Since moving and living in England I have never trusted any doctors in this country especially since Covid. Is the first I'm watching your channel and I know you said you don't have any Jamaican friends can't say I blame you. But girl I welcome you to loving and living in Jamaica unlike many of us who is so scared is moving back to Jamaica. I'm looking forward to meet and greet you when I come to Jamaica. We need more Cubans in Jamaica like you. One of the thing I will tell you black Jamaicans don't like our colour and especially when you don't wear wig and you pretty they are so jealous and badmind.
You always find those cruel, unprofessional people in the government offices. They feel like they have the privilege to abuse people bcos they're in the government office. They will let you sit, and they go around like they're on strike just to torture you. She stepped out of her line of duty to discriminate against you. Things like that happen, but it is not the time and place.
Gm Flor, this is my second time listening to you. I am a Jamaican living abroad, and I sure can relate to your experiences. I enjoy listening to your stories. I also have Cuban friends and they share some of their stories living in Cuba too. All the best to you my dear.
My dear, you are one of a kind woman. A LOT of Cuban women have used Jamaican men as a stepping stone to the US and ran off with their money and broke their hearts as well. One friend of a friend of mine did all the paperwork and paid a lot of money to bring his lady here from Cuba to get married. When he went to the airport to pick her up she was picked up by a Cuban man living here and they just laughed at him. He was devastated! There are so many similar stories, so i understand what the lady on the third floor said because she has seen and heard it all. Also, being a white Jamaican, i go through a lot of discrimination here, similar to what you go through with your white family (and worse), so i fully understand. Just to let you know. i have solar at home and follow essential solar on UA-cam, and my south American wife got her glasses at your place. Thanks for sharing your story. Welcome to Jamaica my dear.
🤗 Thank you so much for sharing this story. I actually met a Cuban girl that was married to a Jamaican man that did almost the same. She went to America with a Cuban man. I know there is a bad reputation that precedes me and continues to occur unfortunately. I understand the lady from the third floor predisposition and this is why I have met Cubans in Jamaica who lie about being from Costa Rica, Ecuador and Dom Rep instead, because of the bad stigma others have left for us. One thing to consider is how relationships are formed. In my case I met my husband in Cuba, we lived together for a year and then we got married in Cuba, he was mi age and had no money 🤣( don't tell him I said that)🤣 but yeah he was a student not working and his family was not rich. Actually one of the reasons why he had to go back to Jamaica was because his family could not afford Medical school in Cuba for him. I had the option of going to Miami through my grandfather and aunt but never had the interest. Actually I dislike Miami very much 🤣 I lived there for a year and I could not wait to leave. My husband did a lot of due diligence while we were in Cuba 🤣 the amount of times he showed up unannounced 🤭 he even fly to Cuba days before he said he was coming back and nothing. I was just in love with him, he was my one and only man and to be honest when I met him, I was done with Cuban man, they are the worst. So that girl with the friend of a friend I am sure is sorry she did what she did. Thank you so much for you support, I know I recognized your profile from somewhere as I run the Essential Solar page. You will never forget the first few digs at your motivations for "taking one of Jamaica's good men". Those insults will always resonate with you as your first impression of how Jamaicans thought about you. "There are not enough good men in your own country that you have to take ours"? I got all of those comments and more. I salute you for your kindness in not naming that officer. Jamaica is a small island. Word travels with the speed of light. You know who you are and your worth. Never allow anyone to tear you down to their level. Hold your head high. I wish I was there to sit down and talk to you. I believe that we would have been great friends. Be well.

Your story is so intriguing. Being a Jamaican I can't imagine how you must have felt. Trust me I live in the States and as an immigrant, I have had stereotype behavior and remarks thrown at me. A lot of people view us as people who don't speak English and are here to take their jobs.
You have such a beautiful spirit. I love your laugh, compassion and grace you have for people; even the ones who were not kind to you. May the Good Lord Bless you always.
Blessings Flor. Lovely story. We are glad there was a happy ending to it. I love your vibe, your command of English and the ease with which you slip in and out of Janaican patois. No es facil mami. Gwaan do yuh thing. Bendiciones!

