Thank you, I appreciate that so much! That video is a few months old and I just did my 8th month update. Still loving Zepbound and how it’s changed my life. 🙏🏽💕💕 Are you on this medication too?
You are the perfect example of how to use a weight loss medication correctly. Changing eating habits and most importantly exercise! You will keep the weight off after going off the med.
Thank you so much, I appreciate that. 🤗💕💕 I started this medication and it was like a flip was switched. I finally had the motivation and determination to get healthy. In the past, it was always just a weight loss journey. This time I’m equally invested in my fitness journey and I think that’s what’s made the difference. I sure hope I can reset my body so I can get off it. Time will tell. 😬🙏🏽💕💕
So glad I came across this video! Just started my zepbound journey this week and you have definitely motivated me to make that time for myself as a mom bc we do want to be healthy for our kids.
Hi!! I’m so glad you got started on your journey!! So excited for you!! You’re going to do great, especially if you try to maximize this opportunity. I know it’s hard because we have so much to do and we got used to putting ourselves last, but we just can’t do that anymore. Our families will thank us even if they don’t realize that yet. You got this!! I hope your first week is going well. Any side effects? Do you feel any better with food noise or appetite suppression? So excited!! 🤗💕🥳
You are doing great! You are one of the only GLP1 content creators that hold yourself accountable and don’t make excuses and that is so very refreshing. Because we all make excuses for why this or that and hearing someone going through this weight loss journey actually taking accountability is huge for me. So thank you for keeping it honest and open.
Thank you so much, I appreciate that. 🤗🙏🏽💕💕 I try to catch myself when I’m making excuses, most of the time it takes me a while to catch on and be real with myself. 😅 It’s just a matter of figuring out what’s important and prioritizing that consistently, that’s the hard part! But we got this!! 🔥🔥💪🏽💕
You are doing great! Be sure to give yourself grace! Oh, and my mom just passed away at age 91 and was definitely obese. We all wondered why she was so overweight since we knew how little she ate. Now I realize that she and I share the same lack of GLP. I've lost almost 60 lbs over the last 7 months and am 6 lbs from a healthy BMI. As I look at the pictures of my mom, my aunt, my grandmother, I realize we all weren't processing the food appropriately. The food I eat now is almost identical to what I used to eat but the weight wouldn't come off before Zepbound. I'm so grateful that I live in an era when the solution to my medical problem exists!
First, I’m sorry for your loss. 😢 I can’t imagine how hard that’s been. I’m sure she was happy that you were prioritizing your health. 💕💕It really is a shame that this medication wasnt available years ago. So many could have benefited from it, including your mom. 😢 It has the power to change lives and like you said, I’m just glad to be alive and benefit from it. Also, 6 pounds from a healthy BMI is huge news! Congratulations!! That’s incredible! 👏🏽🎉🥳💪🏽🔥💕💕
So proud of you…you are a beautiful mom and woman and I cannot even imagine how busy you are ❤ These GLP-1’s are helping us change our life for the better and for longer!!!
This is so relatable! All of it! From spending my childhood and early adulthood super skinny to having kids and the weight dropping right off. Binging uncontrollably. Hiring trainers but feeling guilty for how I was eating and not progressing. 🤯 Congratulations on having a loss while on vacation and on your total loss in 23 weeks! I’m so proud of you! You definitely motivate me and you’re the reason I started walking in June because I also kept making excuses.😅 You’re 100% correct about setting small manageable goals and staying consistent!!!! Another relatable habit I had was dropping off after a few days of trying something which was usually too extreme and definitely not sustainable. 🙈 Twin, YOU ARE SO INSPIRING and I’m glad to be on this life changing journey with you!!!! ❤🥰
We must’ve gotten separated at birth! 😂🤣 I never would have guessed I’d meet someone so similar to me on this journey, but I’m so glad I did! I love that we spur each other on to keep working towards our goals. 💪🏽🔥🔥 August , here we come!! 💕💕💕
Great job on your journey! I appreciate how real & honest you are. I started my channel last month and it’s more challenging than I thought. You make it look so easy. My doctor brought to my attention about not seeing any overweight 90 year olds. It’s eye opening to think of it that way. My daughter is 7 and I want to live as long as I can to be here for her. Your children are blessed to have you as their Mom. Keep up the great work!
