    Great video all around. Especially liked your over-under water or split shots. Could you share what camera you used, and did you use a dome port to capture those. I've watched a lot of videos since we're heading there next year, but best I've seen so far.

      Thank you! I'm not sure if it had a name, just one of the many little inlets in the Taha'a lagoon, east of the resort maybe a 10 minute jetski ride

    Hi, I really enjoyed your video. I have some questions if you don't mind. Just out of the curiosity, how much this whole thing cost? was the whole thing like a package deal with/without air? Looks like the breakfast was included too so which hotel did you guys stay ? Which travel agency do I need to contact?

    • @LoveSetRun
      @LoveSetRun  Рік тому

      Hi, when we stayed at Le Taha'a we booked with a package deal that included breakfast. Flights were separate. The hotel we stayed at was called Le Taha'a. Their prices change all the time - no need to contact a travel agency, you can just look up the hotel. They won't cover airfare but they will provide a boat from the Raiatea airport both directions to the resort. Hope this helps!

    Damn if I want to be Chad I'm gonna have to cut my hair and hit the gym.
    Basically anyone can afford this vacation, though, it's actually very convenient from the west coast, and everything can be cheap if you stay anywhere other than an all-inclusive overwater bungalow resort. I paid $4500 for 2 people, 4 days, went everywhere and also stayed in the fancy hotels. I feel like it could be half that for the money-minded traveler, stay in a pension and eat in smaller restaurants, rent a scooter to get around instead of the taxis, and you save lots of money no problem. The tours will be a few hundred but they are worth it, I recommend one boat tour and one cultural island tour. Make sure to bring water shoes, snorkels, and lots of sunblock (which you will have to check on planes or they'll make you throw it out, and that would be very bad. Make sure you apply the sunblock liberally and religiously if you are light-skinned, or you will really, really regret it. And just don't go Bora Bora if money is a big anxiety for you.
    But yeah I'd say basically anyone with a job can do this honeymoon/vacation or something very close to it for a couple grand and it's absolutely worth it. If you've thought of French Polynesia as some super-remote difficult to get to expensive screen saver place, although it's physically far, the infrastructure and tourism industry is anything but third world and the flight is direct (because it has to be) and you don't need a visa, just a passport. The French government is pumping lots of money into it so it's extremely safe and pretty developed despite still having that small preindustrial island feeling. (If they decide to kick the French out the country will be *poor* poor, like Kiribati.)

    But locals should be understandable. It is obvious that you are a tourist and you are there to spend money so why should you be ashmed. I live in San Francisco and I hate the tourist riding on the mini scooters because they make so much noise but I am grateful that they are here because they are spending money in my city. I will definitely do the Jet Ski. If the locals have a problem with it I am sure that they can bring up their concerns to their local leaders.
