That Chennai test match right after the 26/11 terrorist attacks and Sachin's match winning century on a rank turner on the last day of the test match. That knock was truly more than just a century,India needed its hero to rise up to challenge, not just in cricketing terms. And he did . The Great Sachin Tendulkar ❤

Stadiums in India are mostly 40/50k plus capacity . So a crowd of 15/20 k may look small .

Bazball might be the only thing that works if pitches are the same as they used to be. If each side is scoring 120 and getting out, then defensive shots are probably as risky(?) as attacking shots but have a bigger payoff.

Exactly.Defence and Technique become immaterial when it spits square. Make hay while you can.

Talking about crowds, *kimber* have to be specific about the formats init? T20's, one dayers crowds turns up day in and out. But not for test cricket esp at non traditional test venues

It's called dressing appropriately for the occasion - not looking like you've just come in from your allotment. It's a respect thing.

Passion of the game? Australia v England at the WORLD CUP in Indian was played practically behind cloaed doors.
They dont have passion for the game they have suspect love for THEIR players. Lets get it right.

it was played in world's biggest stadium that has capacity of 1,32,000 people. 55,000 attended the match which is 1.5 times the total capacity of lords. Imagine 55,000 turning up for a non india league match. Thats a lot. The stadium might have looked empty because the capacity is too much.

I was there at the stadium and it was actually a great atmosphere. We couldn't get out of the stadium for at least half an hour. Trust me.

Na not having it if they loved the game so much 8/10 world cup games wouldnt have been played in empty stadiums. Just wanna go jump around weirdly when Kolhi hits a 4.