You don’t see all the parts I edit out!! 😅😂 But I appreciate the compliment, thank you. 🤗 Have you seen the quote that says something like, “You’d die for your kids, but would you live for them?” 🤯 That’s what this whole thing is about, putting our health first so we can be here for our family as long as possible. We got this!! 💪🏽🔥🔥
Im so glad it’s motivating you to get moving! Doesn’t matter what you do, just stick with it. And in case you need a reminder, you can do hard things! You got this! 🔥💪🏽👊🏽🔥💕
Love your videos! Your doing a great job. You have a great attitude and your an inspiration for me to get moving. Just got an injection in my knee today so I'm hoping that going to help my pain so I can get on my treadmill. I've lost 42 pounds so far. Been taking zepbound for 4 months. You look wonderful and probably feel better!👍😊
Ouch! I can’t imagine how much that hurt. 😖 I hope you find some relief soon and are able to get some time on your treadmill. 42 pounds in 4 months is amazing!! Great job! You’ll get going again in no time, proud of you!! 🤗💪🏽🔥🔥
Your story and transformation pics are inspiring! So proud for you!! Thank you for being so honest and sharing. A lot of my story is in yours and Taisha's stories. A lot of us aren't really all that different are we?!!!! So glad you didn't give up and are willing to be vulnerable to help us.💕👩❤👩
So true, we come from all walks of life, started this journey in different circumstances and yet have found common ground and friendship on this journey. I love that! Thank you for being here and I love that you’re a part of Taisha’s community too!! 🤗👏🏽💕💕 we got this! 👏🏽💪🏽🔥🔥
You’re doing so good, I’m inspired by your dedication. You seems to be an amazing mom and taking charge of your health in the midst of being super busy and tired takes a lot of will power. Your backyard looks so serene and calming. I’d love to live out in the country one day. I am an emotional eater as well, especially during high stress… Tirzepitide has been a blessing for me
Sorry for the late reply, I try to limit screen time on the weekends. Thank you for your kind words, that’s incredibly kind of you and I really appreciate it. 🤗🙏🏽💕💕 I’m so glad you’re experiencing relief from the stress eating. This medication truly is a blessing. My doctor says it’s the closest thing she’s seen to a miracle as far as medications go. All of her patients have done exceptionally well, and 2 have been off it for a year or so and maintained their weight. Have you been on it long?
Giiiiirl You are doing so great! Especially the last handful of videos can see such a big difference! You are SO going to get into that winter coat 💃 👏 💪 I love your story! You are inspiring so many people! I can totally relate to the binge eating and eating til in pain and then continuing on just eating myself to death.
“Eating myself to death” is what it would feel like during those binge sessions. 😢 I never want to go back to that. This medication is life changing. 💕💕 I appreciate you being here, Heather. Thanks for all the encouragement along the way! Also, great memory! lol First frost is in 6 weeks so I don’t have a lot of time left! 🧥😂
Hi sweet Jill. You are doing so amazing. It has been a joy to follow you, and walk this journey together. I started the walking challenge with you in April, and have not stopped since. So proud of you girl. 💕
Making dinner at the moment but had to take a second and thank you for being here from the start! I remember you joining me in the walking challenge and being so excited that others wanted to do this with me! You don’t realize how much you’ve motivated and encouraged me on this journey! 🙏🏽💕💕💕ps. How’s the food scale working out? 😂💕💕
New subscriber here from 🇨🇦Wow, you’ve made some amazing progress! I’m on my 33rd week of MJ, about 23 pounds left to reach my goal. The weight loss has been a little slow for me, but I’m trying to keep more consistent with my workouts 😊
Thanks for subscribing, I appreciate that!! 🤗 Where in Canada? I love Nova Scotia. But admittedly, that’s the only place I’ve visited. Canada is BIG! 😂 Congrats on getting closer to your goal! That’s not far at all! 🔥🔥👏🏽 It took me a long time to realize that consistency is key. I mean, intellectually I understood that, but before zepbound, I just couldn’t get my act together and stick with anything. This medication is changing lives 💪🏽🙏🏽💕🔥
@@2.0mommy Thanks so much for the encouragement! I’m just outside of Toronto. I’ve actually never been to NS, just the West coast. I totally agree with you, these meds have changed so many lives. And I’m so grateful for channels like your’s that have guided me along the way. So inspiring! 😊
@@RoseTea123 I was closer to you when I lived in New York. Now I’m in Maine. ☺️ I’m glad you find anything I share here helpful. Hope you have a great weekend! 🙏🏽💕💕
You've done such a great job! Congrats 🍾 🥂! You look amazing and Im glad you're feeling amazing, too! Love your content. I appreciate the candor and accountability.