So glad I found you on YT, I am now subscribed. Watching this and your other videos, you are very articulate and a wonderful story teller. Unfortunately, there is still too many people in positions of power who abuse it. You stayed strong and can now laugh at the person who put you through that ordeal.
You are such a sweet and beautiful person. You give us an insight into Cuba. My wife of 25 years is Jamaican. We have two sons. My first wife was Cuban. She passed from cancer. She was born in Camaguey and came the US with Peter Pan. They placed her with a family in Oregon. She didn't speak any English and the students made fun of her. She was so intelligent, the Cuban regime was going to send her to the Soviet Union to become a doctor. When they told her father, a wealthy sugar farmer, he put her on the next plane to the US.😁
There is absolutely no excuse for unprofessionalism and downright tackiness. Her bad behavior had nothing to do with your character, but everything to do with her power-tripping and crassness! All the best to you and your husband! ❤
You’re full of life! You were bound to make good of yourself in Jamaica. And to stick with your goal of technically becoming Jamaican by citizenship, is pretty impressive. Big up yourself mama yuh strong yf ❤

Thanks for sharing. You are a kindred spirit. All of us who faced immigration officers in various places are familiar with parts of your story. I didn’t have the lady on the third floor but I had a Chinese man on a high floor in NYC.
Flor I am up at 5 Sunday morning the 25th viewing your vlog and must say that you are one good narrator and funny as hell; I can see that you are still hurting from that traumatic experience at the immigration office, and through it all you are still smiling and 'cracking some jokes' 😅😅😅 and can still say positive things about that office and Jamaica in particular. You are an extraordinary woman! Thank for sharing your story and hope that Officer is still alive and is viewing this vlog 😂😂 All the best to you and your family ❤❤
Your story is like reading a book the way you tell it. Thank you for letting me read a book.Ifbit was in print I would not know because I am not a reader.
There’s always one bad apple in the group most of us Jamaicans are very good people you must have realized that by now so sorry you had to go through that but I know you love Jamaica and you have a very good husband god bless you and your family👏👍👏❤️
More Jamaican should visit Cuba and see the warm reception that they get these people are so kind and loving they don’t bother you for anything even when we are at hotels and giving them tips. They hardly want to take it. They said we’re just happy you’re here they love Jamaicans so I think Jamaicans should-appreciate Cubans and for in the past what they have done for our country and our people.
I experienced racism in Cuba, went into a little shop to buy a ice-cream bar, stood there for maybe 10 minutes without the guy serving me, like a fool, was clueless to what was happening, because I couldn't believe this was happening.
@@heavensent197 `It may not have been racism, you have to pushup yourself (like boarding a bus in Jamaica) to get served sometimes + he may not know any english.

Be well.
Awww Jean thank you so much for your words of encouragement 🤗 Those hard moments are the ones that make us stronger. I hope we can meet one day 🤗 Mucho Love🤗
Quote of the day "I didn't want more than what I have" a very good life lesson, so many people killing, dying due to greed and power hunger. This is a delightful video ❤

Watching u from Santa Cruz St Elizabeth, i visit ur country three time in my life cuba 🇨🇺 is a interesting country very historical
One thing we take pride on preserve and cherish is our history. Thank you so much for that remark you are very observant.
Your story is so intriguing. Being a Jamaican I can't imagine how you must have felt. Trust me
I live in the States and as an immigrant, I have had stereotype behavior and remarks thrown at me. A lot of people view us as people who don't speak English and are here to take their jobs.
I'm happy for you ❤❤❤❤❤ welcome to Jamaica 🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲 such a blessed country 🙏🙏🙏 and blessings 🙏🙏🙏 to you and family 🙏🙌🙏
You are a beautiful soul.
Aww ☺️ thanks so much 🫂
Yes she is indeed!

No lies told, PICA is the most professional entity in government that I have dealt with.
Wow! You're such an awesome person; love your personality. You are a beautiful soul, an overcomer, and I am so sorry you went through what you did, but God got you girl! Cheer up and move on...what don't break you make you stronger. Continue to Live! Love! Laugh. Laughter is a great therapy. God's blessings always to you, your awesome husband, and your beautiful children.

So glad I found you on YT, I am now subscribed. Watching this and your other videos, you are very articulate and a wonderful story teller. Unfortunately, there is still too many people in positions of power who abuse it. You stayed strong and can now laugh at the person who put you through that ordeal.
And count my blessings (hugs) Thank you so much
Girl you are a light that so beautiful love so much usa Jamaican
Thanks for making Jamaica your home .Hope you find a nice church to attend if you haven't done so yet
She is wonderful. I am proud to have her as a countrywoman.
When they told her father, a wealthy sugar farmer, he put her on the next plane to the US.😁
Gwaan girl big up yourself..keep doing your thing. Enjoyed the video
Love your story. Glad you still love Jamaica.
😆😆😆 Thank you so much 🤗
You are too funny. I love and enjoy your videos.

Thanks for sharing. You are a kindred spirit. All of us who faced immigration officers in various places are familiar with parts of your story. I didn’t have the lady on the third floor but I had a Chinese man on a high floor in NYC.
Fortunately, the right people in Jamaica saw you were genuine and honest. Btw, I enjoy hearing your Jamaican patois.
I appreciate that so much thank you
Me too, she sounds so cute..lol

Flor, so sorry you had that experience. She was extremely unprofessional. Thanks for sharing your story.
Thanks for watching! It was a difficult process that made me stronger
