bigger 6WD and 8WD they have typhoon families with 6x6 and 8x8. This is designed for a light motorised company. The heavy ones has Typhoon families and BTR families.
I wish that the Aberdeen Proving Ground facilities here in the U.S. made videos like this. I know the Humvee went through similar trials and having used it for years, I know it is a superb vehicle having used it myself in the U.S. Army for years, but sadly, it was pushed far beyond it's original design. What saddens me is that the U.S. military is now spending millions on un-armored fast vehicles in a completely unproven military doctrine. Profit over practical reality has become the motto of U.S. military procurement processes. The Humvee (and maybe the JLTV) were perhaps the last U.S. military ground vehicles to pass testing with flying colors. The Russian Tigr is interesting in that the designers did a detailed analysis of the up-armored humvees shortcomings and strengths, and basically made a similar vehicle with an improved design. Likewise here in the U.S., the renowned OSHKOSH company made an excellent JLTV vehicle to replace the humvee. However the Pentagon doesn't want to spend the money on making thousands of them so they're looking at faster unarmored vehicles instead. Pure insanity. Even an up-armored high mobility fast attack vehicle with ceramic doors, will not survive a modern battlefield in which simple mortars equipped with air-burst fuses will kill the occupants. The U.S. military needs to concentrate spending instead on well-armored multi-purpose vehicles like the JLTV. Unarmored fast attack vehicles should strictly be for special missions like long-range recon and even then need to have at least armored doors, armored front windshields, and a v-shaped armored hull. Meanwhile the U.S. military still does not have a good unarmored troop transport like the Russian Typhoon vehicle. Our up-armored FMTV's only have armored crew cabins. The passengers are completely unprotected unless brigade level maintenance crews up-armor passenger areas with blow torches and ad-hock steel armor (and sandbags). Meanwhile our military is liquidating thousands of MRAPS which was what we were using. Yet no replacement for any MRAPS as a standard armored military personnel carrier has been made. It's like the U.S. military is struggling between a WWIII and a Iraq War mentality with corporate lobbyists being the main influencers. The fact of the matter is that Russian vehicles while less in number than NATO counterparts, are technically superior. Granted videos like this are propaganda, but as someone with experience in a wide range of military vehicles, I can sift through the bullshit and see details in the video that tell me the evidence I need. Personally I hope that America and Russia will stop being opponents, but rather instead form an alliance against Chinese influence and an alliance against international terrorism instead of playing stupid Cold War games. In exchange I hope Putin and senior Kremlin officials will be kinder to political opposition and develop a better democracy on their own terms in which political opposition is thoroughly vetted to not have foreign $$$$ influencing them. We need the same thing in America. If you talk to most U.S. military, very few of us want to go to war with Russia. Most of us would MUCH rather be fighting alongside Russian Spetsnaz and airborne operators fighting against extremist terrorists and doing peace-keeping missions together. We know that a war between the U.S. and Russia, even a limited war in Syria for example, would still be a massive bloodbath on both sides. The Wagner Group found out first-hand what that felt like. However I also know that the U.S. military has yet experienced a full on Russian air or artillery attack using modern munitions. We've only faced Iranian tactical SSM attacks and only pre-warnings prevented massive casualties. When it comes to the Ukraine, America should be the intermediary working the hardest towards a peaceful resolution. I don't think we should be arming the Ukraine, but I also think we shouldn't allow Russia to roll over the Ukraine. We all know that the Ukrainian-Russian war is a stupid and tragic war. It needs to be resolved diplomatically with efforts on all sides made towards reconciliation. Most fighters I've talked to in that war, all believe the same thing. They are willing to die, but they also know that it's ultimately a stupid war between brothers. But if Russia persists on undermining America in other countries and in our election systems, sadly that Ukrainian conflict will persist. Lets stop this insanity and help each other rather than harm each other. America, on our part need to understand Russian history and know that Russia generally works best under a strong man Czar-like system. That's just Russian culture. In contrast I see Russia as a rather democratic place in comparison to China in which even the slightest criticism of local, state, or national government can result in an individual being sent to forced-labor prison camps for years. This is why I see a U.S./NATO/Russian alliance against China as being the logical future of our foreign policy.

@@destroyerarmor2846 How so? Active Protection Systems now seem to have made ATGM's and unguided AT rockets obsolete unless volley fire tactics are practiced. However volley fire is difficult to coordinate and if concentrated, makes their location susceptible to swift counter-attack by the tank's main guns. That being said, APS systems also potentially allow for lighter armor to be used more. But, against other tanks APS systems are still in their developmental stages as far as being able to defeat hyper-velocity SABOT rounds from an enemy tank's gun. But against standard RPG's and ATGM's, we know from Israeli trials of their Trophy system during the last major invasion of the Gaza Strip, that the system worked perfectly with the only losses being from large IED's. IED warfare is now a major part of U.S. Army Corp of Engineers training to include how to make them and effectively employ them against an enemy in such a manner as to decoy or avoid their counter-measures and detection systems.
@@wigon APS systems are not viable yet and humans are still squishy. APS systems my harm troops outside the vehicle if any. The next step in warfare is unmanned robots with humans acting as observers from the rear
@@destroyerarmor2846 The Israeli Army would disagree with you. They reported that in combat during their last major incursion into the Gaza strip, their Trophy system was highly effective against both ATGM and RPG fire. No vehicles with the Trophy system mounted on it were damaged. In contrast, they lost a large number of armored vehicles without the trophy system during their last invasion of Lebanon. Even the U.S. military is now buying the Trophy APS and has already ordered 400 systems. Robotic vehicles I don't think will play a major role on a modern battlefield unless they are made to be autonomous. There are already logistics vehicles in advanced stages of development that are largely autonomous. However problems identifying friend from foe prevents fully autonomous combat vehicles. Those that are remotely operated by humans have one major weakness- Electronic Counter Measures (ECM). The Iranians demonstrated this with the capture of an American advanced UAV stealth drone that they hacked into and commandeered.
