    The purpose of my channel is to document my cancer journey to look back on, and/or help anyone else going through anything similar. It is also to potentially help loved ones supporting those who are in this fight as well. This is also an easy way to update a lot of people at once. My main goal is to have footage of this journey for my husband and children to look back on. I originally created this channel as a sort of video diary for my
    family.
    Thank you so much for following along on this journey. Your love and support help me so much.

    I really noticed how thin, Elyss legs were at Baseball, recently. He seems, to have lost a noticeable amount of weight lately. Only mentioning it, as an observation and a helpful comment. Not as a go, at how you are parenting. Maybe he needs a check up, at your family Dr's Clinic.

      I agree, I think Kyle tries to stay busy or be around someone right now , not to be alone , but the kids are so busy with school, homework , now the camper and sports … they need that downtime to recharge their batteries , play with their toys/ games . Besides , Disney is fun yes , we have annual passes as well, but we avoid the busy days , no fun when it’s so crowded. ( and hot 🥵.. Kyle , how do you wear a ski hat all the time ? Lol ) I think Ellis , especially, appreciates his downtime . Hope all the “ background “ secrecy is nothing bad … by the look on Kyles face … not so sure . Keeping you all in my prayers and glad that you all are here , we sure love you guys! You don’t need to entertain us .. we just care and love the simple home videos as well. ❤️❤️🍀🍀

      I was told by a friend who is also a therapist "the only way to deal with grief is to feel your feelings and to go through it. Which is so hard because our instinct is to run and hide from it, but it will not go away if we hide..even if we want it to". So yah..as hard as it is..we have to feel the feelings to get through the feelings 😢💔

    WARNING!! Hi Kyle. I wanted to mention something to you regarding Ellis set belt. I recently watched a video called Sams Story. It was about a boy, Ellis age, who was in a terrible car accident on the way home from school with his mom and brother.
    The position of Sams seatbelt was like Ellis . Close to the neck. This poor boy was nearly decapitated by the belt and suffered permanent brain damage. He needs 24/7 care.
    Sams mother has since come out spreading the word about booster seats for young kids. They’re too old for car seats , but still too small for adult seat belts alone. She goes into detail about how exactly the belt should fit, where it should rest on the shoulder so it saves you and doesn’t harm you in an accident.
    Please search the video and consider getting Ellis a booster seat . Probably for the short term as he will likely have a huge growth spurt pretty soon.
    I know you’re an awesome Dad so I thought you’d like to hear this info

    Just ideas on veganism & raising kids. There is a little controversy raising kids vegan. It can be done in a healthy way, but you have to really make a conscious effort & many families are just too busy. I’ve seen vegan kids sneak food outside of the home that weren’t allowed in the home. I didn’t want my kids to do that so I told my kids: if y’all ever want to eat chicken or fish, let me know and I will make it for you. I would get an organic chicken or fish and fix it for them & I continued the other components of our diet. I felt like I respected my kids choices without the pressure that parents put on veganism.

    • @GroundhogBaby
      @GroundhogBaby 6 місяців тому +5

      Those children are too young to eat vegan. They are missing nutrients that a rapidly growing body needs. They are growing children, not adults. They need a balanced diet. That's why they feel tired and look pale. They should be fully grown before they go vegan.

    I remember when I lost my mom, I was an adult but we were extremely close. She was my only living parent and her death rocked my world. After the funeral I just wanted to leave town, go to the beach and meditate, however once there I didn’t want to be there. I was looking for comfort and couldn’t find it, I was lost. I’m so glad your children have you to talk to, and you let them express their feelings, good or bad. Kyle, you are doing an awesome job, just being there and letting them express how they are feeling is helping them so much. They know they are not alone in their grief, you guys are a unit and they know they can always count on you. There might be times they think being some place will make them happy, but that darn grief creeps back in and spoils the day. Hang in there daddy, you are awesome!

    Disney isn’t everyone’s idea of fun. The lights, the sounds, the crowds, can all be too much for some kids. If it’s not Ellis’s happy place that’s totally fine. He’s a thoughtful, quiet kids who’s probably an introvert. It’s pretty obvious he doesn’t want to be on camera. All this to say, Kyle is a great dad who loves his kids.

    As someone who lost her husband three years ago, I can attest to grief being exhausting, and it seems that you will never feel normal again. But normal slowly becomes different and you learn to live in the “new normal”. But it all takes time and it wears you out for a while. You are all so new in the grieving process, just give yourselves a break. Home is a good place to heal with those that you love.

      So many of us care very much about this family and offer suggestions from a well-meaning place -- just another perspective for Kyle to consider as he goes forward with this heartbreaking new reality for him and, more importantly, his two young children. No one is expecting Kyle to act on every suggestion, or even for him or others in his family to read all of them. No, it's just that maybe something that is suggested may strike a chord for him to consider. Many times in my own life, someone else's perspective has changed the game for me because I hadn't considered these ideas before, but because I didn't put up a brick wall or echo chamber, I was able to at least entertain a new perspective. I don't know everything and neither do you, Kyle, or anyone else in this world. So please don't insult those of us whose opinions may differ from yours by calling us "idiots" or even "haters", and especially when it comes to the welfare of these two little kids who are struggling, and especially sensitive Ellis. Isn't this a community? Because your comment was hearted by Kyle or his family, I will never post here again. But please for you and Kyle and his family, at least consider and always remember, that most of us mean well.
