"Half of my life looks like this, just trying to keep him from crying..." I hear you, oh boy do I hear you. My 7 month old is exactly the same. It's comforting to know I'm not alone.
4:23 love how his tongue is sticking out the whole time hes crawling! 😊 I also you appreciate you showing jacksons grumpy moments. Makes me feel better about me and my baby so thank SO much!
Hahaha his tongue is alwayssss sticking out lol it’s the cutest! And omg yes! He’s a happy baby but he has his grumpy moments too! And don’t even get me started on Riley 😂🤦🏼♀️ you’re doing great mama!
He’s definitely teething! But the clinginess is something that happens around 6-7 months because they start feeling separation anxiety! Love the updates! My jaxson just turned 6 months on the 17th and hes got his two bottom teeth now. The second they finally poked through, his teething pain quit! But man the whole two months before they came up, he was miserable! 💕
Jackson is doing so well!😁 So cute when he sticks his tongue out to the side while crawling! My son also makes a beeline for my phone whenever I set it down. I noticed you mentioned the blanket from Lovevery. I've been hearing about that a lot lately. Would you consider doing a video about it? When you started it, why you started it, how you feel about it, and any favorite/least favorite items you use?
I think since jackson is going to sleep around 7:30 he is waking up around 5 or 6 which is like 10-11 hours of sleep which is not bad! the only advice is to push his bedtime a bit back if you want him to wake up a little later! my baby is 4 months right now and his bed time is at 10 and wakes up at 9am because I like to sleep in just a *tad* haha
My kid was like that when she was a baby and let me tell her her temper is still there. However she’s is smart and headstrong and now that she is 6 it’s wonderful to see her be her own little person ❤️
He is so cute!! 😊 one thing that could be contributing to short or unpredictable naps is when he comes to sleep with you after waking up I think. I have read that sometimes babies can confuse that little bit of extra sleep as a nap almost. The fb group respectful sleep training/ learning has tons of good resources for troubleshooting sleep issues. Highly recommend it!!
I swear our little ones are always in the same place! my daughter is two days older then jackson and has been the exact same way just fussy and clingy CONSTANTLY it’s draining and I feel horrible that I can’t console her at times. her naps have gone back to being half an hour at most I know there is a 8 month sleep regression so maybe it’s the start of that? i’m hoping it’s just teething and will be over soon 😩 jackson is so freaking cute btw!
I am glad to hear that sleep training has worked with Jackson that gives me confidence as I will start sleep training my son next month he's 3weeks younger than Jackson and he has been so clingy these days and only sleeps in my arms 😔 hopefully sleep training will work for us as well 🤞🙏
My baby is 7months this month and has yet to even master flipping 🙁 , she does on occasion but it's bit of a struggle 😹. On the plus side she sits really well and has already learnt to say mama, hi Dad, hello, bye, yeah and wow
Omg...I find u answer the questions in my head while watching, like when u explained how u helped him to sit up🥰. What is the toy he's sitting & playing with...yes my baby is 5 months tomorrow. We got her a tablet this past weekend & she loves it cuz she loves our phone.
Jackson seems to be ahead on milestones! My 7 month old, can’t sit by himself for longer than about 1 minute before falling over. He also can’t crawl yet either, but working on it! Jackson is so cute! 💙
Hi Kayla! I’m happy I was awake to see your upload. I’m trying to teach my 7 mo to sleep on her own. She’s breastfed and wants to sleep in my bed AND nurse all night. I would put her in her pack and play and try to sleep train her but I’m weak! Lol. I can’t bear to hear her cry and am waiting for the day that she sleeps on her own. YOU GIVE ME STRENGTH to sleep train. Lots of love from Guam! 🇬🇺
Jackson is an absolute cutieee! Love watching how much he's grown and changed over the past 6 months. My little boy is now 4 months old! How time flys 😭 where did you get Jackson's teethers from? Xx
I feel as though a rocking chair is unnecessary. Most moms typically use it during the newborn stage and to put them to sleep but you’re sleep training and he’s older now so I just feel that you wouldn’t get much use out of it.
