Excellent demo. Thank you for explaining the float.
I've never been much for cleaning up 😬 but I think that vac would make it enjoyable! Thanks as always Jen 👍
This one’s a nice size for my basement.
Nice and strong vac it look very useful have a great evening Jennifer good to see you videos again😉
Thanks, Denny! I’ve been busy creating content for Amazon but am still here too. 🙌

Hi Jennifer, could you please tell me if you know, is the motor head the same size (diameter wise) as the 12 gal Stealthsonic? I have the 12 gal. and love it and was thinking of picking up the 9 gal but have limited space under my cabinet where it will always live connected to my stationary belt sander & drum sander.
quite curious if the stealth Sonic ,12 gal vacuum head would actually fit on this ,9 gall vacuum bottom just reviewed
Sounds louder than the stealth sonic
Is there anything close to that quiet with blower functionality?
First. I love watching your stuff.
Yea!!! You're on it, Juan! Thanks for supporting my channel.
I had never needed to take the filter off, so I missed that the float-water take up system was inside the paper filter.
Thank you for sharing! Just bought one, looks solid!
Also, I am not gonna put my phone inside the vacuum to see how dust circulates!! Lol
lol, my poor phone…😅
I have one - it moves REAL easy when the cord is not lying out - the thing skids all over and won't even clear the power cord on the floor. The hose is stiff and a bit short for my liking; the cloth basket for attachments screws on and has come off several times - metal into plastic, cheap crap from China. But I guess, what's not these days. Just saying; my local store had dropped Shop Vac's when I needed a new one so I had to get this one in a pinch. Also, her statement about washing the filter... if you do that you're feeding water to mold and other possibly dangerous spores and if you're going to do that be sure to use a 10-1 bleach solution before putting it out to dry. It is not a HEPA filter. compared to Shop Vac, as I used to have anyway, is a poor replacement. I've had it three years. Very powerful motor - that's a plus, but about the only one. One last thing - does the thing come with the water operation adaptor cage, because mine didn't! So is that separate money!?
Thanks a lot for great educational & instructional videos I highly appreciate it for the main topic where can I get the filter for this specific product please 😎
Thank you for the kind words! There’s a pop up link around the 3 minute mark or you can find them at www.amazon.com/shop/missdewaltjennifercline/photo/amzn1.shoppablemedia.v1.49a2ceff-a747-4212-9b2e-feeb6cba9e18?ref_=aipsfphoto_aipsfmissdewaltjennifercline
You did good and answered one of two questions I had just by taking the vacuum apart, and you never had to move your lips. 2nd question, where’s the tool squeegee for wet basement floors or is that a must purchase extra tool?
Hi Judas, it's the utility nozzle mentioned at 2:00. I demonstrated a similar attachment with a fish tank and the StealthSonic vacuum in this video. ua-cam.com/video/QbkHsGmWvfk/v-deo.htmlsi=zarXt0f0W5wH85mh
This could kind of give you an idea of how it works with water and debris.
That's the next vacuum that I am going to buy. I have every other name brand but this one has the right power for the size. Mobile detailing only calls for smaller vacs.
good vacuum, wish it had an optional longer hose.
You probably could swap this out easily.
Good heavy duty shop vac! Great video Jennifer!!
Thanks so much, Ricky!
Hi, how to I use this vac for picking up large amounts of water? Do I keep the cartridge/filter screwed on, or do I remove it? I also assume that there is no foam sleeve of any sort, that slips over the motor? I have misplaced my instruction manual. Thanks in advance.
вы прекрасны
I just picked this vacuum up and am impressed with the quality of it so far. However, and I don't know if this has been asked before, but, how do you work the blow feature of this vacuum? TIA
No problem, it’s easy! Just remove the hose from the front hole and attach it to the back one. Hope that makes sense.
@@Jennyfromtheshop Thank You
When do I need to use the paper bag in the vacuum
When you’d like to contain and remove the debris inside the bag vs dumping it from the canister.
