Just one thing you don't mention is that Splach actually charges almost $200 for shipping where most other scooters in the category have free shipping. It's also another $89 to have the NFC capability otherwise there is no locking protection out of the box. With the current base price at $1399 (for Titan 10, looks like the Titan 9 is not available anymore) that actually now puts the Titan in the $1700 price range shipped with NFC. Not a real bargain anymore when you can get a Mantis King GT for $1995 (or $1895 refurbished).

I do agree with your comment though, indiegogo and crowdfunding in general is a huge risk of you read the fine print. The fact that this was not their first campaign and they stated they already had the units in the warehouse in California helped me make my decision.
Great video and major hype for the Splach titan but not a any details on battery type or display brand only tires and lights can you do a second video so we can know more?? about Splach and their title fight!!!! and thank you!!!
This scooter looks awesome, but... my joyor s10-s cost $1050 and it has dual 1000 watt motors and hydraulic disk brakes. It has 10 inch tires, great suspension. I'm sure you can bottom it out if you try but I weight 291 lbs and haven't bottomed out yet. Also I got 21 miles of range during a torture test with my 291lbs self on it. If you ever get a chance to compare the 2 it would be a awesome video.
I have a Joyor. While they are not bad to ride, they are nowhere near comparable to models like the Apollo Ghost or Mantis V2…or any performance scooters. Joyors are cheap Chinese scooter that are meant to be sold to customers but not returned…whether they work or not. Also, Joyors are ((NOT)) waterproof or weather proof…trust me. If you don’t believe me, just take it for a joyride in the pouring rain one day and see what happens to it.
Which joyor do you have? It seems like you haven't had good luck with yours. Mine has been holding up pretty well. I was never worried about the ip rating on mine because I don't ride in damp or wet conditions, though I agree there is no water resistance. Anyway, I was comparing it to the splatch. The joyor may be a better scooter if you're a fatty like me lol. Also, I wouldn't consider the joyor S series scoots to be cheap Chinese throwaway scooters because they are easy to work on, have parts readily available, and many youtube repair videos. If I went back in time I would have probably got a yume though.
Once you have paid the shipping cost (£250 from hong kong). It turns out to be more expensive than a Mantis 10 X, V2... (Which is a far superior scooter)... 60 V, 24.5 AH, 1,000 W dual motors, sine wave controller, 40 mph, and full hydraulic brakes... All this, for just £1299 !
Titan = 52v, Mantis = 60v. (60v is superior to 52v). Titan has cable brakes, while the Mantis brakes are Hydraulic. (All the Best scooters have Hydraulic brakes). Titan's AH is 20.8, While the Mantis is 24.5. (The higher the number, the longer the range). The Mantis battery is LG... And the Mantis has Sine Wave controllers !.. @@jeremiahnatano4841 : If you can get one without paying the (Rip Off) shipping cost. Then it would be a good deal.😎On the other hand... If you end up paying $1500 - $1600 ? @Robin Arden I actually just bought my titan for under $1300 total. The total for mantis 10 is $1852 (just checked, with taxes). The battery is also 1092 W for mantis and 1080 for titan, hardly a diffrence except titan max is 44 miles while mantis 10 is 33 miles so real world data is needed. If you can justify paying $552 more for something that's comparable then sure but I can't, hydraulic brakes and a small few other things aren't worth $552. *I do agree with you I was disappointed with the shipping charge.
Good evening ESI. Thanks to you I'm looking forward to buy a splach. If I buy the 9inch scooter now, will I be able to change the tires to 10inch? or are the rims different.
The main Q is the price will stay or later they will bump it back to 2k mark, as now its considered a sale... As for 1.5k dualtron victor just destroys this escooter in every aspect!
Splach lied about the 37mph. That’s for the 10 inch model that costs a lot more. The 9 inch $1139 Titan has a top speed of 32mph which was not changed on the splach website until recently
I just got mine (Titan 10). I'm about 220 lbs. and live on a steep hill and in dual mode, the Titan handles it no problem. That's the main reason I went with a dual motor scooter and I'm not disappointed.
I’ve got a Wowgo skateboard that goes 25 ish but now I want one of these. I might need to get insured and an mot as if I get pulled over I’ll get 6 points and lose my black cab licence 😂
Why is Solar Scooters always overlooked, especially when they're a British company. Their P1 2.0 is better, cheaper at £969 with 10inch tyres a 52v battery 18ah or 936wh, the dual motors are 1,200w. It's better value for money and your also getting the Solar customer support.
The base model is $1299 in the US and thats with a 18 ah, 30 mile range (lower than titan). When you add the tron lighting (titan has lighting) brings it to $1439.. so titan is still better, cant justify spending $300 more for that. *objectively, titan looks a lot better (physically)
My friend has the p1 2.0 and has had issue after issue since buying it. The ride is also very uncomfortable with its very stiff suspension. Nobody really talks about solar because their products seem to be crap.
Borrows a lot from the single motor Dualtron Mini.. including the mud guards. The DT mini only falls slightly short of this for much less cash, but it is single motor.
I ordered mine on Friday, today is Wednesday and tracking indicates "Label has been created." I paid extra for air shipping so I hope to see some progress soon.
It arrived last Thursday. I have to admit, it is really sweet. I had to buy tire valve extenders to fill the tires to the proper level as the company deflates then for shipping. The EABS braking is way too aggressive when going down hills. I've learned how to get into the "p" settings but don't know how to adjust once there. I've emailed Splach to find out how. Other than that, it's really nice! I plan on doing my own review once I have a little more experience with it.@@ToxicHAL

emove cruiser probably should have been in the comparison. This is slightly faster top speed and out accelerating, but the added range and weight capacity plus similar price means I think the cruiser is probably the better buy for most people
EMOVE Cruiser is a great scooter! Based on my hands-on tests, both the SPLACH and Cruiser serve different needs. The Cruiser is built for long range cruising through urban environments, but it doesn't tackle off-road terrain well. The SPLACH, on the other hand, is in a league of its own when it comes to all-terrain riding. I would only opt for the Cruiser if I needed a super long range.
@@ElectricScooterInsider yes the dual motors helps a lot and tires though you can throw off-road tires on the cruiser. I am excited to see what splach comes up with in the future when/if they make a heavyweight one

There are many factors on light electric vehicles that are effected by the load they carry. As weight increases the amount of TIME the entire electrical system is under high current (amps) increases. Therefore the calculated ability of these components to dissipate heat MUST be increased. Larger wires, larger heat sinks, better or more MOSFIT's (power transistors) and improved circuit design is needed. Transistor and or circuit board failure would likely be the #1 issue. Also the battery must be able to deliver the increased amount of current for more time which it likely will since max current is regulated by both the battery electronics and the controller, however lower range is inevitable as weight increases. The next failure would likely be the ability of the brakes (which are mechanical cable operated) to dissipate heat with longer stopping distances required as weight increases. I don't think chassis issues would be the limiting factor. A good look inside the controller(s) would shead a lot of light on the lower 220lb rating of this scooter. That being said, I would not recommend overloading a weight rating, but if you do, accelerate less aggressively and allow more room for stopping.
