I like that you mentioned middle is a fun age to homeschool. I was a teacher before I stayed home with my kids. When I student taught I was assigned middle school and I thought it was going to be the worst but I loved it the most.
They are young enough to do a lot of the fun silly things but old enough to have real conversations that are thought provoking.

My oldest homeschooled middle school and it was SO critical in many ways - how to handle HS, finding the cracks, ensuring the Word of God BEFORE high school. Yes! 🙌🙌

Thanks for this! My oldest two are in 6th grade and I already feel like my younger kids are missing out on all the fun we had in those younger grades because I'm spending more time with the bigger kids' longer lessons!!

Definitely do the video on why you feel middle is the most important time to homeschool. I would love to see that. But also, I have the same opinion and am curious as to your conclusions.

I appreciate you mentioning the *hormones* It has definitely been a big part of the changes in homeschool; it affects me and my other kiddo. Yes! Grace. Yes! Patience. But it’s a challenging aspect. Thanks for reassuring me that it’s not just me!

Thank you for this! I felt some stress come over when my son moved into sixth grade this year and I've been schooling him since kindergarten at home.

I am so thankful to homeschool my daughter who is also in 6th grade. I have friends who are telling me their daughters are already struggling in jr high (6th graders) and this is only the 2nd week in. Makes me sad for them. Thank you for sharing!!

Our oldest is in 8th grade and I have A LOT of feels of seasons I guess is really the best way to put it! We have preschool-to- 8th grade and this may be our last preschooler :( I put a sad face, but I am trying to embrace the seasons LORD JESUS has given me! We have a lot we want to do with the children LORD willing as they all grow bigger like traveling the states and doing things that in the baby season is very difficult. Our 8th grader is doing high school science and english and one 1/2 elective credit this year. It is a transition of really being diligent about test scores and records for me and her. In her younger years she had quizzes and tests but this is pretty hard core recording and being responsible on her own. She was ready for it though and her attitude about school is A LOT better with more independence her "grades" are also better especially with math.
It is really fun this year having so many in different age groups having a large family. I do like family schooling as a whole, and next year I'm probably going to combine my younger two with my older two (not our oldest) in things like science history ect I find the little ones sticking around for their big brothers science and health even though I had picked out gentler things for them.
LORD JESUS is KING of kings and LORD of lords

Video request for how to do a high school transcript and do we need to do one with a dual enrollment/accredited program? It's so intimidating and the college isn't very helpful!

Was it harder to get your boys to work independently? Around what age did they get that mastered? Asking because my 7 year old wants mama and will not work independently even though I know the course work is the right level.

I have two boys 8 and 7 and they are sooo differnet in learning style and independence! Our 8 year old is super independent and would do all of it on his own if I let him, while our 7 year old is still super dependent on me to help him with directions and way more explaining. And it is all on his level to. I really do think it's personality and perhaps reading comprehension level.
      LORD JESUS guide!
