a tip to the women who live alone out there. I once heard someone give this advice years ago when I was a kid... If you're a woman and you live alone go to the thrift store and try to find a pair of used work boots and some used baseball hats. hang the hat's up or you would hang your stuff and put the boots where they can be seen from the front door. even if you have a porch you can put a pair of old work boots on the porch. The purpose of this is to give the illusion to anyone who may come to the door or anyone that comes in that a guy is around or at least comes and goes.
Also if you can get hornet spray keep it in your room by your bed. It helps spray the intruder from a further distance giving you enough time to get away or do what you have to do.

I think the thing I respect most about Detective Smyth is that hes not phony. Yes, he tried to solve crimes by using guile and techniques, but I honestly do believe he also DOES treat even the suspects he interrogated, the respect that he stated in his interview with Russell Williams. a tip to the women who live alone out there. The purpose of this is to give the illusion to anyone who may come to the door or anyone that comes in that a guy is around or at least comes and goes.
danny Ray yeah thats really smart. 👍
Best thing: protection dog if your single. If anybody enters your house, he will be finished ;)
And get the biggest ones you can find! Big boots= big guy. ;-)
Also if you can get hornet spray keep it in your room by your bed. It helps spray the intruder from a further distance giving you enough time to get away or do what you have to do.

People with authority should have their lives audited every year throughly. If you want to hold those positions then prove you're worth our trust.
Not every war hero is a Pervert.
@@Dunning.Kruger How bouts we Audit you for Kiddly Fiddling ?
I think that’s a good idea - but logistically I think it would be virtually impossible to implement a system that would successfully be carried out properly. It ‘could’ be done for sure - but I think it would be a major fight trying to fight to spend the already spent dollars on new staff across the country to keep an eye on these people. Would be a great idea though, for sure....
Jason, a far better "should" is teaching our own children right from wrong. There will always be evil, but a strong conscience is what steers people away from wrong, and toward right.
@@Dunning.Kruger "Cluster B" traits: impressive! You've watched "psychology" videos by freshman college kids who've taken a psychology class. (Btw, it's "Cluster B," not "B-cluster.")
Anne is definitely the type of woman I want in my friend circle she’s so strong and brave! Imagine being Larry the neighbour oooof!! RIP to all the victims.
He could have gone to the store to buy women underwears
He was blessed He play with his blessings
@@midrennelubin9433 that doesn't go with his fetish. he got off on stalking terrorizing and violating women and children.
Thanks for keeping us safe 🥰
@@midrennelubin9433 I don’t think you’ve grasped the NATURE of his DEPRAVITY! He wanted underwear BELONGING to these women - it was about VIOLATION every bit as much as the rapes were!! It had nothing to do with just buying underwear in a store!
It seems that the only smart man in this story was the local who spotted the SUV and put the police on the right track.
OMG! Please STOP calling these murderers "loners". It's a discrimination and offensive to loners. Most loners are not murderers and most murderers are not loners. And also, many people living in developed countries can be described as loners now.
mpking1374 I so appreciate your comment. I’m a loner yet I’ve never hurt anyone in this manner, ever. So sad.
Or maybe they are very popular and the life of the party like Ted Bundy!
Why do you choose to identify with loners? The fact you're single doesn't mean you're a loner. You just are smart enough to not get married and divorce in a few years and fight for children. Trust me, oftentimes the married ones are loners.
mpking1374, the colonel was not a loner. He just wanted to be alone so he can prowl into people's houses. He was too busy breaking into people's homes to make any friends.
OMG! Please stop taking words out of context. So what if he was a loner? Where does it say that all loners are murderers and most murderers are loners? If we have to stop describing criminals' mental and physical characteristics that would be ridiculous. OMG, stop saying he has blond hair! All blonds are not murderers. OMG stop saying he was artistic, all artists are not murderers.... sheesh! If his friends and people who knew him describe him as a loner, they are entitled to their opinion. What would you like? For them to say he was the life of the party and had loads of friends, when he didn't? Then you can say "OMG! stop saying he was the life of the party, all outgoing people are not murderers? Get a grip.
He went back to the same house 3 times after the attack 👀 Wth
And she had a wee baby I can’t imagine her terror.
@@JP-md8fp Which same house ???
Since there were no signs and everyone around him has claimed it was totally impossible and unexpected, we can rest assured there are many more in the highest positions of power.
Yes, starting with that reptilian incestual family ruling the UK.
Warren Lightning 😂😂
Yep, show nuff!!.
Yeh not killers but those who take money through lies and deception , bastards !
Shakdi Dagalimal I’m absolutely sure that there were signs! Just that the wife and his friends chose to ignore them!
The man is sick! He should rot in jail.
Two of the most beautiful, both inside and out, young girls who had their entire lives ahead of them, he murdered. 🌸🌸 I hope he is haunted the rest of his life.
There are so many women whose lives are shattered and destroyed by abusive psychopathic cowards
Hes a psychopath lol. He will never be haunted, or have any remorse for what he has done
Ha ha ha... You are joking right. He has absolutely no remorse for what he did. I don’t think that he even think that he really did anything wrong.
Won’t be haunted but he’ll face God one day.
@@dougroberts9821 which god? Thor?
I can’t even break into my own house when I lock myself out without a neighbor or someone seeing me !??
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂that's true for most of us and funny at the same time. Getting caught breaking into your own house.
These men turn into like tigers relentless stalkers and killers ! It’s scary
One of the most shocking crime stories I've ever watched. The interrogation was textbook
More than textbook: textbooks have been rewritten thanks to this masterpiece of an interrogation and they're used worldwide to train law enforcement.
This is crazy it's like straight out of a movie.
Can you imagine getting your dildo stolen?
The Behavior Panel has a great video of his interrogation.
...and to think that, all this time, he was walking around with the evidence square on his head.
Oooooh he's in solitary! That's pretty torturous right there. Not as torturous as the fear Jessica and Marie France faced before he took their lives, their one and only lives.
+Jack Jameson I bet your mother is annoying as hell too, maybe a psycho will get her , ....troll
Jo Molly I heard he's living good in jail, supposedly there putting 2cells together with carpet, lap top, flat screen TV, and some other stuff do your research....
I don't believe he has access to the Net .
Facts pls and your source.
Thnx
He doesn't have access to the internet
He should have carpet, toilet and bed with perhaps books, but nothing else in a small cell room. Best punishment.
I feel so sad for his victims, all of them. And their loved ones. Sickening.
And poor Larry Jones!
watch the interrogation, dude is straight up cold
If u think he is cold then U should watch Sean Vincent Gillis.

