      Glad you liked it! Mesh Grabber is an essential add-on in my opinion!

      @@notfromthisworld7672 Totally! I bought it immediately after watching your tutorials. Keep up the brilliant work!

    I just have the basic version but it looks like the rotating one is a must if you are going to use it for anything meticulous. I too would like to see what it can do on body parts like face, arms, stomach etc. You have a very pleasant speaking voice.

      Thank you! I appreciate the comment. In my part 2 video I do touch on character morphing a little. I think the rotator add-on is worth it. The morph add-on is also great because you can save the morphs for all characters and props. I'll demonstrate it in part 2 next week.

    Nice tutorial, would like to see what it can do on the figure itself. Look forward to part 2, thanks

      Thanks! For my part 2 video I will show you an example of morphing a character. Look for it next Friday. Truth is, Mesh Grabber can make some very cool character morphs. Nose, ears, chin, breasts, but... It will really be helpful to change up your character into something like a troll or witch.

    I see it took you over an hour to get the shoulder strap correct!
    You should have Grabbed more to start with.

      Hey! Thanks for the comment. I think the video is a little deceiving because I was working on other things as well. The power of editing I guess! In reality it would take about 10-15 minutes to complete this with mesh grabber. If I remember correctly I did this a couple of times and then edited it into one.

    I usually use zbrush for this purpose but then I only see the garmentz without the figure and I have to guess how the garment would fit. It's probably possible to also import the figure in zbrush and before sending the morph to daz delete it, haven't tried yet, zbrush ui isn't very intuitive for me.

      I've never used zbrush but that sounds familiar to Blender... adding the clothes into the program but not being able to see the character.

    I do not have the rotator and morph editor but I am having fun moving the clothes from my assistants (I am in love with Sahel but Milica is a lovely assistant too :))

      Mesh Grabber is very nice to modify most clothing. I have noticed it doesn't work with certain clothing props with basic geometry... You can get explosions similar to using D-Force. Sahel looks very nice as well!

    How easy is it to use this on hair?

    • @notfromthisworld7672
      @notfromthisworld7672  Рік тому +1

      It will work on hair but in mesh grabber's case it work best on simple hair. Hair with a lot of geometry such as D-Force can be quite a challenge because it is hard to grab everything you want to move.

    • @knallis
      @knallis Рік тому +1

      @@notfromthisworld7672 Cool. I will check it out - didn't intend to use it on dForce hair, but say for istance if you have two characters with one leaning in and resting against the other's head, just "tuck" the hair in

    • @notfromthisworld7672
      @notfromthisworld7672  Рік тому

      @@knallis Yes, it can be good for that type of movement!

  • @googleaccount4159

    You could’ve avoided all the distortion issues by selecting more geometry in the first place and then increasing the falloff. That way you’d get much less of a sharp bend.
    And transect? Not sure that’s what you meant.

    • @notfromthisworld7672
      @notfromthisworld7672  Рік тому

      Definitely! Mesh Grabber has so many options, you just need to play with it yourself to figure out all the things it can do! I am just trying to show some examples. 😁

      Sorry you didn't like the beginning; the tutorial is for people new to Daz Studio but hopefully engaging enough for more experienced users. I hope you received some good information in the video despite the introduction to the product.
