- I started UA-cam over 6 years ago with the dream that one day it would allow me to buy my dream car. Well this week I bought my dream car thanks to UA-cam and I can't wait to share it with you.

Why did you buy it from Harbour Cars? I only ever use main Porsche dealers. The cars they sell are as good as you can get. Other dealers dont give a toss, you cant best a full 2 year Porsche warrenty. The bald guy just looked like he wanted rid of you. Plus stop trying to sell all these shitty little companies for finance and insurance. They are more expensive, lack the resource of the main players and fold up when you need them. It stinks of desperation when you do this.

For that kind of money I would have bought a mint, low mileage Fiat Multipla but congratulations nonetheless.

Absolutely amazing to watch this together with your smile. You've always been and always are a true honest, kind & caring man who has always strived to bring entertaining content to your channel. When I look back the true dedication and the way in which you've presented your content to your audience week in week out, month after month and year on year. Holding that key to your Porsche is an absolute testimant to all of your hard work and dedication to the Channel..I know that watching your dog walk chats to camera that its not always easy to bring the content which pleases everyone all of the time, but you've never been knocked back, and even when you have, you've got back up and just strived to bring us your subscribers with the ultimate of motoring content. Wow fantastic Pete I was sad to watch your video on Charlie Clubman RIP I always enjoyed seeing him in Waitrose car park and at West Wittering beach. Great choice however I did fall in love with the Cayman GT4 especially in crayon a fantastic colour . One overtook us on the way back from Petersfield on the Friday before the Goodwood 79th members meeting . I saw it on the Saturday parked up in front of the Bonhams auction what a beautiful beast . Can’t wait to see lady Penelope driving around and watching more of your great content . Good luck and have fun.

I do have a question (if this is how I ask) I had many Porsches before, classic and new including a boxster.
I am thinking of buying a Boxster Spyder or a Morgan plus four or six (still trying to decide which Morgan is best). After watching your videos, which would you recommend?

Firstly thanks for watching and for the comment. Both great cars. A Morgan is certainly an occasion car and great for a Sunday blast. The Spyder will give you that and a whole bunch more in my view. That’s where my money would go.

Looks very nice. But having owned a Subaru Impreza Turbo and a 6 cyl Boxster S, I would have gone with an older flat 6 GTS. The sound is incomparable. Had to sell both my flat engines and now have a Clubman JCW. Doesn’t handle as well, but the wife is happier.
I figured it was going to be a Porsche after the last video. Congratulations, you absolutely deserve one, you work tirelessly to deliver the content. Amazing car, I am very jealous. Looking forward to the content. Get some mudflaps on it!😀

Great car - I recently purchased a 981 3.4 pdk silver with black interior boxster. Also named “penny” to the family. Did look at a 718 but couldn’t get past the engine tone on the s. Wishing you enjoyable driving !
A fantastic journey ahead and hopefully have a lot of dry days so the hood can be down and ear that engine purr. My only concern as an ex traffic cop is your number plate and the changes from 2022. There should be a 33mm gap between the number 4 and the letter X and the three letters (XPG) should be grouped with 11 mm gaps between the XP and PG. The ANPR cameras (police, static and mobile cameras) are being upgraded across the UK to test more fully the compliance of number plates e.g. supplier details, font type etc etc and as you will be aware it is an automatic fine of up to £1k and have noted that some new insurance policies are specifying specifically that the number plates meet the new standards. Just worth a heads up check.

