I have a Yadea G5. Only had it 6weeks. But I agree that the drop off to eco mode when the battery is low is dangerous. I recently derestricted the bike to see how it performs. The eco mode went to 29mph and normal was only 47mph on the flat. So no gains really, except.... when the battery got low it went to eco mode of 29mph. Which I felt was much safer. @Gerry S.S well I mean I feel like they still culturally have more in common with the Mediterranean but yeah I know right. I often forget that if you're Jewish you can just claim citizenship there and go live there quite easily. Also, the current presidential administration has much less sympathy for Israel than Trump's did. Unsurprising given Obama's Israel policy while he was in office with Biden previously. I wonder what's going to happen with must of the west turning on Israel over their Palestine policies.
Hi! What insurance company provides insurance for niu mqi + sport? I have found only Lexham and MCE for the price of 670-1300 GBP/ year! Is it true to cost so much?
To me it seems that the underseat battery takes up space where there would usually be storage, so I was wondering how big is the underseat storage, and if I take put the underseat battery to increase storage how will that affect the range
I have a standard Niu Uqi Pro. In the same black and red colours, I love it! I just wish it had slightly faster top speed and more range. I'm tempted on maybe upgrading to the Uqi GT Pro next year.. 🤔
This really appeals to me except for the lack of space under the seat. I would much prefer both of the batteries to be under the feet, or at least the seat battery somewhere else.
Thanks a lot for the detailed and honest opinion about the scooter. One thing I wanted to ask is my home is on top of a hill. You mentioned that the ride sets a limit to protect the battery at 15%. Do you think I'll have trouble if I buy an electric scooter if I can't go uphill at let's say 20~25% a quarter battery left and cant go uphill? Btw it's around $1k in South Korea for your model. I know it's a baragain(gov subsidy to promote e-commerce) but setting aside the price, will I be able to get home that is on top of a steep hill (as steep as the brick rode in your video) with quarter of battery left?
could you tell us more about consumption... Is it worth the price to save gas and service money that otherwise a normal gas combustion scooter 150cc, 200cc will need?
Given the price of gas now, definitely. Also save time and gas looking for gas station as you can charge while in office, at home or if you have spare batteries, just swap
Great review! It's probably out of my price range, but I would hope to have one someday. I'd pair it with my new truck I have ordered, the Ford maverick. As for Lane splitting, I'd say its beyond my skill level, but I don't have an issue with anyone who does practice it.
im saving up for one. currently using a kick scooter and the measly 32kmh is not enough and the torque is not good enough for the 2 steep hills i have to ride coming back from work. all i need is the lowest license for scooters.
but what if this moped scooter run out of battery midway into home? theres no way u can carry this thing to the train, it weight 100kg! how are you gonna charge it?
Todah Rabah, Great video... I remember swarms of scooters around our tour bus in Tel Aviv so I'm sure your bike fits right in. I have a People S 200 that is quite handy and economical.
The batteries have a minimum life of 5 years, and they are under warranty for 2 years. However, that does not mean that after 5 years, the batteries die, they simply lose their ability to charge to 100%. You might only be able to charge to 90% after 5 years, for example. It terms of the cost, I estimate between 2500$ and 3000$ Canadian. A bit less in USD. Hope this helps.
Hey, Micah. Isn't this an NQi GTS Sport, not an NGT? The 14" wheels are part of the newest models that one can't buy yet at, for example College Scooters in College Park, MD or Twist'n'Scoot in Atlanta?
I’m getting one of these! NIU makes these for Revel & Lime (custom paint jobs), & I’m like...why rent them & be limited when I can just own one straight from the original manufacturer! I currently ride a Citycoco 🛵 & love it, Phat Scooter 🛵 is up next...then niu! 😆
Thanks for a great review. I wonder if anything's changed in two years -- lower prices? Lighter batteries? Longer range? Also, I'm looking forward to the Japanese players jumping into this game -- Yamaha, Honda, Suzuki, etc. Somehow I have more faith in their quality and customer support, but maybe I'm old fashioned.

What about when it rains ? What about ice and snow ? Freezing cold (no heat) ? When it’s blazing hot ( no AC) ? Not to mention sooo many more downsides, in fact, too many to delve into here. Even if it, or any 2 wheeled vehicle were free to buy, and zero to operate...way too many limitations and compromises for me to consider as a practical commuter. And yea...ALL ARE UNSAFE!