Thank you!! Glad it was a reminder to set realistic goals! It’s hard because we get excited and at least in my case, I get impatient and want results fast! 🤦🏽♀️😂💕💕
Hi Jill!!!! CONGRATULATIONS!!!!! I am so happy for you! What a wonderful thing to come home from vacation and see you have a loss!!! You’re doing great! Thank you for being my motivation! I am learning to like my walking pad, although it’s taking some time, lol! Your before and now pictures are so inspiring… Holy change 😮 This morning my scale said 14 pounds down and I am so happy with that! We just gotta keep plugging along! Have a great rest of your week. See you in the next video. 💜
🤣 It can take some getting used to! 😂 How’s the protein shakes going? Do you like them any better? And congrats on 14lbs!! 😎🥳💪🏽 That’s right, we just gotta keep plugging away. Little by little we’re getting healthier! 🙏🏽💕💕
@@2.0mommy i’m going to try again… I have found that I love the fair life CorePower protein drinks. I absolutely love the chocolate and the vanilla. I can drink the straight up chocolate one tastes like chocolate milk! The vanilla flavor I use as a replacement to my nasty coffee mate creamer in my coffee each morning! I highly recommend them! Hope you’re having a good week and have a great weekend !!!!
@@marciefort2904 I keep everyone raving about those! I just have the cheap powder that I mix but maybe I’ll buy a case of those for a special treat. 😋 Have a great weekend too! ☀️☺️🤗
You’re too sweet, thanks for the kind words. If I can help motivate you, I’m happy. ☺️🙏🏽💕💕 Reach out anytime if you need accountability, someone to rant to, or just to share victories. 🔥🙌🏽💪🏽☺️💕
I would call them and explain what you did. They may be able to send you a new box. I would call them and get their advice because I’m really not sure if those pens are still good. 😢Definitely call, I know they’ve replaced boxes for people before. It’s worth it to try!
I am so proud of you and your progress!!! You have adapted your routines and food choices as needed and have figured out what works and what doesn’t and you are driving home that it is a marathon not a sprint!!! Hopefully you have found healing and peace with your progress!!! Do you feel like you are close to your goal body/size/weight?
I definitely feel like I’m closing in on it, but to be honest I’m not sure what my goal weight is. I’d love to be at 25% body fat, so whatever weight that ends up being I’m happy. I’m thinking that’ll be in the 130s but I honestly don’t know. It could end up being more than that if I put on the amount of muscle that I want. That’s really what I’m focusing on, and also BMI. See what you started? I love my scale lol 😂
@@2.0mommythank you, 4th time here but I had to physically go into work during the height of the pandemic. I feel like you will just know when you are where you are about where you should be. I’m guessing you’ll hit a spot where you just maintain 2-3 lbs and when that happens, you’ll likely be close. I could be wrong but I think our bodies are wired that way, when in proper functioning order. I’m so glad the scale is working out for you!! I love that thing, it is so helpful to see the big picture not just weight. 😁
You look great! Keep up the good work. I know it is hard. You have a lot of responsibilities and you should be proud of yourself. Self care is important. Exercise is very important. You just have to find the time to do it and yes something you like to do. I follow a couple of people on UA-cam that keeps me motivated. I have no interest in going to the gym so just walking and doing home videos. Funny we are at the same weight. I am starting 10 mg next week . Will see how it goes. Take care.❤ Christine
I’m all over the place. 🙈😂I just left you a comment on my other video but I see that you answered it here- you decided to move up to 10mg. Definitely keep me posted! I’m sure you’ll do fine. ☺️ And yes, finding what you don’t mind is key. I’m not sure I’ll ever love working out. 🙈😅 No gym for me either! Home is where it’s at! 💕💕
Looking real good!! Most important rule for fitness, and probably a lot of other things: consistency is more important than intensity. Good results take time - as the saying goes, 9 women can't make a baby in a month!
Thanks, Love!❤️ ❤️ “consistency is more important than intensity.” Love that! You’ve been saying that for years and I’m just now getting it. 🙈 Better late than never! 😂
Thanks I appreciate that. ☺️ I’m actually still on 5mg. I did one injection of 7.5 but didn’t like how I felt so decided to stay on 5mg. (I did a video on that if you want all the details- the thumbnail says Not What I Expected) Not trying to get you to watch more of my videos just putting it out there in case you were interested! 😅 Chances are if I took it a second time, it wouldn’t be so bad but I’m doing okay with 5mg so I’ll just stick with that until it’s not working anymore. I wish I was using compounded tirzepatide because you can go up in dose even slower. How’s your journey going so far?
