im in quite a big struggle between the Fender Rumble LT25 and the Orange Crush Bass 25, the orange sounds a bit better i think but the versatility of the LT is also very appealing
I own the Fender Rumble LT25 and I play an Ibanez SR300 and i was forever trying to get a good sound from these 2 items together. I dont believe the LT25 works well with an active bass due to all the digital presets. I finally set the amp setting in 01 Studio Clean & removed the Stomp and EQ and set everything else (LOW< MID< HIGH) to 5.5 (which is 12 o'clock) and keep the Gain at 6 and the volume at 8.5. I set the Ibanez with everything at 11:00 and play it on passive. I finally bought a Fender 50 with none of the preset sounds and love my Ibanez now. Now just have to get a passive guitar to play on the Rumble lol.
I sent my SR300 back the same day I received it. Bad tone. For a slight upcharge I got into a slightly loved SR1300. Wow. Night and day difference in tone, feel, looks, quality.
MAN!! That Ashdown is SWEET!! I'm instantly falling in love with it . I've never seen such a cool looking bass amp like this before. Especially a cool looking meter!!!
Ashdown makes some nice sounding bass amps for sure. Using the Apptek connector allows all the great music iOS apps to color the tone. They work nice as a guitar amp too. The drive button makes a pop when activated so it's not seamless. You can't really switch it live, it's more of a set it and forget it but clean or driven the amp sounds good at any volume setting. I've had a Vintage AAA 12 for five plus years and it hasn't given me any issues at all.
Cesar Machado oh yeah. I’ve got an orange 35rt amp and the dirty channel in it is literally the best distortion I’ve ever played. I don’t even use my boss dsi or tube screamer anymore.
If I was forced to buy a new practice amp, it would be that Fender Rumble. Usually I prefer the used market. Lately I was searching for a reliable amp for band rehearsal, I found a Peavey TNT130 for just 100 euros which I call a deal.
Nice review! I think the modeling Fender's are way better for bass than for guitar. And i am a guitarrist. But this Fender Rumble LT 25 has a awesome sound! Im divided to buy one of those or to buy a Peavey Max 100. Cheers from Portugal 🍺🤘 Cheers from Portugal 🍺🤘

I don't know how similar the pickups are to a spanish style electric, but you may need to lower your pickups. Pickups being too close to the strings will make a guitar sound muddy, set them too far away and they sound thin.

Squiers can be GREAT instruments but that one desperately needs a better setup in my opinion (at least for that kind of aggressive picking).
Yeah, first thing I heard. Not setup properly and that of course colours the sound of the amps, so yes, not a fair assessment of the bass or amps. Speaking of tuners, the bass could use a little better tuning - again effecting the sound, especially the double- and triple-stops. Any bass amp with less than 100 watts (SS) is going to be drowned out by the guitars every time. I make the cutoff at 200 wattts based on 40 years experience. Headroom and dynamics are a great thing. Get out there and look at good used gear. You get a lot more for your money. My eden stack has been in my posession for 15 years and works fine and was used before I bought it along with this used QSC 825 watt power amp that is heavy but cheap and LOUD. Used gear is great. Dont but beat up and abused garbage! Look at who is doing the selling, is he a musician or a fool? If you can fingd them old used Peavy TNT bass amps, especially with the Black Widow speakers were nice amps in their day and reasonably loud. They last forever and many can be bi amped together, massive. I have seen them sell cheap in the classifieds. The 300 watt Carvin combos make nice first amps and generally cost less than some of these 60 watt combos. Dont fool yourself, these cheap combos he is pimping wont sell for beans once used. Buy used and get the use from the amp and resell it for nearly what you paid for it. A quick search on reverb showed 2 fender rumble 100 combos for $100 and $125. CHEAP. Peavy TNT 1 x 15" 130 amp for $125.. THese amps will be servicable untill you get better gear. I even fouund a Galien Kreuger RB700 combo 2 x 10 for $100. How can you beat that? Buy USED GEAR. Nothing wrong with clean bass amps, buy a fuzz or distortion pedal used if you want that breakup but dont limit your search based on that. Your taste in music will likely change as you grow older and musical trends and sounds change as well. amps need to be versitile, especially if you plan to resell it. A slap bassist migh want tu buy it and an amp that breaks up will limit the possible buyers.
I have a VT-22 Ampeg tube bass head (100 watts) and that son of a bitch is quite loud. My CL-300 (300 watts) makes guitarists cry. I think you need to judge the amp by how it sounds in the mix of things. I've got S.S. stuff that's rated 700-1000 watts and I've got my Ampegs....I tend to go with my tubers every time when I'm out. Just my opinion.
is it just my ears or does Orange amps just sound pretty average to anyone else? i mean they dont sound terrible but they dont sound great either, well not to my ears, the orange should sound better than the fender modelling amp that had digital effects, but to my ears he got better tones from the fender using digital presets than he did from the orange which really shouldn't be happening. to me the fender amp on the studio clean preset was the best sounding tone out of all the amps here.
maybe its just personal preference i just really dont like the flavor of tone from the orange it sounds a little muffled to me like its had the life sucked out of the tone a bit. maybe some people like that type of tone and thats why they use orange amps, i take it they just aren't for me but they may be for you so take my comment with a grain of salt and try them out for yourself.

Correct
Peavey amps, specially TNT 100 have a distinctive tone and used blue ribbon are rare to find. Great amps on 90s and not so expensive
What bass strings do you guys use? I’m a boomer man
LaBella Deep Talkin' Bass strings .045 - .105 Stainless Steel Flat Wounds 760FS-TB standard long scale for through body bridges (Fender Precision)
I like all different brands. My current favourite are DR Pure Blues.
None of these amps are "cheap" in Australia!
Jason A Collis the Fender is $300. That’s pretty cheap.......
Elfelectric laughs in poor
300 USD si a Lot of Money in My country so... All is relatively
Ashdown do more than bass amps.... they make guitar amps, acoustic amps, pedals, headphones and now even basses.
Who the hell was clicking a pen all through the video?
is it just my ears or does Orange amps just sound pretty average to anyone else? i mean they dont sound terrible but they dont sound great either, well not to my ears, the orange should sound better than the fender modelling amp that had digital effects, but to my ears he got better tones from the fender using digital presets than he did from the orange which really shouldn't be happening. to me the fender amp on the studio clean preset was the best sounding tone out of all the amps here.
maybe its just personal preference i just really dont like the flavor of tone from the orange it sounds a little muffled to me like its had the life sucked out of the tone a bit. maybe some people like that type of tone and thats why they use orange amps, i take it they just aren't for me but they may be for you so take my comment with a grain of salt and try them out for yourself.
Orange amps are amazing for Doom Metal.
I don’t want a bass amp with a computer screen, I just want decent tone. I want my bass amp to sound like bass. Is that too much to ask?
they don't all have screens. problem solved
Even the ones with computer screens got decent tone and sound like bass, it isn't too much to ask because u already have it with these options.
Btw...that Ashdown is a collector's item now
