I was also embarrassed that I just discovered Dimash 3 weeks ago by accidentally clicking one of his videos. I was as stunned, speechless, can’t comprehend of what’s going on, what I’m hearing, is he real etc. I’ts so hard to catch up with Dimash as he can sing one song but delivers it im so many ways that it’s like a whole new song.

For those who like information about Dimas' songs: The story behind this song is very interesting: The band that accompanies Dimash is the same one that composed the song, without the singer who died after a heart attack! The band is also from Kazakhstan and this performance by Dimash revitalized the song. In addition, the final part he added, with an oriental technique. The song was originally performed in 1998 and the band's name is A'Studio (Russian-based Kazakhstani pop music group, "Alma-Ata Studio", city of Almaty). The dead singer (to whom Dimash was a fan) left the band in 2000 and passed away in 2015 and his name was Batyrkhan Shukenov. The lyrics are by the poet Ilia Reznik together with Baigaly Serkebayev, who is the keyboardist with long hair, which we see in the video accompanying Dimash.

Dimash performs with A Studio quite often, the looks you see on the other musicians aren't shock (anymore, LOL) they are focused completely on Dimash to be as perfectly in time with him, as Dimash is with his own vocals.. In Russia and other countries, they don't stand and applaud as much as the Western world., they don't stand and block the view of those behind them. Instead they politely applaud and Give flowers as you saw there. Ah, you ran the video long enough to see why we Dears love him completely, he is so humble and respectful and not self centered like so many now days

He truly loves his country and while he sings in many languages and I very much appreciate him singing in English his Kazakh music is so emotional. And I’m an era where love of country is often lacking, to watch Dimash cry because of singing a native folk song in front of an audience in NYC brought tears to my eyes
