- We're back with another track car build! This time round, we’ve teamed up with Tegiwa Dealer and good friend of ours, Rob Baker, owner of Area Motorsport, to document his MK7 Volkswagen Golf GTI track build!
Alongside this build we've fittingly listed an extensive list of performance products for the VAG MQB chassis over on Tegiwa Euro, so this build is perfect timing! We’d like to give a big shout out to HPA Motorsports too, who’ve jumped on board this build with us - we’ll be installing all their parts in part 3 of the series so stay tuned for that!

The downpipe is a work of art, 😍!
Nice project 👌 look forward to seeing more of this build
Mega video! Loads of knowledge and experience from Rob at Area Motorsport 👌🏻 Looking forward to seeing the progress on this!
Amazing video 👌
Class video looking forward to seeing it develop!
amazing video, lots of info. Wish I watched these video before, bought intercooler and temps went up after couple minutes. Got racingline catch can and my car stopped smoke on corners but started smoking at idle.
Wow, this is like watching exactly what I did to my MkV GTI. I additionally did a full poly , frame collars, fully adjustable front / rear camber arms / plates and S3 aluminum spindles. I was going to go yellow speed but went YCW reference instead because of the custom Swift linear spring rates.
Awesome video dude ! Looking forward to see the progress ! Now u have a brazilian subscriber XD !
u got me subscribed for the next episode!
Just found your channel, looking to upgrade my 2018 PP soon. Subbed.
We're glad you liked the video! Stay tuned for more!
Awesome vid, you should also do the same with a civic!

You guys should also upgrade the bushings on the rear trailing arm. Makes the biggest difference
Has been changed, just not shown in this initial video. 👍
@@areamotorsport Awesome. I subcribed and will be waiting for the next episodes
@@areamotorsport Hey guys. Great video! Do you recommend the black series for the rear swing arm bushes? & why only the inner bush & not the outer too? thanks heaps
@5:39 are you using the road version or black track focussed powerflex mounts?
What about an Oil sump baffle? Thanks
Did you guys have any issues with CSF Radiator clearance with the HPA intercooler? I am currently driving a MK7 Golf R stage 3. I'm running a Wagner Intercooler and would like to buy the CSF Radiator and the CSF Auxiliary Radiators as well. Thanks

What yellow speed coil overs are they, there’s so so many different ones and I don’t know which ones to go for, I want yellow speed but which yellow speed one do I get
These are Dynamic Pro Sport coilovers, they offer the best ride for the road whilst still offering enough performance for the track.
@@tegiwa do you know what spring rate @areamotorsport had them changed to?
What’s the cost of all this? About 11k including FB labour?
Around £3300 ex for all the chassis parts, brake parts and catch can kit. Fitting would be around £625-£775 to give you a rough idea.
@@areamotorsport so with the turbo and components and seats etc it will come close to 10/11k?.. 4k for all the handling mods and brakes is decent.
l Mc it is turbo as standard 👍
@@areamotorsport i know, I thought there was a turbo in the parts section lmao😂😂😂 I didn’t watch it all my bad. One of those days
