Ugh this made me bawl, especially at the part about seeing the world through your child’s eyes and the very end when you were putting him down for the night. They grow so fast. My last baby is 10 months old and I’m still shocked she is already almost one. I’m trying to soak every minute I can with her. It’s so bittersweet.
He is such a sweet and chill baby. My baby is almost 7 m.o and she doesn’t sit still. Always rolling, crawling around the house and chewing everything, talking and screaming😂

We stopped being able to use a changing table with my son around 4 months, he was just way too active and refused to sit still ever.
I had the whole set up too, and never really got to use it.

In all seriousness, thank you so much for posting this!!! I’ve been wanting to do less screen time for my baby boy but didn’t know what to do. So this gave me great inspiration!
Girl same 🤣🤣 I’m lucky if my nearly 7 month old naps longer than 40 minutes.
Yeah, I was thinking 'wow that's a lot of sleep!' I never experienced that. My kids at that age did about about an hour for both naps.

Pay very close attention to appropriate wake times for his age. Putting him down too early or too late can both have the same effect: poor nap quality.
Also, usually babies who sleep one sleep cycle and wake up (30-40 minutes) don't have the ability to self soothe. They become slightly more conscious as they convert sleep cycles, but babies who can't self soothe will wake up entirely. This is a learned skill. If our little guy goes 1-2 sleep cycles, we don't go in his room right away. We give him about 15 minutes to work it out.
Haha same! my second daughter literally cat napped from 2 months old up until 9 months old. However, she started sleeping through the night on her own 6-8 hours from 2 months old, and slept all the way through 10+ hours at 9 months. She was breastfed up to 12 months old and co-sleeps in our room still at 18 months old. :)