Great video! Thank you for that! I think a lot of people can relate to at least one or two parts of your story, maybe more. My story is too long to tell. I was always skinny. I got married at 18 years old had my two children, my daughter at 21 years old and my son at 22 years old. I lost all the weight right away. As you know Jill my husband of 25 years died 13 years ago. And that’s when I started to gain the weight. I was on so much medication for depression it was ridiculous. Fast forward to June 2021, that’s when I had two strokes. After the stroke’s, when I really couldn’t move, I got off a lot of my medication. I was up to 223 pounds then I lost 20 pounds on my own. But I couldn’t get any further. I’ve been eating the right way for a long time. I started this medication, Mounjaro, in March. I’m down to 167, my blood work keeps better each time I go to the doctors. So I’m thrilled. I do walk every day on my treadmill, but it’s hard for me to weight train as the right side of my body is more than a little numb. I am working on it though! I was feeling so great that I decided to have my eyes done! I couldn’t take my medication for two weeks in May, but I didn’t gain any weight for those two weeks! (looking thinner & younger) I’m really proud of you, you’re doing great! I would love it if you and simply_taisha would start a channel together! I really love the way you support each other it’s a beautiful thing! ✌💙🥰
I’m always amazed at how much you’ve gone through but you’ve persevered and still manage to encourage others. Wow. You really are like a cat with 9 lives! 😂 You mentioned you got off the medications after the strokes, was that your turning point? Where you decided you wanted to change things? Losing 20 lbs o your own after all that is no easy feat. I give you a lot of credit. It must’ve been extremely frustrating stalling at that even when you were doing everything right. So happy this medication was able to jump start things for you! 💕💕 Also, what kind of eye surgery? LASIK? Lastly, maybe one day Taisha and I can coordinate some kind of collaboration. That would be a lot of fun! Great idea!!🙏🏽💕💕💕
@@2.0mommy thanks for the kind words they mean a lot. Yes it was the turning point for me after the strokes. Before that I really wasn’t caring for myself. I was really depressed. I really didn’t have a choice but to be better. It was such a wake up call for me. It’s funny that you said I had nine lives!😁Everybody I know says the same thing about me! Because I almost died in a terrible head on collision 20 years ago. I was in the hospital for a long time and I couldn’t walk for almost a year. But I got through it! This medication changed my life in the best possible way! I had a Blepharoplasty, by a plastic surgeon. I figured that I would treat myself to something I wanted for a while now. Maybe some people think it’s a vain to do but you know me I really don’t care what people think lol it made me happy! 😁 Thanks again for answering me I know you’re a busy woman. Most of all you’re a sincere, sweet, beautiful woman! I’ll see you in your next video! Be safe and God bless! ✌💙🥰
@@sharkbites5472 I said that because I remember you mentioning that! 😂 Also, you’re gonna think I’m making this up but I had upper eyelid surgery too!! Were your tear ducts the problem? Mine had to be pushed back as that was causing the bulge. I wish he had taken more out but it was a great improvement! Definitely don’t think it was vain! 😂 Small world. 💕💕💕
You're very beautiful thanks for sharing this. Reminds me of my sister she has 10 children as well. I just was told i have insulin resistance and will see about trying this medication. Just have to t see if my insurance covers it. But first they recommend protein in meals and to do metformin.
Jill such a great video! Congrats on your 47 lbs! I too am at 47lbs but since mid December. But I’m 10 years older than you and each lb is quite a victory due to menopause etc. I’m a hiker, paddle boarder, and used to weight train and count my macros. I was in such great shape but it was not sustainable at the level I needed. Then perimenopause (and a life trauma) hit and it became impossible. These meds are a life saver for me and yet they make me so fatigued. The Olympics are inspiring me so I’ve been doing laps in my pool (or even treading water for lengths of time) and last night I put on Peloton upper body strength work out. You’re also inspiring me to get my strength back up! Slow and steady and one day at a time is my motto in all areas of my life. 🩷🩷🩷
That’s definitely a lot to overcome. 💕💕 You may not be where you once were, but what’s important is that you’re still prioritizing your health and getting stronger with each day that you keep showing up for yourself. 💪🏽I try to tread water too because it’s good cardio! That’s about the only cardio I don’t mind. 😅 But I’m so glad you’re finding inspiration in the Olympics and even here.😭🤗🙏🏽 If ANYTHING I share helps spark a tiny bit of motivation/inspiration, then I’m happy! One day at a time is my motto too. It’s easy to get overwhelmed but if we take it slow, it’s not so bad. 🤗💕💕
Hi! Sorry for the late reply, I try to unplug on the weekend. My GP prescribed it. A lot of doctors don’t want to prescribe it because they don’t want to manage you so closely on it. Typically you move up in dose every month or so and I suppose they feel it’s a lot of oversight. You could first try explaining to your doctor that you did your research and you really want to try it. Typically, most people move up in dose every month or so, but I’d stay on each dose for as long as possible so you limit any bad side effects, and also so you don’t reach the max dose too quickly. If your doctor is really resistant, I’d look for a new doctor because this medication is definitely worth it. All else fails , there’s always compounding pharmacies online. I hope that helps. 🙏🏽
OMG! I finished my second cup of coffee and had a BRILLIANT IDEA! Is there any way you can plug your walking pad in outside by the pool? Problem solved!😊
Hahaha I’m not a coffee drinker but my husband is, and his best ideas happen after that second cup! 😂 That’s a great idea and I never thought of it but the problem is that I actually have to be in the pool. It’s my 3 yr old that I can’t trust. He goes in with a life jacket but I still get stressed out because he’s a dare devil. Honestly, if it was an in ground pool, I’d feel better about it because I could see him more. But we have a 52” above ground pool and unless you’re right at the side, you can’t see a whole lot. But next year when he’s a little older I’m definitely going to try that!! Thank you!!!!