How would this compare to the 2x as expensive Vespa Elettrica which has pretty much identical specs?
To me it seems that the underseat battery takes up space where there would usually be storage, so I was wondering how big is the underseat storage, and if I take put the underseat battery to increase storage how will that affect the range
I have a standard Niu Uqi Pro. In the same black and red colours, I love it! I just wish it had slightly faster top speed and more range. I'm tempted on maybe upgrading to the Uqi GT Pro next year.. 🤔
Please, can anybody here describe what kind of baterry is used in it? Will it be available 7 years later for replacement and how much it cost?
Can I get your recommendation for an electric motorbike that can run also on the highways?
SHANA TOVA...
Once again, nice job. Makes me want to move to Tel Aviv ! ;-)
battery you can purchase with high capacity to replace original standard battery that you can capable go far further
im saving up for one. currently using a kick scooter and the measly 32kmh is not enough and the torque is not good enough for the 2 steep hills i have to ride coming back from work. all i need is the lowest license for scooters.
but what if this moped scooter run out of battery midway into home? theres no way u can carry this thing to the train, it weight 100kg! how are you gonna charge it?
Do you still own the scooter? If so, would you recommend buying a used one?
Brother you should also check simple mark and ika scotter simple mark has 236 km range
Do you need a license and register with DMV?
Waiting for this review every day ;)
Todah Rabah, Great video... I remember swarms of scooters around our tour bus in Tel Aviv so I'm sure your bike fits right in. I have a People S 200 that is quite handy and economical.
Is this Lithium Ion?
Yes
what is the battery life expectancy before you need to replace them ? and how much do the replacement batteries cost?
The batteries have a minimum life of 5 years, and they are under warranty for 2 years. However, that does not mean that after 5 years, the batteries die, they simply lose their ability to charge to 100%. You might only be able to charge to 90% after 5 years, for example. It terms of the cost, I estimate between 2500$ and 3000$ Canadian. A bit less in USD. Hope this helps.
@@raymondcasola8932 just like any other battery powered tool loses its charge faster
Price????
Isn’t it legally required to lane split in somewhere
Do you need a license for the electric scooter? (asking from europe)
Hey, Micah. Isn't this an NQi GTS Sport, not an NGT? The 14" wheels are part of the newest models that one can't buy yet at, for example College Scooters in College Park, MD or Twist'n'Scoot in Atlanta?
This is technically the NQi GT Pro model. Similar to the sport but with the higher capacity batteries.
This is really cool, functional!! Thank you brother!

Is this the same as NQI gt or gts
That was a super well presented and produced review video of what looks like a really good scooter. And a great tourism promo to visit Israel too. Big smile here.
I still don't favour electric cars but electric scooters like this are a boon to local urban travel and I want one.
Do you have to have a drivers license to ride it?
How is it now
Thank you very much, I appreciate the manner in which you deliver your presentations.
Does it have any option for battery upgrades
What about when it rains ?
What about ice and snow ?
Freezing cold (no heat) ?
When it’s blazing hot ( no AC) ?
Not to mention sooo many more downsides, in fact, too many to delve into here.
Even if it, or any 2 wheeled vehicle were free to buy, and zero to operate...way too many limitations and compromises for me to consider as a practical commuter.
And yea...ALL ARE UNSAFE!
Note: though I watch every single of Micha’s videos, and enjoy them all immensely. I watch because I’m fascinated by the technology and capabilities and advantages electric drive transportation offers.
I just prefer the 4 wheeled variety
You do know how bikes work, yeah?
There are these things you can get called coats. Solves most of the weather problems. And when it's hot it's nice cos you get wind to cool you down. Unless your regularly carry heavy loads or people you'd be an idiot not to use a bike. Or at least try one before moaning about the negatives. There are pros and cons to everything including cars my man.
@@timscott3027
Pros n Cons are generally viewed as a weighted metric.
In my estimation...The Cons far outweigh the Pros.

There`s no storage space in this moped.

How much is a spare battery?
what is cost and is it available in India, where
how practical is something like this for carry groceries or anything else? also how good is it on wet roads or inclement weather?

@@masterofpuppets5072 whats f's your problem? pedalst bikes have cargo capacity under the seat. can this bike be run with only the bottom battery and cargo put under the seat? is ther after market basket that can be added to front or back? unless bikes like this can haul something they are just for joyriding.
Awesome video. How did you get that camera angle at 8:34?
Sorry for the late reply but in the uk the bike is limited to 45mph but your only doing like 43 mph and I've done 6k miles and it's no where near as toquey. as this niu it takes a while to build up power.
The smart check is fake as I unplugged everything and it still come back with no errors
I know this sounds stupid but do you have to have a drivers license to drive it? Could you just go on the bike lane?