really appreciate documentary without loud interfering music blasting over dialogue. This man is really smooth at being a criminal. None of the women assaulted had big dog(s). Women live in fear every day, Williams didn't live in fear.
The guy at 29 minutes in, who saw the Pathfinder in the field, he’s the most Canadian person I’ve ever heard .. and he got Williams caught.
I love him 😆🥰🥰
He's Irish... that's not very Canadian, let alone the most Canadian person ever...
@@bobhope7648 LOL - He’s not Irish. That accent is rural eastern Ontario through and through. And yes, they do talk like that.
@@bobhope7648 Brother, if that's what you think Irish sounds like then I don't reckon you've met many Irish. That's what rural Ontarians sound like lol
You don’t know the secrets even people that you think you know are hiding.
I know. I hate when people say "He would never do that", how ridiculous is that?
Like your Dad?,
Like mine
You didn't even mention what he was doing with all those clothes he stole. He tried them on and took pictures!
We all know about that, and it's completely peripheral to the story (but it's what many kids remember). The creators of the documentary correctly prioritised the core of the story and left out the peripheral stuff.
I promise... not all Canadians say, "eh" this much. Smh.
It's so frightening that you can be framed with a crime and live in the same place as the person who has done it
Lazy cops and their desperation to look like heroes ASAP has sent a lot of innocent men to prison!
To call this guy a psycho creeper is an understatement
His smile is so creepy
I like his smile. His smile has nothing to do with the crimes.
And the gum chomping during the interrogation. So cold and nonchalant.
I came home one night and was on crutches from 2 broken toes. When I walked in, the house was unusually cold, so I thought I forgot to leave the heat on. I went to put it on, noticed the window was open in the LR and snow on the rug. I didn't even think about going any further, I hobbled out to the car as natural as possible, got in the car, locked the doors... to neighbors and called the police. They told me there was still snow on the basement floor from tracks and if I didn't leave when I did, there was a rapist prisoner on the run and God knows what would have happened.
I couldn't go back to the house for a month and got a roommate and whatever security I could get installed. Those of us who get away are so extremely lucky.
Shame they banned the electric chair 😔☝️
Not in the south u.s states
yes but he also deserves to rot in jail for what he has done.
