Yeah, any higher gloss color show orange peel more. We've had personal experience and heard from many that shooting hot with gloss black really helps to keep it smooth. Of course all the standard precautions when shooting hot still apply, but when done correctly it helps.
If depends on a few things. If the orange peel is the result of too much powder, there's not really anything you can do, but if you seeing orange peel in the illusion layer, Sometimes the Illusion layer will even out more once the clear is on.

The best way to avoid orange peel is to bring down the powder and less hands when applying also bring down the voltage
Why am I getting a lot of orange peel on Illusion purple? Doesn't happen with other illusions. Spraying and curing the same way.

Can you fix illusion series if you have Orange peel at flowout?
