Muse - Cave Acoustic - HMV Bristol 1999

- Track two of a three track set. This is an instore signing session from 1999, filmed by Matthew George. This track was previously published on Georges website "The Muscle Museum" in low resolution, but was recently rediscovered on VHS.
Muse performed in many stores during the 1999 Showbiz promotional tour - some of the signed items from these performances carry high values because they took the time to sign with their full names back then.
This is probably the most intimate Muse set you will ever see - with around 30 people squeezed into the HMV in Bristol to witness this amazing show. Fun fact - Muse also popped over the river Severn to the Cardiff HMV store in Wales to perform on the same day!
These videos have been released as a THANK YOU gift - to the donators of the Muse Collectors 2012 competition. If you want to learn about this years competition, head over to Muse Collectors and get involved.
Thanks goes out to Pierre_Luigi and Muse Bootlegs, and to MG for recording it in the first place.
From playing to 30 people in a cramped record store to selling out stadiums, these guys have come really far.
…and they have earned it . Great musicians !
everyone's here talking about how far Muse have come. And they have. But all I can think is: "this is such a cool fucking version of Cave"
You still gotta get to "A higher level." 😂
love the way he sings "come in my cave" WOW
In 1999 I was almost there. I was 29 and just emigrated... And had gotten the showbiz album and was engaged. Well by time the Resistance in 2009 I was divorced, but had 2 beautiful children. They now go with me to Muse concerts.
0:00 - 1:10 yep this is Cave I know this song 1:11 - 1:24 *actual chills*
Seriously, I can't stop rewinding and listening to that part. He sounds like a guitar.
holy shit. theyve just come so far. gives me the shivers
SunnyRia not in the right direction though. They were amazing for the first 10yrs and have now become something completely different
@@MrGeewiz1 any band that does not grow and change their sound becomes stagnant. Sorry Muse is too fresh for your stagnant-ass brain.
@@MrGeewiz1Yes! It's called growth.
@@dianeaishamonday9125All great musicians try out different sounds in their careers.
Shit! Taylor Swift changed genres completely!
Just look at The Cure! Dark, slow, fast, happy, dreamy, acoustic, they pretty much did everything. That's why they're in the Rock and Roll hall of fame....
Matt is insanely talented and creative!!!!
They really didn't take any 'small' performance for granted. They really appreciated playing to 5-10 audiences for nurturing their maturity as solid performers on live stage today, with massive crowd. Nothing grows easier but appreciate a small step will get you to a further place.
That's a nice ass camera for 1999.
its called a VIDEO camera. you may have heard of those! they used to make television programs with them.
1999 not 1899!
Maybe Hi-8
Now they are playing in major stadiums. The feels. They made it so far. (/;-;)/
This is so fucking beautiful all the sounds I'm crying
I give you 1 miilion if you build a time machine to bring me there.
+lePistolero yeeeeeeeeeah, me too!!!!
+lePistolero common worth far more than that lol :)
Александр Чебан 💙💙💙
Make it 5 million; you will have plenty after investing in bitcoin
Well I guess time machine was never built huh. Because if it do you'd already be in the video
My God, I wish I have was here
Rodolfo Rocha me I wasn’t even born
Cette version est une merveille, quel talent , comme j'aurai aimé être là au ce moment là
Pure class!
20yrs later they play at Bristol City FC’s Ashton Gate 👌
sick
Wow!! Just wow I cant even...whatever thats why I love them
The first time I watched this video it had around 2000 views and no dislikes, it's amazing that it still has non, it makes me think we all are real fans. They were touched by god. This is beautiful... Can't wait for the unnplugged (cause hell of course they're gonna do it)
bro wtf
Reading comments like this always tempts me into disliking the video but it seems some were 1 step ahead
What u mean God touched them? Dude, that shit is gross
@@Edgar_Gutierritoz please don't sexualize the sense of touch, he means like a pat on the head or something. YOU'RE the gross one here.
@@thee2724Why?
I can't understand why there's no girls running up to them and giving them a 💋
And then, I thought that was a Linkin Park poster behind them, but it was MUSE times 2! I really want to teleport back to that time. It's the best!
i have 0 words to describe this
4 years later and still big mood
You technically described it with 6 words.
Magical ✨
@@Brian-jg7tuThat's 7 including you...

this is so good wtf
holy crap the part at 1:09 is just amazing. Love this version wish I could've heard this irl
That's why we love him.
Far, far away in time from playing Rome Olympic Stadium
One for the history books...
Dom is so cute with his blond hair :P
I'm jealous of Matt's hair. It's blacker than mine now.
I was an art student back in Redditch around that time. I would have ventured into music stores. Before the time of downloads and UA-cam etc
I really, really miss those days!
the camera man at 4:11 same
Matthew George had a very good quality camera back in the days! Superb video and audio!
@@user-ph6yh4hs9zBefore I say you're a 🤡, you read the video description, didn't you?
@@user-ph6yh4hs9zWhy are you acting as a 🤡? You read the description correctly, didn't you?
Didn't you learn to read and understand the texts at the elementary school? Why this clown comment?
Did they teach you how to read? @@user-ph6yh4hs9z
To the intelligent guy who replied to my first comment. Did you even read???
Omfg this!!!!!!
I actually like that version more than the Studio one
Pour moi , c'est la meilleure version de Cave avec la version Hullabaloo

I wonder who bought that guitar
I'm still laughing at the tag dangling from the neck! I used to test out everything at Musician's Friend....

MATT IS SICK!!!!
wwrrrrrrrrthisiscalledcave
Whereabouts in Bristol was this? I mean where was the HMV based? Was this before Cabot Circus was a thing?
0:01 es como si estuviese diciendo "pururutururu pen" jajaja
😻😻😻❤️❤️❤️ Meow
Is that the Taylor 712ce that he'd later use for unintended at Wembley 2007?
Is there no official release for this version??
I'd give anything to see them do a stripped down show at Rock City now!!
does anyone have the tabs to this version?
He looks like a young christian bale there
Those dislikes are from the neighbouring stores
Old muse is the best muse
For fuck's sake! There is no old and new. People still say old Taylor New Taylor.
The only thing that changed is the year!
Those bandboys, they are great! But they cant keep up with the ideas of the champion.
They went from this to Something Human... :D
Michael Taylor Hey i’m from the future to let you know the new album actually turned out amazing!!
:')
why?
Боже
actually....
I think Matt Bellamy is very talented, but I don't see Muse as a band as much.
So, what is a band then? Nickelback?
@@tutsybassista Yeah
amazing
