This is why his fans love him so much and why they are so protective of him. It's not just about his voice. He is genuinely one of the nicest people you could find. He cares so much about the world and the people in it. He gives so much of himself and is so hard-working. He's warm, funny, generous to a fault but is constantly working to improve himself and always believed he can do better. If you ever get the chance, watch one of his rare interviews, he's extremely intelligent and well read but if he's forced to watch a recording of his performances you will see him watch intently often frowning when he hears a mistake or something that he didn't like about the performance. He's a complete musical genius but there are loads of funny videos of him because he has such a boyish sense of humour.

Nice reaction 👍 Dimash likes to swim and hold his breath underwater to increase his lung capacity. A clean living lifestyle, dedication, practice practice practice, allows him to extend notes and complicated runs without taking a breath in between. He takes his craft very seriously.

Yes. One breath & all those complex runs whilst maintaining that power - that volume... Incredible. And... I keep watching to see him take a big desperate gasp of air at the end - before he moves straight into that final passage - and of course - he doesn't ! { WE DO! For him! } A smooth barely there 'sip' & he's off again. That's mega-training. MEGA! Olympic star level synchronised swimming lung capacity. Wow. And a genuinely decent guy as well. Apparently he sends all the flowers to both Children's Hospitals & Aged Care Facilities.
He's a great role model for how to carry the burden of fame without a shred of ego. I hope he can continue to do so. I suspect he can. He was raised right by both his parents and grandparents. Recognition is one thing ( that all artists crave). Fame & Celebrity is quite another. The latter can be an overwhelming & intrusive burden - that we have seen far too many rising stars stumble under the weight of.
I worry when some of his fans go off into the stratosphere in 'transports of self massaged ecstasy' & waffle on about 'perfection'. Nobody in the whole wide world is perfect. I'm sure Dimash is not, & that's also a heavy weight of expectation to lay on anyone.
That's why I found it so heartwarming last week to watch a clip of an interview with his Mum where she complained about him!
Well, not complained - but worries for him - which is of course 'the job' of ALL Mum's!
She said he's often absent minded & disorganised - being 'away in his head' creating music a lot. That sometimes he has to be reminded to eat - to sleep. Sometimes he's turned up to the airport leaving his clothes - his baggage back at the hotel. Sometimes he 'loses time' & even misses his plane! Love that. That's MY kind of 'perfectly fallible perfection' ! It is also the price every truly great Artist pays in their pursuit of continuous improvement & excellence in their chosen craft.
At the same time it's important that us - his audience - don't box him in with burdensome unrealistic expectations or demands. Dimash is a young man still exploring and evolving both personally & professionally. It's vital that he be given the space & also gives himself permission to do that - including opportunities to fail - to make mistakes. To sometimes 'mess up'. After all; those are critical learning opportunities & gateways to new directions. Exciting to see which directions Dimash's career will go. 😊

Giving flowers to display appreciation is traditional in most Eurasian countries and is a custom adopted globally by his fans. At solo concerts Russia they still allow small groups throughout the concert as not to disrupt the flow. In the West it is sadly a different story

in this song he is singing in Russian. Not really his native tongue but commonly spoken among his people. the sound he makes before he goes off and a middle eastern singing technique. I believe they call it trilling. You hear it in Muslim call to prayer but not contemporary entertainment. I love the sound.

Those were his fans (Dears) with the signs. The man standing at the end in the white shirt was renowned Russian composer Igor Krutoy. He came out of semi-retirement to work with Dimash after this performance. He and Igor make an incredible team, and have developed a warm, father/son like friendship.
I'm glad you let the end play out, so you could see what a humble, grateful, and respectful gentleman he is. He's such a spectacular human being, and so sweet and patient with his Dears. 🥰 And he can never carry all of his flowers...lol. He needs to start bringing a wheelbarrow with him everywhere he goes. 😁

Dimash’s talent is mind blowing 🤯 A'Studio was invited by Igor Krutoy to participate (individual concert) in the 2018 edition of the New Wave festival. Igor Krutoy, the man in white shirt giving his standing ovation, invited Dimash to participate in this festival in the same year. This is how Sinful Passion was performed, exactly in the 20th anniversary of this song. It speaks of greater love, greater loss, greater despair, greater desire, greater passion. The loss or lack of this love, in Dimash's interpretation, has the dimension of a loss of life, which one is very anxious to restore. In place of the original purely pop instrumental part (inserts), Dimash included (after the last chorus) his vocalise, a stylized onomatopoeic (like a lament) eastern ornament and the words "дай мне, дай" (give me, give) with a 23-second melismatic on the last syllable, which is not a simple substitute for a pop musical theme, but an extension of the story sung earlier in words.

Hello, those people werent his family, they were Dears, as Dimash calls us, his fans. He sang in russian in this case. He speaks kazakh, russian, English and also he had to take mandarín lessons the time he lived in China. He has a lot of songs in mandarín in his repertoire and a chinese reactor told that his pronunciation was perfect as he were native. He had sing in 12 languages until now. At first when he sang in English his pronunciation was not very good but he has improved very much. The standing man in white shirt is Igor Krutoy, famous russian composer, who has composed many songs specially for Dimash's voice.

His performances wit audiences are much more emotional. I am a die hard Dimash fan. I find his newest videos more visually and technical perfect but lacking some of the emotions I'm used to seeing.

Music by Baigali Serkebayev, and the words to this song were written by the famous contemporary Russian poet Ilya Resnick, author of many Russian music hits The first performer of this song was a singer from Kazakhstan Batyrkhan Shukenov (he died in 2015). He didn't imitate the first performer. Dimash used all his phenomenal abilities and made a completely different interpretation of this song. I can't remember a single song where the singer changed 5 voices (from baritone to soprano) and 4 octaves in one song. And Dimash did it easily. At the end of the song, Dimash sang vocals for 22 seconds in one breath. Dimash tells a great story and draws us into it. Many viewers cry, others have chills. And all together they sit like under hypnosis.

For those who like information about Dimas' songs: The story behind this song is very interesting: The band that accompanies Dimash is the same one that composed the song, without the singer who died after a heart attack! The band is also from Kazakhstan and this performance by Dimash revitalized the song. In addition, the final part he added, with an oriental technique. The bald headed guy in the white shirt who was standing at the end of the performance is the billionaire composer Igor Krutoy. He came out of retirement to help two particular musicians; Dimash, and also Diana Ankudinova. In the videos of Diana's early performances on "You Are Super," a Russian talent show for young singers who have been without parental care, Krutoy can be seen on the judges panel.
After this performance by Dimash, Krutoy began working with him, writing new songs for Dimash, and in some cases re-writing/arranging existing songs which he had written in the past for singers such as Lara Fabian.
The combination of Dimash and Igor Krutoy has led to some of the greatest musical performances in decades. I can recommend "Love of Tired Swans", "Love is Like a Dream", "Your Love", and "Olimpico".