Hi! I have the GE Smart scale. It’s $28 right now on Amazon if you use the coupon they offer. I really like it. It has an app so you can set up your profile and keep track of your progress. The scale measure, body fat, BMI, body water, muscle mass, etc. I like it a lot more than a regular scale that just measure weight. Hope that helps.
You may have already considered this, but is it possible to plug up your walking pad near the pool so you could watch the kids and get your exercise (not too close; we want you to be safe)? Even if that’s not possible, you could bring out dumb bells and resistance bands to do strength training near the pool while watching the kids. Just a suggestion.
Someone else suggested the same thing and honestly I never thought about that! 😂 🤦🏽♀️ Unfortunately, it’s really my 3 year old that’s the problem. 😂 I actually have to be in there with him. If it was just my other kids, that would totally work! But I’m glad you suggested it because next year I’m pretty sure I’ll be able to trust him in the pool if I’m nearby and you better believe it that I’ll be dragging my walking pad out there! Or at least my dumbbells! It’s funny how sometimes these simple things we tend to overlook. 😂 Great suggestion, thank you! 🙏🏽💕💕
That’s a great way of getting those steps in! It’s great that you love weight lifting. I’m hoping to get to that point! 😅 Although, I’m actually looking forward to using my new weight set tomorrow so I guess that’s a start. 😂
Sorry this is so long! 🙈 Hi! Thanks for being here! 🙏🏽🤗💕I started following a UA-camr Strong Sisters United and she has a series made for beginners. If you feel you need to, you can do her program without weights for a week or two just to get used to the moves and then incorporate the weights. Either way, you should probably start with 5lb weights for upper body and 10 for lower body. Or if you think that’s too heavy, you can try 2lbs and 8lbs for lower body. It really all depends on your level. Thats one way a gym membership is good, you have access to all the weights and can find your starting point. It does get expensive quick if you end up buying something too light/heavy and have to buy more. Not to mention when you outgrow them and have to move up. I guess thats a good problem, but nonetheless it’s money you’re shelling out. They do sell these adjustable weights on Amazon and those definitely come out cheaper in the long run, but it’s a bigger upfront cost. They save space too so that’s a plus. I just got regular dumbbells at Walmart because it was less upfront cost. I have 5, 10, and 15lbs dumbbells. I do need to buy a set of 20lb though, because for some exercises 15 isn’t challenging enough. Crazy that I started out with body weight only and that was all I could do! You can absolutely do this! It’s hard to start because you feel like a fish out of water and don’t know what you should or shouldn’t be doing, but you just gotta start. Find someone on UA-cam you mesh with and stick with that for at least 4 weeks. Then repeat the program but this time increase the weights you used. Like I said, I started with strong sisters united but there’s so many other options. I just really liked her vibe. ☺️ She does a good job of explaining what you should be doing and she gives a full minute of rest in between sets so you have a minute to catch your breath. The goal isn’t cardio, it’s strength training. I can’t recommend her enough! Here’s a link to her beginner playlist: ua-cam.com/play/PLhKXpMu5PMK9j1-RW6jRTDS7EQ6DWc5O6.html&si=imfN51yE5_73jld8 Finally I know this is already very long but I totally understand where you’re coming from and want to help. 😅 I did a community post a while back where I linked a bunch of beginner friendly strength training programs here on UA-cam. You could scroll back and find it if you want (it’s from a month ago and there’s a picture that says “let’s do this”, or you can send me an email and I’ll just copy and paste it. It won’t let me do it here for some reason.
@2.0mommy Wow, thank you SO much!! That is such great advice. I subscribed to that channel as well. This sounds like such a great starting point for me. Love your channel ❤️ I plan to watch all your videos. We have a lot in common! I'm a 2nd generation homeschool mom💪
@@elizabeth0265 second generation! Wow, that’s so cool! So your mom was the OG homeschool mom! 😎💕💕 Glad you found it helpful! How’s 2.5 working out so far? Any questions, don’t hesitate to ask!
