Taha'a

  • In November 2020, we were thankful that French Polynesia was one of the few places in the world open to travel. Having been there a few times, we picked a new island to explore called Taha'a. A 30 minute flight from Tahiti. Taha'a is less touristy and more remote than Moorea and Bora Bora and checked all of the boxes. When we arrived, it immediately captured our hearts and instantly became our favorite island in French Poly. This island is perfect for families due to the shallow lagoon and spacious bungalows. We would highly suggest doing the Jet Ski Tour through Tahaa Jet Tours as that was the highlight of our trip and the cheapest jet ski rental we have found anywhere we have traveled or in the United States. We hope to show others that might be timid to travel during Covid, it can be done safely. The remoteness of Taha'a is the perfect place to socially distance and feel free again. We realized that time is not going to wait for us.

    I should’ve gone to Tahaa instead of Bora Bora 😍 , if for nothing else but that stunning coral garden, never mind,next year hopefully. The kids were so cute having that welcome drink 😅

      Bora Bora is a must see. But I would pick Tahaa over Bora every single time.

    That was just 20 minutes of smiles for me! If that does not make families want to travel to Taha’a nothing can!!! Amazing job on the video. It really was nice meeting all of you even though it was so brief.

    What a great video. Joyous! My wife and I travelled these islands in 2009, we were in Taha a as a stop off before Bora Bora. All I can say is , for us Bora Bora wasn’t the highlight of our trip , these smaller islands with their amazing lagoons, people just blew us away. Love your video, love the fact you didn’t go for water Villa 🙄, loved your place on beach far more, the young boy getting soaked by wash on the boat Lol. Now that’s fun. Enjoy your lives guys . 👍👍🇬🇧

      Thank you so much. Tahaa was definitely our favorite of the 3 we've visited (Bora and Moorea) although all our special on their own way. Glad you enjoyed the video.

    Thanks for the Aloha When_A_Pig_Flys (for some reason I was unable to respond to your comment directly).Huahine was beautiful and in retrospect we wish we stayed a few more days to explore more of the island on our own. Of all the islands we visited , Huahine, followed by Raiatea felt like the most "authentic "Polynesian experience. If all goes well , we plan to return to Bora Bora the year. Tahaa/Coral Gardens was definitely the highlight of all the underwater experiences we had. Subbed!

      Thank you! You picked an amazing place for a honeymoon and hopefully the video gave you a sense of what to expect. Pictures and video will never do a place like this justice. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask.

    Hi there. Great video.
    1) What is the price for one person for boat excursion going from Uturoa, Raiatea
    island to Tahaa Coral Gardens ?
    2) How many hours is this trip and is lunch included ?
    3) Do they pick you up at your hotel ?
    4) What is the price for the sunset cruise from Uturoa, Raiatea and for how many
    hours ?

    • @bwoodpig
      @bwoodpig  Рік тому

      The boat transfer was included in the price of our stay at Le Tahaa Pearl resort which is also where the Coral Gardens are located. We did not do a sunset cruise.

    Toujours autant de _"nonos"_ sur les motus du nord et de l'ouest de Taha'a ? 😆😉

    Obviously, there aren't many who can afford to schlep a family of four to a beachfront cottage in Tahiti. What it would cost invested for 20 years would send those two boys to college.

      Thats funny. People would be shocked to hear how inexpensive this trip was. We certainly got lucky with some flexible timing, great flight deals, and resort special offers.. This trip was cheaper than Hawaii or what some families spend in Disneyland. Flights were cheaper, the cottage was equivalent to the price of a basic hotel in Hawaii (resort was offering a sale when we booked), there was no cost of a rental car, and kids meals were free. Most middle class families could afford this.

      Life is also about experiences and quality family time Miller. I have two college degrees and have been a financial planner for 28 years and I can GUARANTEE you the cost of that trip invested for 20 years would NOT put those two boys through college. The two are not mutually exclusive. Too bad you are such a grouch. It must be hard going through life with so much negativity. My parents are both highly educated. In addition to his undergrad degree my father has his masters and a doctorate degree. As a family we have also traveled all over the globe with them and with our grown children. Those memories are something you can't put a price on. Good for this young family!! We are definitely middle class. My mother was a nurse and my father a school administrator. My sister is a teacher. We've been to Europe numerous times. I wouldn't trade that lifetime of memories with my family for 100 stupid college degrees even though members of my family have collectively 10 of them!!! .... NOT A CHANCE.

    Hi ….was it too rainy overall for November?

    • @bwoodpig
      @bwoodpig  Рік тому

      Not at all. Its shoulder season in November so it really comes down to chance. But even when its rainy, it passes quickly and doesn't last all day or for multiple days.

    BGM is not good.
    Tahiti music is better than this music.
