I had the honor of meeting and shaking the hands of both CDR Krissoff and Maj Gen Larry Nicholson at the 2015 Memorial Day ceremony at Mt. Soledad, here in San Diego. Semper Fidelis, 1stSgt USMC
My respect and Thank You for service - Thats what I love the USA and the US-Soldiers ! A comrade and friend from Germany Please excuse me for my rusty English
You can by enlisting and/or going through OCS and becoming an officer. Another way is have degrees in a professions like law, medicine, dental, etc...that you can enter as a staff officer.
Thank's, so much you guys for your strong, reliable, great service that all of you have given to your country.Thank you for your service and your heart's.
It's because he's a Corpsman, they're commissioned by the Navy and then act as part of the Marine Corps, Marines see Corpsmen as fellow Marines because they're serving the Marines in a great way. And that's why it's being covered by the Marines.
As someone who has had NUMEROUS surgeries on both knees, I am grateful that you have the skills, the love, and the willingness to care for our wounded warriors in such a specialized field. Thank you for your service, Cmdr. Krissof. I am so sorry for the loss of your son, however.
I enjoy watching stories of our armed forces and our US cousins armed forces, especially those stories of brotherhood and bravery, but this story stands out from the many I've watched over the years. Now, as a Dad to a young boy myself, I understand just a little more what loss and sacrifice means when you are a parent. What this man did was exemplary.
this man is the true testament of courage... losing a child is hard enough. In this world of hate and righteousness honoring his son this way is the most admirable and self-sacrificing thing i have heard about in a long time..
Commander ( Dr.) Bill Krisoff, USN: What a Bad Ass...... Thank You, Sir , for Your Son's and Your Own Naval Service, from a Former Enlisted Marine and Soldier, Sir🇺🇸🇺🇲🦅🌎⚓👿🐶🪖💣💥🔥🇺🇸🇺🇲‼️
Dont give a shit about protestors, liberals, Trump problems. I am so very pround of those who protect us everyday by doing horrible shit so my children can grow up in the greatest place on Earth. I truly thank each and everyone of you!!
Congratulations Commander and thank you for your continue service. I was wondering what uniform is that, the woman is wearing beside General Nicholson at the end?
This doc examined me when my left knee swole up to 1.5 times normal size and sent me by routine medevac to Kuwait to get a scan of my knee. I happened to be the one on the table when they were doing a story on this guy, and if you watch this video I’m the Marine in PT gear being examined.
Yes. But many Marines accept corpsman as their own. You see many marine gathering or motorcycle clubs, and they usually only allow marines and corpsman.
Just for clarification.. Naval doctors get to the rank of lieutenant (O-3) and since he is a commander (0-5) the original comment stating that “he is probably a captain” means that he is, presumed to be now, a 0-6 ranked officer (or a colonel in any other branch).
Now THAT'S a man. Instead of complaining he does something.
Thank you for your service and as a former US Marine thank you for saving lives in combat!

He is probably a captain now. (If he stayed)
Doctors go straight to captain
Same with legal officers

Semper Fi Sir!
It has to do with what command or unit you're attached to, for example, sailors deployed to Army commands in Afghanistan will wear army multi-cams.
semper fi, orrah!
Damn... that sergeant has a nice voice!
HOOYAH Cmdr. Krissoff!
Semper Fi, brothers!

Not enough people on this Earth like CDR Krissoff.
Didn't recognize the Commander's "Warfare" Chest Insignia...