Wow little man Jackson is making some milestones now!! Love that he is sleeping longer at nite so you and Joe can get some rest. Love seeing your two kiddos!!! They are so cute!!!
Hi Kayla, I really like your videos! My baby is 5 months old and I have been sleeping him on his back. Do you sleep Jackson on his back or on his tummy? how do you prevent flat head if sleeping on his back? I know that tummy time helps. any suggestions? thanks in advance!!!
Mine will be 8 months on the 1st and is also army crawling all around. Today he discovered the stairs 🤦♀️ also, moody is definitely a word to describe my dude too. You definitely have to catch him in the right mood for the floor, bouncer, play pen.... 🙃 I also have a dude who will not sit. He just flops himself all around every time we practice. He just wants to crawl!
Wait! Crawling, for real? Get out your roller skates! Jackson + Riley = Catch Me If You Can. LOL Kayla, some babies just get heat rashes in the summer, especially from hot & humid weather. It could be that. Even if you have A/C, you will notice that ice cubes in your beverages still melt more quickly in the heat and there is still condensation on the outside of the beverage vessel. So, the air is not totally emptied of all vestiges of heat or humidity and our bodies react to that, too. So, tummy time is now tushy time so that he can learn how to sit up on his own reliably. Well, he's not quite crawling, but close. He's still dragging his legs behind him and not up on his knees for locomotion yet. But, he is a hair's breadth away. When those knees start to propel him you will know because they will give him huge momentum. LOL He is moving in the direction of all table foods with puree pouches saved for snacks in places where you don't want him to be able to create a mess. He will get there soon. Don't apologize for doing the combo. Most of us do. I don't think I know anyone who does only one or the other, except they grow out of baby food purees pretty quickly, except as snacks or a supplement to a meal, like maybe a fruit dessert. Really, I cannot name anyone, other than you with Riley, who went all one way or the other due to practicality. But you are at least embracing your fear and enjoying the fun part of watching a child discover food on all its levels. Frankly, fear will be with you until the day you die that something terrible could happen to them that you can't prevent or fix. There is no way out of it once you have children: born to you or adopted. It matters not. You never get rid of the inner terror. You have to learn to live with it and function anyway and find the joy in your child learning from its uncle or auntie how to climb a tree. Broken limbs on trees or people are not good things, but they happen and are generally reparable, and we cannot prevent them having a normal life experience and then act like we have been virtuous parents. Babies with mirrors are a hoot, which is why a lot of playmats have mirrors on them for tummy time. It keeps them looking up and ahead. But, look at his face and final noise after you pick him up out of the saucer thingy. He is not crying, as in distress. It is a yowl of complaint. No tears. Grumbling. Sometimes he may have to grumble and entertain himself. Though, there are times when they are teething and such that they do need extra comforting. But he was just noise-making to see what you'd do. You hung around the saucer to see what he'd do. Had you walked off to the kitchen and maybe talked to him from there while you did something, he might have played with something. It's hard to say. But he does his share of grumbling about not liking something that is not the same as crying out of need. And he will do more of it when it is successful every time he lets out a peep and he gets what he wants. He needs to know you are there for him, but if you are working in the kitchen he knows you are around because he can see and hear you at that distance. He does seem like his gums are bothering him today. He's not cranky. His mouth hurts. Let him chew. I would be crying if I had teeth breaking through my gums whenever they wanted. It is clear he likes to play unencumbered on the floor without being contained in something. It is also clear that he goes back to sleep better, in his crib or in your bed, if he is already relaxed from sleep and not going into it from wakefulness or stress due to knowing sleep time is coming. Did you cut him down to 3 naps only and try to keep him up for closer to 3 hour stretches of time? That could be a big nap benefit for him. I am not on Instagram, so will only get to see things that are shared or addressed on UA-cam.
He’s a cutie!!! 😍😍 my baby is a few weeks younger than him and she just doesn’t like tummy time nor does she even use her hands when put down, how did you get Jackson to be such an active and a mobile baby? Help plz!
