    The new soap prentice is doing an awesome job! Are you sure she's not going after your job? Just kidding. I know eventually I'll lose my seat, but I'm hoping that crafty 12 year old, science buff granddaughter of mine takes over. At this point she is all up for it, yeah! Ask me 4 years from now when she's 16 and boy crazy, if this still stands? Well see....
    This bubble bar looks way more moldable than most recipes I've seen. A lot of them appear dry ad crumbling. That's what impressed me! I've watched many a soaper, even the Soap Queen struggle with bubble bars. So I've never included them in my line. I might now though, the soap prentice makes it look easy for sure!

    Hitting out of the park again, your soaprentices are so talented and make me a little jealous 😉 I think I’m going to try some scoops this weekend and see if I can make some that look half as great!

    This concoction was one of my very first creations 2 years ago. I called mine bubble bath scoops.
    I don't have a stand mixer so I did knead mine like bread.
    I also had textured counters so I pinched off parts of the dough and put them inside the scoop then pushed the lever to get it put.
    I did my very first ones as Hogwarts house themed colored.

    I had to come back and tell you Thank you again, for sharing your recipes. I deeply appreciate you taking time to make these videos for all of us.
    I've got MS & Fibromyalgia, so making these are SOOO much easier than pressing out bath bombs, even with a manual press machine.
    I had to tweak the recipe a bit for Michigan climate, but this is a fantastic recipe.
    Thank you for helping me to expand my products for my customers. I appreciate you sharing your brainwork 😘💖

    I've always wanted to try and make bubble scoops. Thankyou for the recipe. Is the kaolin clay interchangeable with another clay or perhaps coconut milk powder by chance?

    • @MrsSoapAndClay
      @MrsSoapAndClay  2 роки тому +1

      In this recipe, I would stick with lightweight powders like kaolin Clay or coconut milk, but once you start getting into the denser clays stuff gets weird.

    You are so funny and I just love watching your videos. Thanks so much for sharing the secret, dang it, have tons of different ingredients except the meringue, for heaven sake‘s I’ll have to go buy a bag.
    Question: the baking soda that is on the counter, that she kneading the dough in, is that “extra” baking soda? Or is that part of the recipe?
    Am struggling and struggling with bath bombs, wanna see a grown woman cry?! So just double checking on total quantities. Thank you again so much for your humor.
    And yes, she rocks!
    Happy Thanksgiving! -Momo

    So I've been wondering for awhile. Why do you have a PH test strip color chart on your wall? Also, she makes great bubble bars. I probably should start making these again, but I always make a huge mess lol. Also also, you said our brains hurt because we're learning things, I guess I can look at my migraines in a more positive light :)

    So I have a question, if I have rose kaolin clay could I use that in a third of the mix for the color? And cocoa powder in a third as a replacement for clay for color and then maybe no clay for a third of the mix to get a Neapolitan ice cream look? Or should I just stick with mica? Thanks for your videos!

    I'm bingewatching your videos since a few weeks, nonetheless i am more the kind of "silent watcher". But i have a question, i wanted to make your bubble bars, but i have a very hard time to understand the recipe, although i watched it over and over again..... Not the ingredients itselfs, but the quantitys 😔. Is there any chance that you would give the recipe in written Form for your non-english followers (or just me, maybe i am the only one that doesnt fully understand it 😅)

    Any problems with these growing mold all over them after 2 days?
    😲😢
    I just had to throw out 2 double batches from 2 days ago because they started to mold😢😢😢
    Idk if it's climate difference??
    I keep the humidity down to 38 in my work room. But they felt tacky, like too much thick liquid preventing them from drying.
    So... I'm back to tweaking things in a smaller test batch. Wish me luck🙏

    • @MrsSoapAndClay
      @MrsSoapAndClay  2 роки тому +2

      Oh no! So there’s no water in this, so I don’t super get why mold would be growing. Not that water is the only way for mold to form, but WTF. I’m sorry the soap gremlins got you! 😭 If you’re in a more humid environment, cut down the amount of glycerin to eliminate the tacky feeling.

    • @denisehaley9271
      @denisehaley9271 2 роки тому

      @@MrsSoapAndClay I did. I cut the glycerin down to just 30%, eliminated the Meringue powder, added cream of Tartar, and added just 12gr of coca-betaine adjusted the citric acid a bit.
      They set & dried quickly. They foam nice.
      The batter was a bit dryer, but they scooped great and have nice texture 🤗🤗 no tacky feeling .
      I'm going to let them set and see if any mold issues this time🙏🙏
      I think it was just too much glycerin for this climate.

      It helps disperse the mica in your bath water and emulsify the oils in the bubble bar or bath bombs with your bath water, resulting in no ring of color in your tub. I personally don't use it and take it as a helpful hint for where the tub needs scrubbing 😂 it's really not the difficult to clean off but it can be a deterrent for some customers and because it emulsifies can have more satisfying results. But for me, one less thing I have to spend money on and I'm not big on the polysorbates if I can avoid them. Personal preference, no debates here 😂