Yeah, as soon as it ws revealed the plate stood out a mile as being illegally spaced. Not sure why, but seeing that always grinds my gears! By the sounds of it, with the new regs, it could be a thing of the past soon.
I noticed this issue on the previous video of the damaged Mini. Was surprised to see this from a motoring ‘guru’ and advanced motoring ambassador, and that it has been carried over to the new car. Rather blows Pete’s credibility somewhat.
Quite frankly this campaign against number plates is all complete and utter nonsense !! I got stopped years ago to be told about How ANPR cameras can’t read plates with incorrect spacing !! Really, well my local recycling centre had a camera that could read it no problem !!
Far more concern should be placed on dangerous driving, uninsured drivers and driving under the influence of drink & drugs, I’ve been driving for 40 years and I despair at driving standards these days !! This is easy numbers for the police and let’s be honest does not impact road safety in a way as the things I’ve already mentioned do.
I thought you can only have country flags as emblems as well, so the PED sticker is a no no ??
Beautiful car. I gad a Boxster but quickly found I really just needed a 911 4s or something close and ended up with 997.1tt cabriolet. I absolutely love my porsche and Dailey drive it

Love your channel and you know a couple of my friends so being a good follower....careful promoting businesses that sell plates with illegal spacing for cars that are used on the road! Police are very wise to this now and you could get the plate revoked!

Congratulations on getting your Porsche especially after the heart break of losing the Mini - fair play to you too for advertising the fact you're going to be breaking the law with an illegally spaced registration plate - tell us when you first get pulled and fined!!

Love the channel but you are obviously not aware of the new clamp down on illegal number plates. Even a simple thing like putting the spacing between the letters in the wrong place will now cost you heavily in points on your licence and a fine. Not a good example to set for your viewers let alone broadcast it to the world.

Lovely car. I hope you really enjoy it after poor old Charlie had its mishap. Two flies in the ointment for me is a sports Porsche should really have a flat 6 and a manual box. The dual clutch is great for track and daily use but on the road for fun driving the manual is so much more involving.
Shame you couldn't afford a decent index plate instead of buggering about with a bulk standard one 👎
Lots of questions: Where do the pups go? Are you selling the Roadster? Is this the car Tracy will drive to work (if so you go girl!)? What was the cost of the covering? Is it a type of vinyl that can be replaced if needed? How many miles were on the car and I most likely missed the year too. I can figure out the cost by looking at like models, but one thing I always appreciated was that you were frank about how much things cost when you were modifying your Minis and hope you continue to do so. And lastly congratulations, your joy was as apparent as your disappointment about the damage to Charlie Clubman.
Pete definitively applied some proper man-logic to justify this, best not to ask about the why an how ;-)

Ped I’m really pleased for you but I’m also a little concerned. One of the reasons I love your channel is your a normal person with a normal car. Your moving away from that towards the same as other you tubers with cars more expensive that the normal person can afford. I hope you will still be doing things with Ruby. Cause it would be a shame if you just became another you tuber who is part of the look at my expensive car club

Always great to see someone who is able to get their 'special' car, and genuinely appreciates both the car and how fortunate they are to be able to own it. Whilst I am no Porsche fan, your particular car in that colour combination looks particularly stunning!
I am looking to take delivery of my new car, I am reliably informed by the manufacturer in June, and am planning on PPF. There are many different detailers offering this service, but if you are particularly 'fussy', it's always difficult to know who to choose that will do a decent job, so I will be sure to give the people you mention a call..

I have been watching all your porsche videos because I've been seriously considering a boxster/cayman and have gone from wanting a 981 boxster s to a 981 cayman s but recently thinking a 718 cayman s.
The thing that is really bugging me those is how many owners they have in a very short time. If they are that good as everyone says how comes nobody ever keeps them ???

Soo much love for those and the Cayman. We sadly just had to sell our beloved 718 Cayman GTS in Lava Orange as we’re moving back to Canada from Dubai and can’t take it with us. The 2.5 turbo is a great engine and people who poopoo it because of the sound, well that’s their loss. Loads of low end torque from 3000 rpm up. Looking forward to us getting another in the coming year or two

I am still torn as it's a big outlay & I love the TTRS & don't want to regret it.

I really don't want to spoil your enjoyment of such a fantastic car. Iam genuinly delighted for you, however, I believe your number plate is illegal on that you haven't spaced the digits in accordance with legal requirements. I may be wrong, however I have received a fixed penalty for a similar contravention.