I cried watching Jackson crawl 😭 It's ok to get freaking emotional, I do everyday. My daughter is almost 6mo now and the milestones she's achieving everyday is amazing 😘😍
He is growing so fast....❤Still remember his newborn days like yesterday. I got the nostalgic feelings about Rylie's 7 months. What a handsome baby boy you have 👶❤ bless you all.
My daughter didn't crawl "correctly" like ever lol. She would put one knee on the floor and then drag the other leg when she crawled and she would move SO fast! What's funny is that now that she's almost 2 and walks and pretty much runs, now when she does crawl, she does it right 😂 so you never know! That may be his way of crawling!
Sorry just asking, it doesn’t mean to offend you. Does everything okay with her now? Because I heard crawling properly is good for kid motor skill. Sorry a new mom here.
@@SweetPeachannel Never heard of it but my nephew used to do the same he used to drag himself as his way of crawling lmfao he’s likes 7 now and he seems pretty normal to me lol
I need help!!!! My 7 month old is having trouble sitting, holding bottle and crawling. I think it’s partly me because he didn’t like tummy time so I didn’t do it as much but I’m worried now because he can’t sit up
Are you continueing sleep training with all the fuss. We are teething to and cranky and our sleep training went right out the door I’m scared all the progress we mad is ruined??
I felt that when you said it’s kind of a mess but you have two kids. I be feeling the same way , but then I’m like it’s fine I have three babies lol no one knows unless they’re in it
My mistake was carrying my 3rd child to much frm birth made him very clingy. My 2 older ones we didnt carry them as much as we did our 3rd. So idk maybe just limiting carrying him will help. Good luck.
Please try Tubby Todd’s all over ointment for his eczema it works like MAGIC! My daughter started baby led weaning at 6 months and her cheeks started to get eczema from the food. We tried everything but medical ointments like anything steroidal I refuse to put on my daughter . Then I bought tubby Todd and omg within one day!! Cleared !!!! Give it a try ! Much love from California !
My son is almost 6 months he use to do long hour naps even 2-3 hours then his sleep regression hit and now he never naps past 30-45 minutes 😅😅😅 I feel your pain momma
Hi Kayla, love your videos. Can u tell me at what age Riley started taking longer naps. As my 3 Months old also take 30-45 min naps. Don’t know when it will get better.
My daughter is 8 month but looks like 4 month...I m really worried...I tried many things but failed..whenever anyone see her they told me about her weight..I feel so helpless😭
@Lexie Pie thanks!! I went to the doctor and she said babies his age should crawl without belly touching the ground by now. Cause he's only been slithering like a snake and she said he's under developed
Thảo Vũ Phương My 8 month old army crawls on his belly too. You’re good! The doctor told me she doesn’t expect full crawling this early when he went the other day for an allergy test.

Hahahah whatever keeps them entertained 😆
Kayla Buell exactly 😄
Not a question about Jackson, but can you do a hair tutorial on this style?! It’s soooo beautiful! Probably super easy... but I suck at hair haha

Some babies never do it and go straight to walking :)
love these monthly videos!
he s so good crawling 👏👏👏 . way ahead . good job Jackson

Should I be concern that my 8mo baby hasn't crawl without his belly touching the ground? He's been slithering since 5mo ish

Ughhhhh I think I might not lol his hair’s started growing in a lot faster now so I might just let it be 😊
Kayla Buell YES!! I was worried about you guys shaving his cute little head pls Let it be🥰🥰
When you stopped burping Jackson?
So cute! I hate to criticize, but screen time really isn't a good idea at this age... Seems like Riley watches a tablet a lot during your videos.
Keep it to yourself she's doing what works best for her and her family no need to say anything especially since you "hate to criticize"
Her kids are super smart and hitting all their milestones. I don’t think the screen is hurting them at all.
Every baby cheeks are like old people cheeks.SORRY
Plz talk less
He is teething I reckon. Hurt when they come, hurt when they go!!! Bongela is good. He is so adorable and cute.
