Showbiz is a seriously underrated album. There are songs on there that make me feel like I shouldn't be listening to them. Like I wandered into someone's most private thoughts and intruded into their emotional space. There's a feeling that you are watching someone strip down to their bare selves. Fuck I love it.

What's your point? They're still playing their core rock instruments for their newer songs AND about 60% of their setlist is their older songs.

The Maniac 17 they are going to at a closed event soon just before or after reading, they said they will do something special for reading and the other event is by request track wise.
It's one of the greatest songs in their career but fewest people listened to it, it looks to be underrated in spite of the flawlessness and the delightful vibe spread. I think it's a pity that they currently shun putting this into their line-up, that's a masterpiece beyond question! The message conveyed by this song is original and even the way they used to start it was appreciable. How much do I regret old Muse!

Would never intentionally forget to mention Matt's voice, it is his best instrument, soooo love his ability to create a mood or stop your heart with the intensity of his emotion. And Chris and Dom? They're all geniuses. MUSE FOREVER.
Never, EVER, should this above and beyond normal performer play any instrument resembling normal. His talent demands something way ahead of the average pack. Love watching him play all those beautiful guitars and the gorgeous pianos, my fave is the red glitterati (especially on Stockholm Syndrome). CAVE is on my favorites list, of course, and this is an OUTSTANDING performance. Soooo young, and only improves with age.

Read an interview Matt saying it's hard to sing this because he should hold that long "Caaaaaaaaveee". Understandable if it's one of the reasons they barely play Showbiz songs today. Those songs are hell to be sung.

I saw them last week in the uk and Sadly this album seems to be erased from their playlist completely. No songs from Showbiz and just 2 songs from Origin of Symetry.
Yeah, Matt is training his voice to do higher stuff again. The problem is the older albums aren’t as known to newer fans and they want everybody to know the songs so it’s all a good mood. They need Showbiz as a set list whole.

You need distortion and... a pick.
Just strum the strings above the nut WITHOUT dampening the strings at all. Then "re-grip" them to stop it. I LOVE THIS TECHNIQUE. Don't know its proper name though... :/
