cerifera and jubaea😮❤
Yes it's recovered so well
Wow, what a lovely man and garden. Kev really started to shine when he got to his fernery. I cant wait for part 2. cheers.
Glad you enjoyed it. Yes Kev likes a huge range of plants with ferns being a current favourite. There's no video part 2 planned at the moment though
Inspirational, totally inspirational
Just loved the tour. Thanks so much Kevin and Kris. So much to see. A palm lover's paradise. Beautiful brahea. The Juania was the icing on the cake. Just superbly put together from an understated guy who clearly loves his plants. Does he ever open his garden for the RGS scheme. If so I'd be over there like a shot to see it. Brilliant 👏👏
Kevin doesn't open his garden to the public but hope this video tour gives you a good idea of what it's like. It's a treasure trove of plants.
Wow Kris, this video was amazing! Gorgeous plants, lovely music, and a passionate gardener(s)
Wow just wow!
What an impressive collection !. Haven´t seen so many rare plantspecies in a garden. And in big sizes! Greetings from Denmark. Growing exotic plants here is really a challenge !
Thank you for watching
Can you possibly re upload without the music the vocals clash with interesting gardening chat ?
It's always a compromise. Some people prefer it with music. I added music on the lowest setting as it was very quiet between the speaking parts. I'll see what I can do
Lost for words here...Absolutely spectacular Kevin! I was suprised by martianus, latisectus and som eother stuff, but absolutely stunned by the Juania! have ever tried Livistona (i have 4 species here of it surviving pretty well in 8a with some help)?
Greetz from an NL exotics nut in 8a . Cheers Kris for filming this beautyful garden!
There's a huge range of palms in Kevin's garden but no Livistona. I'm sure Kevin will have tried them in the past but I'll ask.
kev is a diamond, always remember him as the plant collecter. nice to see him again
Agree, Kevin's one of the originals
Wow
Great plants, the jubaea is awesome, incredible growth from 2010 freeze. The grass tree is one of the best in the UK.
Ive found my fibrosa hardier this winter than the antarctica. Great different areas in the garden.
We loved watching. It was like an extended section of Gardeners World and we finally got a full tour of Kev and Jackies garden. We also spotted the Ford Asbo.
Great video. Prefer without music and appreciate plant names. I recognise Kev Spence from the growing on the edge forum and more recently his own UA-cam channel.
Some amazing plants and super size palm's...very envious 😊
PURE EXCELLENCE IN TROPICAL GARDENING NEARLY AS GOOD AS YOU KRIS AND GEORGE,S JUNGLE WOW
Top Garden 👌👌👌👌
It really is
What an interesting garden. And a very modest gardener thanks again
His garden is gorgeous! The Jebea is amazing.
Would you be able to put the names on the screen please?
I have done exactly this in the video that was published next. Its this video again but with all the names

What an amazing collection and an inspiration
WOW! I wasn't expecting a Juania.
Some fabulous specimens!
Do Brahea vary like Trachycarpus? Maybe one had worse genes.
I think so yes as they're so close together and the larger one died
great garden!
Hi Kris and Kevin. I saw Dizygotheca+Elegantissima+False+Aralia has been planted in the garden. I have one in container and would like to live in outside during the winter. Will she survive?! Many thanks Irena
Well last winter they had -8⁰c if that helps?
Yes it does, going to risk and leave it out 😊
I was interested that Kev grows his ferns in eracacea soil. Is that a thing? 😮
Yes, acidic compost
Question! I spot a Thaumatophyllum Bipinnatifidum at around 40:45, does that stay outside? I heard it can take some frost, asked 2 fellow UK tropical plant fanatics about that recently but they both didn't have experience with the plant outside
Well spotted. It was in a pot. They cope OK with the odd frost when they have an overhead canopy but really are houseplants over winter
Thanks, I'll save that one for when I have a bigger space to move plants to in the winter then:)
What was the name of the last palmtree looked at? I caught Australis, but couldn't pick out the first name?
Juania
@@YorkshireKRIS Thanks for that. I've never heard of it. I see it originates from the same place as one of my all time favourite plants. Dendroseris litoralis. 🙂
Unfortunately according to NOA we are going to have a very wet and windy autumn and a very cold winter with lots of snow and ice 😮😢
I hope not
They say they can only confidently predict four days of weather! I cant see how they can predict *very cold winters*!
Thanks to you both. Absolutely Loved the tour of this garden rich in fascinating foliage. Well done!
great video Kris , I'm amazed what he's growing there . I used to go to Loughborough to dog training classes, i know how cold it can get in winter. What a fantastic selection of plants. Thanks for sharing your Garden with us all Kevin . A couple more palms i may try in my garden after watching this.
I think he probably has one of the most species rich palm gardens in the Midlands
Too bad this same video with the names of the plants has disappeared! 😞
Has it,

Kris I loved this but agree about the background music. What would be more helpful for newbies like us is subtitling the names of the plants as they are discussed. Thanks.
I've done a new version with no music and all the plant names now.
@@YorkshireKRIS thanks very much 😃
@@georgescholey8978 it's the latest video on my channel
@@YorkshireKRISthanks I’ve just found the new version. 😊
