- The Cartune Company (2003) Ltd in New Zealand does 1uz and 3uz conversions / parts and wiring. We have been working on UZ Toyota V8 engines since 2004 when we did our own Hiace van to transport dirtbikes around NZ. Since then we have swapped to doing mainly just Lexus V8 work from a family owned farm hidden away in our paradise , surrounded by the NZ native bush. kiora ,can i do the same to 2008 sangyong actyon sport ,got given one and found out why months later it had no ecu plugged into it ,changed the ignition barrel , the dash lit up but wouldnt turn over ,done the old starter terminal and other battery connection ,it winded over but wouldnt start with the dash lights on, i think the immobilzer light was flashing without the ecu in it ,i just need it for my small farm as its been out of rego for a few years, a good paddock basher to chase the cows

I know its possible, but taking the next step is what I need to do to flash off my problematic imbiliser in a 2012 Hilux KUN16

I have exactly the same thing on a 1999 1kzte prado . Can this be done on mine ? Unfortunately I'm in Gibraltar southern Europe. Can equipment be purchased to so ?
Im seeing thia alot around the world. The 99 prado runs a different system to the later ecus and requires a different way to sort however so this technique does not work to my knowledge. Its more like the 1uz vvti immo defear system we use.
Could this immobilizer delete be done to a lexus gs 300 2jzge vvti stock ecu 03 model
The 2003 is likely to be the older immo system which I have videos on the removal process as well. So yes, the immo can be removed on the JZ ecu as well. Cheers Kelvin

I can gladly reflash your ecu. At this point in time I have no plans to do more videos on this topic.

So I’m here in the middle of an NT remote community in Australia with two Hiace vans with the same trouble. Earth the TC wire for 30min with ignition on, come back and disconnect earth wire and it will start. That it ?? For real ?
Depends on what the fault is. To swap to another ecu and match immo to van that works on later hiace and hilux.
I’m trying to eliminate the immobiliser. Gscan3 tool says key is talking to immobiliser ok but immobiliser isn’t talking to ECU.
In the video I saw if you want to swap ecus then you can align replacement ecu to vehicle by bridging TC to ground but of coarse you require a working immobilizer system to do this. You can't align components when there is a fault with any of the systems. As you see in the video I had an immo fault and flashed the immo off the ecu rather than repairing the immo system. Cheers

A quick search of an obd2 connector shows position.
Kelvin, we weren't offered this engine in the US market as far as I know... Does it have enough torque for a decent occaisional off-roading vehicle?
Correct, these didn't make it to the usa. Yes, quite a torquey engine. They go nicely.
I've just swapped out my ecu and key reader and key. Only problem is as you stated about reflashing emmobilser is an easier fix rather than pull the whole dash apart . You explain this in your tutorial but not how to do it.

Using some wiring diagrams might be a good place to start

What’s exactly TC?
Its a terminal in the diagnostic plug. Stands for timing check.
