Thanks for watching! If anyone is interested, here is the BK7. la-police-gear.pxf.io/c/2864126/977225/12651?prodsku=BK7&u=https%3A%2F%2Flapolicegear.com%2Fbkt-becker-combat-utility-knife.html&intsrc=PUI2_7557
I got it in my mind there is no such thing as a chopping knife, when it comes to chopping knives are just silly. A hatchet is no bigger cumbersome than the knife and hands down the definition of chopping and it has a hammer surface. But this blade has been taunting me....so to give my mind rest I just ordered one. Your channel is causing me to go broke. Ha.
Heavy duty for sure. A nice all 4 seasons knife. I've always wondered about the bk knives. I'm a sucker for coldsteel though.😄 thanks for sharing look forward to seeing your updated version of it.
I have been using the TOPS Tom Brown Tracker for over 5 years. Done everything with that knife. Hunting, does a great job of opening up game both small and large, does a fantastic job of quartering, the "saw" is more for knotching and it does a great job at knotching bone for breaking points. It does well at fishing, it's a great camp knife, and it excels at bushcraft tasks. I have found 10 ways to hold or use the knife. And once you learn to adapt and think differently about how a knife works, then you can use the knife in ways that you never thought possible, it really opens up the knife's possibilities.
Great Review Jess, I like the sheath design. Knife reminds me of my Ontario Rat7. I beat that thing like it owes me money and it takes it. Have a great weekend.
Nice knife Jess, it should serve you well! There's a good reason it's called "The King". I'm looking forward to seeing what you come up with for your modifications!
Like KT said that's a beast lol. I've had my Winchester Bowie for a few years now and although it's cheap it works very well for me. I like a heavy blade. Thanks for the share bro.
I really am looking forward to seeing if you keep this knife and use it on your adventures. I like the bk-17 mounting options for the sheath is well made with impressive results. I almost did buy a Bk-9 but on west coast they would call that a 2:00 AM Liquor Store Special.
Do you have a video on the Russian special forces shovel? If so what’s the name of the video? Could you use it to clear brush and do light chopping with it?
It's a beast. It'll take down saplings no problem. And hold the edge decent too. I have a nice scar from mine going thru a sapling and kissing my leg lol. I Def carry a companion knife with it.
That plant on your intro is Indian Pipe or Ghost plant. It is suppose to be a pain killer to such a degree that it is compared to morphine, correct me if I am wrong about the morphine comparison. The plant is rare...and not a mushroom as it might appear.
You should get a kydex sheath made for it, it'll make a whole new world of difference. I got a pancake style but only to add more stuff on it. I like Taco style better if it's just going to be worn on the belt.
Local (Swiss) knife sellers expect me to pay ~200$ for a BK9, not the much more reasonable 100$, that you quoted. My favorite knife of similar size is the Skrama 2400 (~90€ after shipping from Varusteleka in Finland) .. but compared to your BK9, my Skrama is dog uggly!
I have both, and if I could only have one, it would be the Skrama, hands down. (Provided I have a pocket knife or small belt/kneck knife with a good, fine point as a companion to it). But I hear you on the aesthetics. I've been tempted to buy one of the blanks and try making my own handle out of stabilized wood, or possibly micarta, though I'd be worried about throwing the balance off too much.
Bk9 all the way. You can do alot more but the tracker is us almost indestructible. Way impractical though. Its an uphill fight with the tracker. Bk9 is an able chopper excellent batoner, better for fine work imo than the tracker. Tracker just looks cooler

seriously effective knife, the bk9. Makes winter north eastern rucking very easy
I been looking at this knife for awhile. I go back and forth.

Its the steel that isnt that great. Buy a Skarma. Better steel and all in one knife. Only 75$ vs 100$.
Need this for clearing some bow hunting lanes- so the video was just what I wanted to see. I just ordered one. Thanks man!
That's a great tool. I replaced the scales on mine with micarta, dyed a green color. Thanks for the video review of the features and best uses.

Thank you! Appreciate it
@@EnduranceRoom could you pleased make a skarama 240 vs Becker bk 9

Quite a beast. Looks decent. Thx and stay safe Jess!
Thanks my friend. It is pretty solid. Have a good one.
Great option for a one tool carry! Thanks Jess
Hey Jess, thanks for the video. I've had my eye on the BK-9 for quite awhile now. I think you've made up my mind. 👍🔪👌
Nice knife Jess, it should serve you well! There's a good reason it's called "The King". I'm looking forward to seeing what you come up with for your modifications!
Thanks Sean! Hope your having a good one!
I put the micarta handles on my BK7. Big inprovement.

Thank you Roy! One of my favorite knives was a Winchester. Have a good one

Looks solid . Spine have a good edge ? Have a great evening
Spine is roughly Mora Companion sharp. So it still needs some work to work as a scraper.
Great knife I shall purchase one
You can’t have too many knives!👍👍👍
Thanks for the review, the HRC is 56-58.
Excellent blade anything KaBar is great!! LOVE the CroVan 1095 take care brotha keep grinding!!(=✌💚
Thanks brother! Appreciate it. Hope you are having a good one.
Great Video.

I don’t have one, but everything I have seen on them is excellent

Yes indeed. It is quite interesting. I had a pretty bad injury to my hand last year and this plant helped significantly.

Nice knife!
This Knife i think this would make a Great SHTF BLADE.. this Blade can do everything you ask of it
I like the BK9, but in that size and price range, I'd go with the Terävä Skrama 240 from Varusteleka. I find it a more versatile tool

The Skrama is a beautiful blade my friend. Sorry to hear about the price of the BK. Thanks for watching.
@@TheScoundrel70 The Skrama looks amazing. The blank would be a sweet project. Go for it brother.

Thanks Tommy!
@@EnduranceRoom I was speechless so could only manage a 👍. Your blade was bigger than mine 😳😁
