      TurboGibby 2016 Its a good amp! My only complaint is that the “overdrive” isn’t really overdrive in the traditional sense, its just makes the sound of the bass louder and grittier, but aside from that its good!

    The Rumble 40 is lighter and more capability but obviously if price is your main factor than this one is perfectly fine.
    But they all have a volume knob so if you can afford it?
    Go Rumble 40 over 25 every day and also get all of the voicing options from vintage to bright and so on.
    Upgrade the speaker to a Basslite and shave 3-4 more pounds off of it and enjoy increased headroom and a slight bit of volume due to sensitivity and you can have a combo you can carry with a pinky that is great for practice and small open mic type of environments.
    Great review and yes the 25 for what it is, is solid.

    I have this amp and in my basement the acoustics are great I have a TC electronic BG 250 watt amp that I use for jamming this rumble was a replacement for my peavey pratice amp that I gave to my nephew I am alot happier with the rumble by far. Loud enough for where I live for sure, sounds great paired with a precission or my custom Toby bass. 130 bucks I could not say no!

    One suggestion ... put string little bit higher from fretboard. I know it's softer for fingers like this but there is to much noise strings hitting other frets. Rumble 25 ... believe me it's better than my Rumble 15. There is annoying sound like it's coming from a pipe but .. it's cheap

    • @VenancioPortalatin
      @VenancioPortalatin  7 років тому +4

      sajberkurajber0167 kinda happy with the action the way it is and it's actually higher then most keep it. It sounds like that because of my finger picking attack not my action. If I want a softer sound I pick lighter & roll off the tone knob a little.

    We both have the Rumble 25 and a Super Champ, though mine is just the XD. A friend of mine threw out if I wanted to learn bass for when his band’s bassist moves away later this year, so figured I’d give it a shot to see if I’d be interested. Grabbed the Rumble from a pawn shop today and the bass that I purchased off Reverb arrives tomorrow. As someone that plays both guitar and bass, any recommendations to get started with bass? Must have bass specific pedals, songs that help switch the mindset from guitar to bass, etc?

    I'm new to the bass and I'm on a limited budget what I want to know is would the fender rumble 25 amp be a compatible match with an ibanez sr300ipt bass I would most grateful for any advice thank you.

    • @humbermg
      @humbermg 4 роки тому

      Don't think it as a match between amps and basses. This is a good practice amp. If you want something to play with a drummer you might find it a bit lacking. But if you want something to practice in your house or be able to take it easily with a friend or on the gof it's great. Just got one of these and I am loving it. Would play a gig with it, but I use it to write on it and practice.
      Hope this helps. And keep practicing!

    Is there a way to shut that white noise electric sound it makes when U are just holding the strings, and not playing¿ On one of my bass guitars, I turned the volume nob all the way up and it stopped, but I'm getting a squire jaguar base guitar soon, and I don't think it will do the same as the one I have now. I don't know the brand of the one I have now, but it says Dean on it. I got it at a pawnshop just so I could start playing.

    • @ChiliDUDE27
      @ChiliDUDE27 6 років тому

      Firstly, love the username and picture. Secondly, the white electric noise you're talking about is probably interference. And if it's a cheaper bass (I've never heard of Dean) then it's probably a lack of shielding or a screwed up bridge-ground connection. Squier makes good instruments though, so I doubt it'll have the same problem.

    • @nathancote9865
      @nathancote9865 6 років тому

      Try a gate pedal. bit.ly/2w7fJEp Other than that, better electronics in your rig is key. Better cables, better amp with better circuitry, etc. Cheap electronics are always going to have some hum/buzz/white noise.

    Don't buy this amp it sucks it's a really good sounding amp but it has a Power supply issue I Bought one and I'm already on the 2nd one And I'll probly have to replace this one too because it's already starting to go out. It sounds ok the first mouth but then the amp just starts to lose power literally it sound amazing one mouth then the next the power supply Overheats and Slowly wears out to the point to where it sounds like the speaker is busted but The speakers fine And also you can't turn the mid or trouble up too high because it'll where the amp out even Faster if you want the app to last as long as possible you can't turn the mid or the trouble up only the base in the Volume only a hair This amps volume knob goes from can't hear it to to damm loud When the power supply starts to go out you have to turn on the over drive to even give it enough power to use it before it just quits
