      That’s actually not true I heard in an interview by this gentleman that he had very little time to prepare at all
      In a perfect world yes they would have all the information that was discussed in this documentary but it wasn’t the case in this circumstance

    • @dalfifran7572
      @dalfifran7572 Рік тому

      Actually the interrogator had an interview about this.
      No, he didn't plan for every eventuality, and no time to study Russ, they only have him as suspect for 2 days from tire impression. Infact, he's going in 50-50 about Russ as a suspect at the start of interview. Mind you, they don't have all the evidence yet at this point.
      All they have is tire and footwear impression at mid interview, 2 set of circumstantial evidence which might be enough to convict him on Jessica, but they have nothing on other victims.
      But as experienced interrogator, he knew how to respond and how to dig information based on how the other side act, then sort of going with the flow.
      Your style of interrogation could change based on how the suspect, witness, or other person of interest react to you.
      Of course as the interrogation goes on he became more and more suspicious, but it's only after Russ "freeze" reaction when shown footprint comparison he's 100% convinced he got the right guy.

I prefer the old days where someone like Andy Sipowicz would take a child molester or wife beater into an interrogation room with no cameras and use a little force to get answers out of them. Lots of idiocy going on in this video. 37:19 "Just as if he had to get up and tell a bunch of people about the people who have just died under his command." WTF?? He's not exactly commanding a unit on the front lines ffs and never has. Tons of assumption and embellishing on this show to make it more entertaining. Also there is no brilliant interrogation here this guy was just smart enough to know he was caught, that lawyering up wouldn't save him and that cooperating would save his wife a lot of hassle. This detective quite simply just won the suspect lottery is what happened. The personality and intelligence of the suspect has as much to do or more with the outcome of an interrogation as the skill of the detective does. I don't think that this detective fooled or cajoled or outsmarted Russell Williams into confessing. Williams knew the jig was up and made a conscious choice to go the easiest route for the sake of his wife.

    • @deeskers1
      @deeskers1 6 років тому +19

      Come on, give the guy a break on that one. He was just making a point that the other detectives were watching as it was happening. He said 'Live feed' and then changed it to 'Camera'. The more I watch it, the more his regional accent is what makes me smile. But...I'm from near the same area of the U.S. that he is, so don't judge, lol. Yet I do get a kick out of his very Italian, St. Louis-y, Chicago-y accent.

      What your not thinking is the pain to upkeep bald head. Shave on daily basis, and there is always a shade where the hair is still growing if you don't do a perfect job shaving. My opinion is that almost in all cases, it's better to keep that hair just really short. It looks pretty decent that way.