Can the same filter be used for wet and dry ?
Yes. The manual says it will become saturated after several tanks and misting might appear. I’d suggest having a backup for large jobs. The filter can be rinsed and left in the sun to dry before reinstalling.
@@Jennyfromtheshop Awesome, Thanks!
Hello, I’m thinking about getting this exact model but with the the more durable yellow hose. I knew absolutely nothing about a shop vac until I started considering which one to get for my house. This may sound like a crazy question, but being a female who knows nothing about them except what I’ve researched, why can’t I use one of those small cloth bags with the elastic bands as a filter to give more protection, for like cat fur mostly and regular home cleanup, for for example? It just seems to me that it would be wonderful for keeping cat fur out…so that I don’t have to change a bag so often.
Thank you so much for your help!
I totally see your line of thinking. So if you had this model or one like it, I’d suggest using the disposable paper filter with the hepa cartridge filter. (I forget if it’s blue or green? I did a separate video about filters.) In this video around 3:30, I show the paper filter for reference. I wouldn’t want to advise using something different in case, but you could maybe see? Also, I’m a crazy cat lady myself. 🙋🏻♀️😂
It wasn't clear to me, either in this video or in the manual, how to install the bag, or when you need to use it. Is there any need for the bag if you're only using the vac to dry out a wet carpet? If you don't use the bag, how do you prevent water from pouring out through the hole on the side of the bucket where the bag would have attached?
Hi! The bag is only for dry materials and in cases where people may want to contain the dust vs dumping the debris out straight from the canister. If you’re using this for wet applications, there’s a float that alerts you to the level. I have a few other videos with similar vacuums where I demonstrate the bag. It just pushes on where the debris comes into the tank.
ua-cam.com/video/VN9pkgpRPjk/v-deo.htmlsi=_8PSpWwR35pUPjG6This video around 4:30 shows a bag being installed. Hope that helps.
@Jennyfromtheshop Thanks for the quick reply!
No problem, I actually had to rewatch my video because I forgot what all I covered. I’m surprised I didn’t include a clip attaching the bag.
How does the blower work? What mob per hour speed
It's 5 horse power, 10 amps. To use the blower port, you just remove the hose from the front and plug it into the back.
Brill....going to get the wife one! Then won't be disturbing me any more watching tv😮
The box says “Drain Port with garden hose adapter for east drainage”. I don’t see that adapter in mine…
Hi Marc, my box is long gone but I’m looking at the manual and the enclosed contents. An adapter isn’t listed. I wonder if they meant you could do that if you buy an adapter?
I can’t figure out how to attach a picture, but the box says verbatim what I have in quotes above.
@@mrrphx Oh no, I believe you! Maybe reach out to DEWALT’s customer service? I didn’t have an adapter with mine either but that’s kind of misleading for them to include that on the box.
Another length of wand pipe would be nice so I am not bent over when vacuuming floors. Not good for anyone even close to or over 6' tall
I've never had that problem at 5'3" lol. You could probably borrow a section from another shop vac and add it to this? They seem pretty universal.
How many amps is the vac?
Hi Allan! It’s 10 amps. I said it quickly in the very beginning. Sometimes I talk a bit fast.
Does it need to have the bag in when using
No, it’s optional.
@@Jennyfromtheshop thanks I wasn't quite sure what was happening
I must not have explained it well enough, thank you for commenting. This is actually helpful feedback for me.
no, but the bag can keep the filter clean
Did not show how to install vac bag
You’re right, I don’t know why I didn’t include it. I show it in this video around the 4 min mark ua-cam.com/video/VN9pkgpRPjk/v-deo.htmlsi=WrFjqIAnu4NW2TTQ
not bias is she?
DeWalt is my favorite brand and Alton Industry paid me to put this instruction overview together as this is marked as such. However, I tell it like it is if there’s something I don’t like I say so. See my latest LED tape measure video.
