2021: 8 Rounds of Chemotherapy (Carboplatin and Paclitaxel) with 30 concurrent radiation treatments to chest and lung
Failed Immunotherapy directly after Chemo and Radiation (Durvalumab, 1 round)
2022: Chemotherapy
10 rounds of Chemotherapy (Carboplatin, Alimta, and Avastin)
6 with Carboplatin, 4 without
Targeted Brain Radiation (Completed)

The purpose of my channel is to document my cancer journey to look back on, and/or help anyone else going through anything similar. It is also to potentially help loved ones supporting those who are in this fight as well. This is also an easy way to update a lot of people at once. My main goal is to have footage of this journey for my husband and children to look back on. I originally created this channel as a sort of video diary for my
family.

Jenny is lovely and I miss her, however, imo the gifts are getting too many. It was ok in the beginning, but Jenny has been gone for more than six months and the children have to learn that it's not a new normal to be showered with gifts because mom has died. They must have so many toys in the meantime that there certainly have to be new ways to use them.
I also son't get why people don't send presents to needy people, but that's their own decision. Please, don't tell me I'm jealous or frustrated, I'm not. If anything, I've got too much stuff on my own.
You are so right!! Children / people loose relative / parents all the time but I think to be showered with gifs regularly its not good. I love you guys so much but I feel this is getting out of hand. Enough with the gifts and P.O. Boxes…. donate all to a Cancer children hospital for they will be so happy. Ellis and Winnie are lucky to have you and they have already more privileges then other children.

The picture with your student brought tears to my eyes. I had a special son and they are such special people. My so passed 3 years ago so o know somewhat you are going through. He was 37 and so so special. Glad you are a special ed teacher. These kids teach YOU a lot.

If I spent my precious time, energy and money into picking out a gift, packing it up, getting it mailed out, only to find that they in turned gave away what I put so much effort into doing, I'd be so hurt. That's a view from this 70 year old, disabled great grandma.
I understand how many kids go without.....so, try sending something to your local shelter or pantry, along with your gift to the Applefords. Please dont try to make this beautiful gesture of giving to this family a guilt trip for Kyle!

Kyle, this is such a precious video. I graduated from a teaching professions program in high school and was a student teacher for a time. So I especially appreciated that precious photo of you and your former student. And it is so beautiful to see all the love being poured into you and your children. It is a direct result of the beautiful spirit that Jenny had, and that you all had. Jenny asked us to look out for you, Winnie, Ellis, Ashley, and Melanie, etc. And we will always be here for you all.
I'm not vegan , but, for a few months I was on a specific vegan diet and one of the recipes was walnut tacos. It literally looked and tasted like taco meat, and you can use lettuce wraps or spelt wraps. After soaking the walnuts and grounding them, it looked like taco meat. I ended up getting very very sick after being on this monitored diet and had horrible migraines and nausea. But, I'm glad you and your family are doing good on it. ❤

I love the way he recognizes the comments that agree with him keeping this overabundance of toys and gifts and ignores the ones that suggest they share. Very telling. Jenny would not be proud or happy with these behaviors.

Oh Kyle, so many beautiful and thoughtful gifts sent to you, Ellis, Winnie and the pets. Such a kind and caring community that you and Jenny have built. The poem that someone wrote with the part about looking for signs had me crying as I had been having a hard couple of very down days at the beginning of this week and was about to hang out some laundry and was crying and when I stepped outside and as I turned around to close the door there on the bricks was a little ladybird 🐞 as we say here in Australia and it honestly felt like a sign from Jenny saying it will be ok, just when I really needed it. It really lifted me up 💜 The photo with you student was wonderful, such amazing work on his rock 💜

Kyle I sent a box of jewelry I made Winnie and there was other stuff in the box. I believe I sent it couple months ago. There was a letter in it I wrote. I’ve watched all your videos and you haven’t said if you received it. I’ve been really worried someone else got your package. I spent a lot of time making a lot of earrings and necklaces for Whinny. There also was a box of legos and some red butterflies for the kids to hang wherever they wanted. Please let me know if you received this.
Yes, I also sent some rather fragile angels from a distance, insured them as they were costly, and checked tracking number, which only said pkg was delivered to P.O.Box.I

Wish things were like they used to be. Many have lost loved ones, but people that have you tube channels get gifts of different things and money. It's OK to try to get past the grief, but I think after a while it should come to an end. The kids shouldn't keep expecting gifts all the time. It's OK if others want to help, but when is enough enough?
You think it is your place to decide who can give to who? If you want to give to someone else, then you do that. If you have a problem that people receive joy giving to them, who receives joy being thought of, then work on finding out what is wrong with you. All we see is that you are a bitter unhappy human who desperately seeks things to which you can lash out your personal misery, which does not make a good human being.

@@betsybabf748 Oh, I'm not lonely and bitter like you might think. Thanks for the compliment of being middle aged. I'm actually 76. I have lived a very full life and have raised 5 wonderful caring children. I have watched many live streamers on you tube. A lot of them have ended up taking advantage of caring people that choose to send money and gifts to them being selfish etc. I understand this family went thru a lot losing a mother and wife. It has helped with people being kind to them. But, over time I don't think it is right to keep expecting all the gifts and money to continue for an extended period of time. I'm just stating my opinion. I think others will agree. Many have lost loved ones and don't have a you tube channel to be able to do this type of thing. Before all this live streaming became popular, people never did this or for a long time after all funeral no one sent gifts or money like this allows people to do. You might think it's rude for me to say what I have. But, it's just common sense to let children go on with their lives not expecting gifts everyday from the death of a loved one. They should remember the loved one, but not be constantly reminded everyday of it as a time to keep getting gifts. Have a nice day.

So thoughtful and kind, but will eventually clutter your home and cause you stress! My suggestion is to donate things you no longer use or serves you purpose as items come in to keep your home organized. And have the children go through toys they are no longer interested in to donate to other children.
