  • Hey there, it's Tim, and today I'm taking the Splach Thunder electric scooter for a spin. I'll be sharing my personal thoughts and experiences with you in this review, so if you're considering an electric scooter, stick around!
    In this video, I'll be covering the following key points:
    Impressive Power: The Splach Thunder is equipped with twin 800-watt motors, giving it a total of 2400 watts. I'll be testing its speed, and trust me, it doesn't disappoint.
    Long-lasting Battery: With a 15.6 amp-hour battery, this scooter offers plenty of range for your city commutes.
    Puncture-Resistant Tires: I really appreciate the 9-inch by 3-inch puncture-resistant tires that provide a smooth ride and handle bumps with ease.
    Braking Options: The scooter comes with both mechanical and electronic brakes, allowing you to use the motor for braking, which is super convenient.
    Weight and Portability: I'll show you how easy it is to fold the scooter into a compact package. It weighs around 60 lbs, making it portable and easy to carry.
    Impressive Lighting: The Splach Thunder's lighting system is fantastic, with indicators and a front light at the perfect height for night riding.
    User-Friendly Display: The full-color display provides essential information on speed, distance, and battery levels, even in bright sunlight.
    Smart Features: I'll reveal a unique feature-the scooter has a secret spot for an Apple AirTag, so you can keep your scooter secure.
    Easy Maintenance: I'll share a tip on how easy it is to replace the scooter's tire, thanks to a smart design.
    Big Guy Approved: In conclusion, I'm giving the Splach Thunder a resounding "big guy approved" status, praising its power, suspension, and overall performance.

    I love more manufacturers are putting the quick disconnect cables. It's brilliant and I think (and hoping) it'll become a standard. It makes life SOOO much easier!

    👉I just wanted to say that I really enjoy reviews, because I'm 62 and 300 lb, not like the other reviewers who are short little dudes that are scrawny and skinny. For instance, you always mention if the handlebar height is tall enough for someone that is 6 ft plus. I'm looking to purchase the solar scooter, out of the solar FF light or the solar P1 pro. Have you done any reviews on the solar scooters??

    • @TimsElectric
      @TimsElectric  Місяць тому

      Awesome to hear from you @firstinlastout, I haven't tried Solars before...I have reached out to them but I'm guessing my channel isn't big enough for them to send me a review unit :(...at 6'2" I would definitely test ride a scooter...put it in a braking situation and see what it's like ..not just for height but weight too...stay safe and thank you :)

    Great review Tim. What a smart idea to cut some cost by using mechanical brakes + regen in order to include the quick-disconnect motors and still keep the price low. This is the only way it's acceptable to still use tubes in 2023/2024 (as long as it's also a split-rim design). I'm also loving the metallic colour-anodized throughout so there's no paint to chip. I have to say though, the stem looked really low for you, to the point where it seems unsafe. At 6'2" this would be a dealbreaker for me unfortunately. When are Chinese manufacturers going to get wise that North American customers are usually a lot taller?

    Aye tim! make review on the new nanrobot LS7+ 72 volt model that scooter looks so good even better at night time the lighting & maybe that new nanrobot N6 72 volt model says goes like 50 mph weighing about 80 some pounds. I think they both now come with KKE type adjustable knob suspension more comfortable then that standard coil shock absorber that you adjust with coil spanner 🔧

    • @TimsElectric

      Awesome @JulianRides, I need to check it out..I was disappointed with the first Nanrobot I tried....72V sounds like a blast though

      @@TimsElectric has more range too stated to go 81 miles but not sure if that's accurate. The one that's a 60volt is pretty pathetic unacceptable for the price range to for the mileage of 45 miles.

    Ok Tim, I know you do kind of light reviews but still have a few questions.
    The tire you replaced was it split or the "puncture resistance" was inadequate?
    I'm assuming it was tubeless?
    52 volt vs 48 volt. assuming allows more power to be used or less overheating under load?
    No mention of the suspension which is a rubber bushing type. since you were maxing out the weight limit
    were you bottoming out the suspension or riding low where you hardly had any travel?
    Couldn't find a decent picture of the control set up/handlebars not even on their website.
    Guess still waiting on more info for this.

    • @TimsElectric
      @TimsElectric  10 місяців тому

      Awesome @tomprevost2477, thanks for your questions :)
      If you send me an email I can send you a photo of the setup :)
      The tire was a split rim...and I suspect it was a pinched flat (sometimes called a snakebite)
      The reason was that it wasn't properly inflated and it was squeezed against the rim. My mistake :)
      Yes the 52V has more power but not massively different (52 to 48 only 4 volts) 60V would be a big difference.
      You're right and the follow-up on the scooter will mention the suspension...I liked it...smooth ...no issues :)
      Thanks for watching :)
      Cheers
      Tim

    Post your range or its just a infomercial.

    • @TimsElectric
      @TimsElectric  8 місяців тому

      Awesome @AlanClelland, but sadly if I posted a tire change video it would get almost no views which sadly negatively impacts the channel and the range test is done in the second video later once I've had time on the unit to test it out thoroughly. At that time I'll have a range test and expectations of the unit...things I like and don't like....it's the way I roll :)
