The foot controllers in the video are from my 3 Kenmores. There may be other models of the foot pedal different from the video. Most from this period can be opened up.

My metal foot controller doesn’t have a screw. The wire goes into the pedal through a rubber grommet.

@@rfgoodman3598 mine is a ‘60s Kenmore, it has a notch and seems to grip over the other three sides of the bottom
How do you fix the older metal foot pedal with a short in it... Multiple pressing to get it to run. Please and thank you