@@elizabeth0265 So I came back to this thread to let you know that Strong Sisters United is starting a new beginners series and I saw I missed this comment! 🤦🏽♀️ As for tips, the main thing is make sure you take it on a day where you don’t have a lot going on. Give yourself a buffer just in case you don’t feel great. I’m sure you’ll do fine, but just for peace of mind pick a day that isn’t too busy. Maybe eat light that day in case your digestion feels really sluggish, so you don’t feel like you ate an entire turkey! 😅 Another thing is, if your insurance isn’t forcing you up, consider staying on 2.5 for as long as it works. You’ll probably have to move up eventually, but my strategy is to stay on the lowest, effective dose as possible. I think I’ve avoided side effects that way. You’ll do great, don’t worry. You’re already doing great! 7lbs is amazing!! 🥳🤩 I’d highly encourage you to get started on some kind of exercise too. You’ll just maximize the effectiveness and you’ll feel so much stronger. The new series is premiering next week but I thought you’d like to take a look at it. 🤗 ua-cam.com/video/29Y23s0a1I4/v-deo.htmlsi=PPsqtzqp1jVE5hZU
Hi! Sorry to hear you’re feeling tired. That’s very normal for a lot of people. I did experience that too, mostly the day or two after the shots but it got better by month 2 (I think😬). I’m sleep deprived as a rule so it’s hard for me to remember. But I do remember feeling extra tired in the beginning and feeling like I desperately needed a nap. The only thing I can think of is, make sure you’re eating enough. It’s easy for some people to under eat on this med and obliviously that’ll cause fatigue. Other than that, maybe try a B12 vitamin. My sister swears it helps with her energy level. What dose are you on? 2.5?
@@elizabethderrenkamp6787 2 weeks. The shortage forced me to move up to 5mg. That’s what I’m on now too. I think the fatigue will get better for you. I’m the worst with this, but try to make sure you’re drinking water too. 🙏🏽💕💕
Can I ask how you get your meds? Do you pay out of pocket or does insurance cover it? I’m having a hard time getting my hands on it due to the cost. I have an RX, but haven’t been able to start because I’m not diabetic and that’s the only way my insurance will cover it.
Thats so frustrating, I hate hearing that. They’d rather wait till you develop diabetes before paying for it. So backwards. 🤦🏽♀️😡 My insurance thankfully by the grace of God covers it otherwise there’s no way I could afford it. I wouldn’t be able to afford compounded tirzepatide either . Is that an option for you? There’s a lot of compounding pharmacies to choose from and you could probably get it for $300-400 a month. Still a lot, but definitely cheaper than name brand.
Thank you for taking the time to reply. I’m currently appealing the decision since I have other issues that it could significantly health with. I had the same reaction you did, I asked my HR “you’d rather cover me having a heart attack than help me get healthy?”. It really is backwards especially since I’ve tried EVERYTHING else. Nutrition, personal training, intermittent fasting, counting calories, tracking macros. Compounding is my last resort if the appeal is denied, but 🤞🏼
@@meredithe904 oh good I’m glad you’re appealing it. I’ll never forget when my insurance denied my type 1 daughter a continuous glucose monitor because they didn’t consider it necessary. 😡 It took about 6 months of appeals before they approved it. God willing it doesn’t take that long for you!!! 🙏🏽💕💕
Hi! Great suggestion! A few other people suggested that as well. I’m actually in the pool with the kids when I’m out there. Mostly because of my 3 yr old. But definitely something to consider for next year, thank you!! 🙏🏽 💕💕
Hi! I’ll definitely do that next year when I won’t have to be in the pool with my little guy. I wish it was in ground so I could see them better from the outside. But I think next year I’ll be able to do as you suggested. ☺️ I love your username, btw! 🍕😋😂
As soon as my doctor gets my blood work results he will be deciding whether or not I’ll be going going on the medication, my insurance is covering it I just have a small copay I had baritastic surgery 3 years ago and I’m starting to gain some weight
There’s several people who have had bariatric surgery and are now on this medication. I hope not works out for you especially since your insurance is paying for it! That’s great!! So excited for you! 🙏🏽💕💕
My mum is 86, has been obese her whole adult life. 3 years ago she got really really sick. Spent about 6 months in hospital, her immune system went down to zero. At home she would not get out of bed for weeks and refused to eat anything. I was so worried for her and annoyed that she wouldn't eat a thing but I believe now that is what saved her. After that she slowly but surely came round. She had lost her visceral stubborn belly fat and is now only eating 2 small meals, morning and evening. Sometimes she's not hungry and skips dinner. Never has lunch. Her overall health has dramatically improved.
