    Oh Yea Warren! Thats what I'm talking about...nice gold nuggets. I think the ATX is still underrated down under. If it doesn't say Minelab on the machine, it can't be any good right? Crazy... Good depth and room to spare it looks like on that bigger piece. I have been running my threshold on 10-11 lately and getting squeaker targets I might have missed with no threshold, at a bit more depth now with more threshold. Great video!

      Bearkat4160 Spot on Alan - actually there are a lot of ATX owners in Australia just going about their business and finding gold and relics - it is a brilliant machine with lots to offer if an operator puts in the time and gets to know it. Actually on that hunt I was doing a lot of detecting in Non-Motion mode with sensitivity on 13! The ATX was just humming along with only the occasional retune required. Lots of deep holes being dug. If you stay on top of things and run it as ragged as you can - you will always come home with something nice. Best wishes mate and Happy Fossicking! Warren.

      NQExplorers Very nice Warren. I have run my ATX in NMM also way out in the midde of no-where and was smooth as silk. Around town, not so good. Unfortunately the SDC 2300 and the GPZ 7000 have taken off here in the US, people seem to have given up on the ATX for gold here. Strange. Once those came out I hardly ever sell and ATX anymore. Cheers, keep up the good work!

    Warren. Great hunt. Good to see you in the colder climate of Vic. I reckon that the ATX is very under rated and as Bearcat4160 says if it hasn't got Minelab on it we don't seem interested. Can't work out why that is. Garrett make fantastic detectors. Showing a live dig just might convince a few more people of how good a machine these are. Great video.

      allaboutdetecting Thanks for your comment - yes the ATX is out there finding gold and relics with no problem at all, lots of happy owners swinging them going about their business - live digs are always great when they come off! Happy Fossicking mate! Warren.

      Hello Warren show please to the world that everyone can run a Garret ATX in the highest Aussie mineralised conditions at a good gain level without any disturbing noise . This will push the Garret ATX towards a the deserved level .
      Happy hunting .
      I hunt some very tiny nuggets in a poor place in the world . No timings needed no high brain smoking tricks !

  • @m3sca1
    @m3sca1 9 років тому

    Good finds there. You seriously should invest a gutter scoop though mate.
    You could have had that live dig over in a flash and finished and on to the next target.
    The quicker you recover them, the more targets you can dig in a day.
    I use a long gutter scoop i bought from bunnings for $3 to pick up a scoop then run the pointer under/along the scoop. Tip out the waste and you get down to that last handful in one action.

    • @NQExplorers
      @NQExplorers  9 років тому

      m3sca1 Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment on the video - your advice regarding the scoop is heeded - I actually have one but just didn't pack it in the kit that day - that kind of recovery is always a risk on a live dig - best wishes and Happy Fossicking! Warren.

    guess thankfully someone else didn't have there Minelab adjusted to the perfect 1 in thousand settings 🤣

    • @360.Outdoors.Videos
      @360.Outdoors.Videos 5 років тому +2

      Minelab ist good when you choose one single timing per hunting session among thousand possible settings !!!!!!!Just fed up about this situation !!!!. Do you listen Sir minelab about what we are telling you ?! I cannot afford the time nor I have the energy to hunt a place at least twice to find the gold !!! If I have to say it short : minelabs are two times more expensive and you need to hunt twice the same place if you want to be efficient ! And most of all after 10 hours of random minelab threshold noise you find yourself an nothing else ... wrecked with bleeding ears . Why do you not allow a stable threshold ? This random noise will anyway destroy a weak signal if you are overwhelmed by this constant audio pollution ... So do twice as cheap detectors first and allow one single pass to get the tiny gold AND the bigger one all together !!!!

    Ooh you were down my way. That is beautiful gold. I'm still persisting with the Infinium but no gold so far. Lots and lots of led bullets and brass shell casings though! The gold must be there somewhere. Was this near Ballarat?

      +MONICA FRYER G'day Monica - sorry for the delayed reply. Yes there are fossicking tours which operate into most Australian goldfields. Certainly in NSW, Victoria and WA. Depends where you are but most offer escorted (bring your own 4wd) tag along type tours. Hope this helps and Happy Fossicking! Warren.

    I hear you talk about "nice little nuggets" but, to tell you the truth Warren, I have never seen an ugly one. They are ALL nice, and I have found hundreds of them, but I have never seen one that I didn't like. Your video's should be banned mate, they give me ideas, they stir up the blood and, at the moment anyway, I can't do anything about it. Keep 'em coming anyway.
    The oldest coins I ever found were out from Dunolly, an 1813 shilling and an 1863 shilling. Both were in the same hole. What a loss that must have been back then!

    • @NQExplorers
      @NQExplorers  9 років тому

      Walter Kerr Thanks for your great comment Walter - yes all nuggets are 'nice' LOL. With regards to the coins, around 10 years back Colleen and I found a silver spill up here at an old Cobb & Co stop - 4 Shillings and 2 Sixpences all together - all dated in the 1870s. Imagine the loss the owner suffered way back then - probably the coach fare to the coast and more! If only they could talk! All the best mate and Happy Fossicking! Warren and Colleen.
