Big props to this interviewer. Not sure I’ve seen an interview with Thomas Anderson, Day Lewis, nor Greenwood, where such relaxed attention is given to answers of such personalized questions. Bravo!
I've never heard *anyone* mention Passionate Friends, in any context! My mom bought a VHS of it from a discount shelf when I was away for college, and I watched it when home for the winter holidays. Its unusual story (thanks, H.G. Wells) and atmosphere insinuated their way into my consciousness and have stayed with me for decades. Also, I realized the brilliance of actor Claude Rains.
Question for Daniel Day Lewis: As a method actor, continuously in character, how do his tattoos affect his embodiment of a meticulous man such as Reynolds? Wouldn't they be likely to pull him away from Reynolds and back into himself as Daniel.
@@bobrossantichrisst Watch the movie, buddy. You know what I think. Watch it yourself, and have your own opinion. I think all these people are extremely talented. But this movie is slow, boring and pretentious. Plus, I thought Daniel Day Lewis was retiring from making movies.

I always thought it was Ed.
I’m always surprised by how high pitched and soft and meek Jonny’s speaking voice is.
Reminds me a lot of Florence Welch, honestly.