@@sunbeam9222 Definitely an unexpected blessing, but that must’ve been a pretty scary time. 🙏🏽💕🥺 I’m so glad she was able to turn things around! People might think that she’s not eating enough but honestly as we age we need less food because we’re slowing down and don’t need as much energy. She knows her body and I think that’s great! Thanks for sharing, hope you have a great rest of your week!
@@2.0mommy thank you. Exactly. It might seem like she's not eating enough but she's actually unable to walk much at all, so she's home 99% of the time. That and age, Ofc her caloric needs have lessened and as you say she is listening to her hunger cues and that's how it works out. When family gathers, she is happy to adapt and share a bigger meal with us, eat pizza and ice cream for a special treat , she still eats whatever she likes, if she fancies doughnuts in the morning, she'll go for it but I see her now having half of one, instead of many as she probably would have before. Her appetite has naturally shrunk. Because her energetic needs also have shrunk . Wishing you and family all the best 👍
Hi! 13 pounds is amazing!!🤩🥳💪🏽 Most fitness experts say 1-2 pounds a week, so you did really well on your first month! Are you on 2.5mg? Also, if you want to maximize yiure results, try strength training 3 times a week. ☺️ But you’re doing great! Keep it up!! 🤗💕💕
@2.0mommy yes I'm on the 2.5mg. Just hoping my medicaid covers the next month. Now there saying they don't want to cover it. Ugh. Like what you mean by strength training
@@brittanyadams8759 I know, so many insurances want to stop paying for it. 🥴 Check out the channel strong sisters United. She has a beginners series that she just started but all of her workouts are beginner friendly!
I’m definitely doing that next year! This summer I actually had to be IN the pool with my little guy. But I think he’ll be better next year!! Thanks for the suggestion! Are you on a glp1 too?
You’re very welcome. Yes, I just started taking Mounjaro Oct 12, 2024. I’ve already lost 6 lbs and my fasting blood sugar have improved. I’m type 2 diabetic so I’m lucky that my insurance is covering it.
You're very beautiful thanks for sharing this. Reminds me of my sister she has 10 children as well. I just was told i have insulin resistance and will see about trying this medication. Just have to t see if my insurance covers it. But first they recommend protein in meals and to do metformin.
Aww thanks for watching! 🤗 I’m sorry about your insulin resistance, this medication will definitely help with that. I hope it’s covered by your insurance. The protein in every meal is huge! I didn’t realize how important it was before I started this journey. If I had to get off this medication, I would continue to eat lots of protein to help with both weight and blood sugar numbers. It’s a game changer. But it has to me a lot more protein than you normally eat. Basically take your ideal weight and eat that many grams of protein. So for me, my ideal weight is around 130lbs, so I should be eating around 130g of protein each day. I hope that helps! Good luck to you!! 🙏🏽💕💕
I liked your video. You sounded real & honest at least to me. ❤
Good for you, I wish you all the best!
Thank you so much, I appreciate that. How’s your journey going?
Thank you, I appreciate that! 🙏🏽🤗They truly are life changing in so many ways, not just weight loss.💕💕
This is so relatable! All of it! From spending my childhood and early adulthood super skinny to having kids and the weight dropping right off. Binging uncontrollably. Hiring trainers but feeling guilty for how I was eating and not progressing. 🤯
Congratulations on having a loss while on vacation and on your total loss in 23 weeks! I’m so proud of you!
You definitely motivate me and you’re the reason I started walking in June because I also kept making excuses.😅
You’re 100% correct about setting small manageable goals and staying consistent!!!! Another relatable habit I had was dropping off after a few days of trying something which was usually too extreme and definitely not sustainable. 🙈
Twin, YOU ARE SO INSPIRING and I’m glad to be on this life changing journey with you!!!!
Have you seen the quote that says something like, “You’d die for your kids, but would you live for them?” 🤯
That’s what this whole thing is about, putting our health first so we can be here for our family as long as possible. We got this!! 💪🏽🔥🔥

I am an emotional eater as well, especially during high stress… Tirzepitide has been a blessing for me
Sorry for the late reply, I try to limit screen time on the weekends.
Thank you for your kind words, that’s incredibly kind of you and I really appreciate it. 🤗🙏🏽💕💕
I’m so glad you’re experiencing relief from the stress eating.

Thanks for subscribing, I appreciate that!! 🤗 Where in Canada? I love Nova Scotia. But admittedly, that’s the only place I’ve visited. Canada is BIG! 😂
Congrats on getting closer to your goal!

Look at you! You’ve really transformed your body while inspiring others. Cheers to you, Beautiful! 🍻
Thank you! I owe it to this amazing medication that was the start of it all. 🤗💕💕💕
Congratulations on your success. I enjoyed this video as I need to be more realistic with my goals. 😊

This morning my scale said 14 pounds down and I am so happy with that!

