It could be a few different things, but first I'd want to know what that "metallic look" looks like? Are you getting a very fine metallic look or are the metallic flakes more substantial? IF, all your cleaning and prep work was done correctly and there is no chance of cross contamination of the powder, then my first thought would be under curing and the various components of the powder have not fully flowed and bonded together.
@PrismaticPowders I've been using a low gloss black and I've made sure that my setup is clean but for cleaning the part I've been blasting then since it was a very oily part it sat in the oven at 375 for 20 min then I wiped it down with acetone then back in the oven for ten then applied powder.
i am experiencing issues with powder coating. I am using epoxy polyester powder, but it is showing signs of corrosion or poor adhesion, particularly at the edges please help me
Sharp edges can be tricky to build mil thickness upon. However I do have a question, Is this an interior or exterior project? Epoxy powders need a clear to protect from UV, having another layer will also give you another chance an gaining more mil thickness on edges.
starburst, fisheyes, and craters are user error. but the reality is youre going to have fuck up in the powder industry 10% of the time with known powder and potential for %50 or more with new powder you never used. THIS IS THE REASON ALL THE PEOPLE DOING THIS DO NOT CHARGE NEARRLLLLLY ENOUGH.

What does it mean when your cured coat looks glittery when no gliter or sparkling powder was used
