I live about 40 mins from Dryden. Do you provide tours and/or workshops on how to get started in the planning process of building earthships for colder climates and possible tips on how to navigate zoning laws/permits. Thanks so much!

Amazing. I live in upstate New York and have no idea that it was possible to build an Earthship here. I'd love to build my own one day.

Same. I didn't think Central NY would allow these brilliant structures. I would imagine zoning/permitting are the biggest hurdles IF you can get a mortgage for a non traditional home. I don't know where to begin...

What codes are you specifically taking issue with? I'd like to know because I'd like to build myself.

Is this the first earthship in NY?

    Hi,
Anyone here know an architect or engineer who could help in designing cabins with alternative building materials for upstate NY? I am thinking about a combination of earthship, superadobe, and aircrete. County will not permit it without engineer sealed plans.

The great thing about these (I've been following this type of construction for 15 years or so.) is their stand alone, self sustaining features. Climate change is a really touchy subject and many of us are buying the mainstream accounting of it all. The military has been essentially controlling major portions of the "weather" since the 1950s. I know many will scoff at that statement, but Tesla (Nikola, not the car company) had patents on tech in the 1890s that allowed him to create earthquakes and much more. Many of his patents were taken following his death in the late 1940s and became the base for HAARP and the atmospheric heaters which can super heat the upper atmosphere creating all types of weather anomalies. The point is, non of this is entered into the scary climate change narrative, none of the 24/7 chemtrail program either, but I digress. The UN formed agenda 2030 and its center piece is the climate of course. Its core directive is tight control of everything (internet of things) and of course energy monitoring (Alexa/siri/Google, etc) and being penalized for "using too much" will be part and parcel to this control. These homes allow separation from the same and independence from some of the monitoring, I'll be building in the northeast (MA) and I'm looking to start capitalizing on this separation soon.