@@R.L.Maverick I agree with that too. ☺️ And yes, so much better looking at the big picture!
Take care.❤

Looking real good!! Most important rule for fitness, and probably a lot of other things: consistency is more important than intensity. Good results take time - as the saying goes, 9 women can't make a baby in a month!
Thanks, Love!❤️ ❤️

You are rocking it!!! I appreciate your channel doesn’t try to sell you a bunch of products! How long did you stay on 5mg?
Thanks I appreciate that. ☺️ I’m actually still on 5mg. I did one injection of 7.5 but didn’t like how I felt so decided to stay on 5mg. (I did a video on that if you want all the details- the thumbnail says Not What I Expected) Not trying to get you to watch more of my videos just putting it out there in case you were interested! 😅
Chances are if I took it a second time, it wouldn’t be so bad but I’m doing okay with 5mg so I’ll just stick with that until it’s not working anymore. I wish I was using compounded tirzepatide because you can go up in dose even slower. How’s your journey going so far?
What are the side effects , and do you have to go on an extreme diet ?
I’m out right now, but I’ll reply as soon as I’m home!! 🙏🏽
Just wanted to let you know I saw this and I’ll reply when I get home!! 🙏🏽💕💕💕

@@sharkbites5472 I said that because I remember you mentioning that! 😂 Also, you’re gonna think I’m making this up but I had upper eyelid surgery too!! Were your tear ducts the problem? Swimming is also excellent low impact exercise. Look at those Olympic swimmers! Full body workout. Congratulations on your progress!
Thank you so much! My pool isn’t big enough for much swimming but I try to tread water and that alone really gets my heart rate up. 😅💕💕
Hi! Just wondering how did you get the medication? My GP doesn’t know much about it. Whom do I ask?
I have an outlet for it too! Excited for next year! 😂🤗💕💕
Do water aerobics in your pool! Low impact, great workout!
Definitely! I try to tread water for cardio and do some simple exercises. Gotta redeem the time. 😉
Any recommendation on weighing scale?
@@2.0mommy got it thanks so much
You may have already considered this, but is it possible to plug up your walking pad near the pool so you could watch the kids and get your exercise (not too close; we want you to be safe)?

Sorry this is so long! 🙈
Hi! ☺️
She does a good job of explaining what you should be doing and she gives a full minute of rest in between sets so you have a minute to catch your breath. The goal isn’t cardio, it’s strength training. I can’t recommend her enough!
Here’s a link to her beginner playlist: ua-cam.com/play/PLhKXpMu5PMK9j1-RW6jRTDS7EQ6DWc5O6.html&si=imfN51yE5_73jld8
Finally I know this is already very long but I totally understand where you’re coming from and want to help.
@2.0mommy It's going good! I'm down 7lbs in my first week and a half. I'm kinda nervous to move up to 5. Any tips?
I’d highly encourage you to get started on some kind of exercise too. You’ll just maximize the effectiveness and you’ll feel so much stronger. The new series is premiering next week but I thought you’d like to take a look at it. 🤗

Thank you for sharing your story, I am on my 3rd week. I have no energy, did anyone else go through this?
@@2.0mommy Hello, yes 2.5. How long was you on 2.5?
@@elizabethderrenkamp6787 2 weeks. The shortage forced me to move up to 5mg. That’s what I’m on now too. I think the fatigue will get better for you. I’m the worst with this, but try to make sure you’re drinking water too. 🙏🏽💕💕
@@2.0mommy I do drink lots of water, I am so glad I found you😊
@@elizabethderrenkamp6787 I’m so glad you found me too! 🤗💕💕
Suggestion, take your walking pad out by the pool while the kids swim
Hi! Great suggestion! A few other people suggested that as well. I’m actually in the pool with the kids when I’m out there. Mostly because of my 3 yr old. But definitely something to consider for next year, thank you!! 🙏🏽 💕💕
Maybe take some hand weights out to the pool and do some sets while you watch the kiddos swim! Great work.
Thank you so much for your support and story
@@vickicolandra8919 of course!! 🙏🏽💕💕If you remember, let me know if your doctor approved it! Fingers crossed!🤞
@@2.0mommy my doctor approved me to go on zepbound now I’m just waiting for the insurance to approve it fingers crossed

Hahahaha🤣 Definitely not diplomatic! 😜😂
@@sunbeam9222 she cracked the code! Hoping to be like her one day! 🔥🙏🏽💕💕Have a great weekend! ☺️🤗
Ive only lost 13lbs from it. Ive taken it for a month now
